The girls stood in Ashley’s hall, the early morning air sneaking under the front door and cooling their ankles as they were entwined. Spencer pulled back from their kiss reluctantly and cupped a tanned cheek with her hand, gazing into warm brown eyes that even now took her breathe away.
“I have to go” she murmured, feeling Ashley’s arms tighten around her and a mouth brush lightly over her own. She responded to the kiss despite her words.
“Don’t go…”Ashley murmured back, pulling out of the kiss and rubbing her nose gently along the side of Spencer’s. “Stay and I’ll make it worth your while.” Spencer chuckled softly but pulled away.
“I can’t. I have to go home, Gray will leave for work soon and Elly can’t stay alone.”
The mention of her husband changed the atmosphere palpably and Spencer stepped back, conscious of the change.
“Call me” Ashley said, her brows furrowing. It wasn’t a question.
“Of course” Spencer replied earnestly. “I’ll…” she reached out a hand, tucking one stray dark curl behind Ashley’s ear. “I’ll see you soon.” She also made it a statement, not a question.
She drove home in the milky quiet that was dawn, arriving back in time to still find Gray’s car in the drive. Mindful not to park him in, she made her way silently to the door, praying he was asleep when she got there.
No such luck, he was at the dining table with a cup of coffee looking exhausted. He didn’t turn when she opened the door and she thought she might make it past him without anything being said. He caught her halfway to the hall:
“Where were you?”
She stopped, but mirroring his movements from the night before, she didn’t turn around.
“At a friend’s house.” She prayed she didn’t look too rumpled. She figured she could plead sleeping on a couch.
Or doing something on a couch.
“You just leave. Just like that?” he sounded pissed off. Spencer wasn’t in the mood.
“I wasn’t home for four hours Gray. I think on the balance of things that means I have a long way to go until I catch up to you.” She kept walking. If he replied, she ignored it and threw herself into the shower.

HECK YES!!! Ooo man how happy am I that just happened..but yeah I hope he doesnt go all Troll on her..U kno point, grunt and the swinging of the clubs!!!can u say BAD! and yeah whats up with “pimpin” my fiance up..U dont like me do you? *tear* lol..okay anyways like I said awesome chapter..I now have a dire need to goto the zoo now.So i can have a life altering moment, so i can to figure out what i want to do…=) much love from the fluffy kids!!!
That has to be hard for grey, but i must admit im happy for Spashley. So keep on posting because you did a good job with this one. im no bannerman, but i’ll find something to bribe you with…someday…lol PMS
WOOT WOOT!! you posted! and what’s more – I replied!! I found time out of working in the TV studio and on productions to read and reply – being a TV producer does serious damage to your free time!! Loving this story, and loving your one shot, however dark and morbid it was – but I like dark and morbid, as well as seriously hot… seems like you can do it all. You really are uberclomle!! although the name is a bit nerdy ;-) right, I’d write more but I need to go shower and make myself fooking hot for tonight’s festivities… shouldn’t take long ;-) write more asap, and remember, God loves you! lol.

THAT’S RIGHT! That’s muthafuckin right, ahahaha. Now, she has to deal with Ashley and see what she wants, but even if Spencer wasn’t gonna be with Ash she still needed to end her marriage because it isn’t working, and she isn’t happy. Update soon.

Wow. I was a bit worried about what the aftermath would be like, but you handled it very well. :) Once again, I love how you handle Spencer’s emotions. Not hysterical, not too calm, not suddenly realizing her sexuality and becoming a one-woman, self-righteous pride parade. Awesome. Now, WHERE ARE MY CHOCOLATES?!

I don’t think he’s cheating on her. I think he’s just not in love with her anymore. Either way, I hope Spencer doesn’t hurt Ash. I wonder how Elly will feel especially since her father acts like she doesn’t exist. I hope she likes Ash and doesn’t torture her. I love that she write her as a normal kid, you know? And she’s known for throwing tantrums;) PMS

I just discovered this board and this story. I love it. I love the tension between the 2 women and the way you built the inevitable leaving of the husband. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to an update.
