Chapter 3

Bette watched Tina while she slept. She had to be the most beautiful woman she had ever seen – ever touched. Thoughts of her time with Candace clouded her mind. God, I was so stupidso stupid. How could I have risked losing Tina? Look at her. She looks like an angel. She must be a saint to put up with me.

Tina stirred – Did you say something Babe?

Only that I love you Tina. Thats all – that I love you.

I love you too Babe. Im really glad you found my ring – I felt naked without it.

Naked huh? Bettes smile was playful.

Yeah – naked! Tina tossed back at her.

Hey Tina, I know you must still be hurting – I know all of this STUFF will not go away over night. You know – I crave you – I really crave you. I would love nothing more than to make love to you – with you. Promise me something?

Whats that hon?

That youll let me know when you feel ready to make love – I dont want to force you into anything. You need to be ready – Ill follow your lead. Im just happy youre with me – and Im willing to wait until you feel the time is right. It has to be right – it has to feel right. You know what I mean?

God Bette, I am so in love with you – you intoxicate me. I love being with you – laying in bed with you. You are my soul mate – Im convinced of that now more than ever. However, you do need to work on those cooking skills! Tina giggled.

Youre such a smart *****! Bette said as she continued to feast on the image of the loveliest person shed ever seen. What – Instant Oatmeal and Shake N Bake Chicken isnt good enough for you? Did I mention that I make a great ice cube too?

Youre skills in the kitchen are definitely what I find most attractive about you Bette. Tinas eyes were bright and filled with mischief. She loved it when they got into these playful banters.

Tina looked into Bettes eyes – a serious look – Ill tell you when Im ready – I just need a little more time – thank you for giving me time Bette.

Tina – Ill give you whatever you want – whatever you need.

Bette looked thoughtfully at Tina and reached out to touch her cheek. You are so beautiful Tina. I am the luckiest woman in the world. How did I ever find you in the first place? Someone was smiling down on me. Hey, Ive been thinking – I think I should take a little time off from work. I want to spend time on us – and on me. I lost sight of what was important – work will be there when I get back. What do you think?

I think you need to do whatever feels right for you. I told you – Im here to support you in whatever you do. I took the next couple of days off – Id love to spend them with you. Let me know what you decide.

Bette had a quizzical look on her face – Lets see – work – Tina – work – Tina. Hmmm! I dont know – thats a tough choice. She smiled – I choose you T.

Tina smiled at Bette. She thought to herself – Bettes really trying to change. Shes trying to do whats right. God, I love her for that. I adore her.

Tina reached out and caressed Bettes hair. Again, she looked into Bettes eyes – so intense with desire. Those beautiful dark brown eyes. Tina rolled over so that her body was dangerously close to Bettes. She looked into Bettes eyes again. I really love you Bette. I need to kiss you – I have to.

Bette looked at Tina – seeing the desire in her eyes. She reached up and brushed Tinas hair out of her eyes. She gently cupped the sides of Tinas face in both of her hands. She looked at Tinas luscious lips – slightly parted – wanting

Tina leaned in and began kissing Bette. She slid her tongue across Bettes upper lip and then her lower lip. Bette let out a moan – reflecting her desire. Tina stared down at her and said I could kiss you all day. I love the way you taste – so sweet. Tina gently resumed kissing Bette. She parted Bettes lips with her tongue – Bette allowed Tinas tongue to slide into her mouth. Her own tongue began to dance with Tinas. Their kiss was so soft – so gentle. Neither of them could get enough of the other.

Tears filled Bettes eyes. Tina noticed them. Baby, are you ok?

Bette replied Yeah, Im ok. I was just thinking about how stupid I was. How could I ever do anything to risk losing this? How could I think that anything could be better than what I have with you? How could I ever Tina cut Bette off with another passionate kiss.

Bette, were together now. Thats what matters – thats all that matters right now. Do you know what I mean?

Bette opened her mouth to answer, but before she could utter a sound, Tina leaned in to kiss her again – with more passion than before.
