    Hi, my name is Spencer Carlin, and I totally live in the past.

    “Mr. Isaacs totally has a crush on me,” Ashley declared as she sat down for lunch, kissing my cheek on the way down.

    “Well he wouldn’t be the only one,” I told her, grinning. She smiled back at me and displayed what looked like an English paper.

    “I found, like, 4 typos just in the first paragraph, none of which he marked when he was grading. And I wrote the essay on the wrong book. But he still gave me a 95.”

    “You’re so lucky!” I told her. “Mrs. Reed is insane… no matter how much effort I put in, I can never get anything higher than a 90.”

    “Serves you right for taking AP classes,” she teased as she poked my arm. “So… what do you want to do this weekend? My mom’s gonna be off in San Diego with her man of the day… my house will be totally parent-free.” She wagged her eyebrows suggestively, and I smiled in response.

    “I would love to, but I also sort of told Aiden we would hang with him a little.”

    “Spence…”

    “We haven’t hung out with him in weeks, Ash.”

    “But-“

    “I promise I’ll make it up to you,” I whispered.

    “Fine,” she relented with a smirk. I knew that would do the trick. Ashley and Aiden were more like brother and sister than anything else. One minute they could hate each other, and the next they’d be telling each other boob jokes and showing the other the chewed up food in their mouths. While I certainly wouldn’t have had a problem with having Ashley all to myself this weekend, I felt kind of bad about breaking up their friendship. Ashley had the tendency to forget about him sometimes, so I sort of felt obligated to make sure they hung out every so often.

    “When do we have to do this?” she asked.

    “Tonight… he wanted us to meet at his house at 8.”

    “Alright, well, I’ll pick you up at 7 then.”

    “It’s not going to take an hour to get from my house to his house, Ash,” I pointed out.

    “I know,” she smirked. Oh… got it.

    “You’re such a perv,” I teased.

    “Yes she is,” Aiden chimed in as he took a seat opposite Ash and I.

    3. Thank you soooooo much for updating here, too. I can’t wait until Ashley and Spencer see each other again. If it weren’t for Michelle, I’d think Aiden was gay. Although its cute, he needs to stop getting upset when two girls don’t have time for him especially when they’re a couple. Loser! I hope they use him just for his sperm!
