Lyrical Passion’s: Concert Daze
It was a fucking maze just trying to get here to this place, the parking lot was fucking frantic and it took us almost forty five minutes just to get a spot and then by the time we got through the ticket scanners we could here the first band playing, I look over towards Bette and see a look of disgust cross her face.
“Fuck where late,” she lamented.
“Bette its ok,” I tried to reassure her, “at least we didn’t miss him.”
She looked at me with a sly smile across her face, “Your right… let’s get going,” she grabs my hand and leads me towards our seats.
I can smell the aroma filter throughout the stadium, a mixture of pot and cigarettes enter my nose, its potent enough to get me just a little bit off. I look down towards the stage and I can’t believe it, Rob Zombie is finishing his set. I shake my head, what on earth got into Bette to go out and get tickets to this, I never even knew she liked this kind of music, I think to myself as the final passage of “Dragula” passes over his lips;
Dig through the ditches,
Burn through the witches
I slam in the back of my
Dragula
Dig through the ditches,
Burn through the witches
I slam in the back of my
Dragula
I look over my shoulders towards Bette, “Why on earth are we here?”
From the look on her face she is a little put off, “I thought you liked…” she pauses and looks down, “Fuck lets just go…”
“No Bette… I love this,” I say to her as I turn to face her, “I’m just not sure why you would do this… you never once gave me the impression that you liked this kind of music… I’m just a little surprised… that’s all.”
I can still see her reservation, “Look T… I just thought we could do something different… and I know how much you love him, I just thought…”
I gently rest my hands along her cheeks, “Look at me Bette… we are together now… I’m not going anywhere… you have to let go,” I pull her into a nice passionate kiss, “and this here,” I wave my hands towards the crowded stadium, “this is amazing.”
