"Ashley GET DOWN HERE! There’s someone at the door for you!" Mom screams angrily. I run down the steps almost tripping. I just have this feeling it’s Spence. "Hey! What’s up?" I ask grinning like a fool. "Nothing I just felt like seeing you. Nice PJ’s." Spence says taking me in.

"Oh, yea sorry, I just woke up like a second ago cause my mom was down here screaming bloody murder. Wanna go up to my room?" I say my face reddening.

We run up to my room past my mom. I slam the door. I look over at Spence and she looks antsy.

"Promise me you won’t do anything with Aiden. Yesterday was really special. I feel different now." Spence says in all seriousness. He’s not gonna take you away from me.

"I promise. But you don’t have to worry about that cause you’ll be here. I don’t care if my mom thinks I’m being corrupted or whatever is going through her thick head. I need you." I say just as seriously. He’s a flea, no an ameba on a flea compared to you.

"That’s funny Ash. Did you know rat’s fleas started the Black Plague?" Spence says.

 "Spence, I didn’t say anything about fleas." I say.

"Yes you did. I heard you."

"No I didn’t I thought it"

"Kool!" we say and think in unsion.

"Ok we really have to stop." again in sync.

This is so wierd! Maybe this is the power?

 "Spence think something." I say

Aiden’s an ass!

"Ohmigod I heard that in my head like i hear when I think." I say. I sit down this is a bit much.

"That’s wierd, it stopped." Spence says sitting with me.

"Maybe it only happens when we’re in sync. You know, like going on the same track." I say trying to understand.

"Yes you do Spence! You deserve the best." I say not sure if she said or thought the last part.
