Oh my god. You two are so ***** cute. Shane says as she scratches her head. Alice and Kit are standing there with a blank look on their face. What? Bette asks. Nothing I just never thought Id see the day when my baby sister fell in love. Kit what are you talking about? Oh come on. I see it. We all see it. Baby girl you have not left her side all night. You havent let go of her hand for more than two seconds. The look in your eyes when you look at her and that kiss. Bette begins to turn bright red and she isnt looking at me. Alice finally speaks Bette Porter in love…I cant believe it…Shane has she been hitting your stash? Before Alice can run, Bette has charged at her and pushed her into the pool. Everyone laughs as Alice rises to the surface. Haha very funny Porter…look we all knew you had a heart or at least we suspected. We just never thought you would open it to anyone. So now use it again and help me out. Bette walks to the edge and lends Alice her hand. Alice reaches up and pulls Bette into the pool with her. Kit, Shane, and I are all still laughing as they both climb out all drenched. You guys think its funny huh? Bette says as she walks over to me. Alice has moved closer to Shane. Bette nods at Alice. Before I catch what is going on Bette has picked me up while Alice has grabbed Shane. Now all four of us are in the pool. We are all splashing around. Kit went inside and turned on some music for us. She refused to get into the pool and we decided to let it slide. We did need someone dry to bring us drinks and stuff. She sat down on the chair next to the pool and watched us all splash each other.

It is a beautiful night tonight. The stars are dancing in the sky and the moon provides a nice romantic glow. While Shane and Alice are fighting over the raft, Bette pulls me to the step at the opposite end of the pool so we are alone. She sits down on the step and pulls me in between her legs so my back is leaning against her. She wraps her arms around me and holds me tight. And in this moment for the life of me I cannot remember why I was ever scared to be with her.

As we sit here in silence my mind drifts back over the past month. Our first date was amazing. Bette picked me up and took me to a nice Italian restaurant. I had never been on a date with a girl before and I was extremely nervous. She was very understanding and has continued to be. She has let this progress on my pace. And as I sit here in her arms it suddenly hits me that I have fallen for this women and fallen hard. I think about her when she is not there. I love how she looks at me and makes me melt with her touch. Ive been trying to deny it because Im scared of how my friends and family will react. But you know what its my life and Bette is what makes me happy.

Whatcha thinking? Bette breaks the silence and my train of thought. How beautiful the night sky is. I lie. Ive just admitted my feelings to myself, Im not ready to confess them to Bette. It is pretty amazing tonight, but that partly has to do with the fact that I have the most beautiful woman in the world in my arms. I turn around and give her a kiss. I place my hands on her cheeks so you love me? I think I threw her off guard because she has this look of complete shock on her face. Well…um…I um…my friends ya know…they… They saw right through you Bette. Yeah I guess they did. But I guess I cant help it. I cant help the fact that I have fallen in love with you. I know it hasnt been that long but no one has made me feel the way you do. Every time I see you my heart stops. All I think about is holding you and making you happy. I know that this is all very new to you, and Im willing to take it slow cause I want you around for awhile. Her confession has blown me away. I expected her to play off their suspicion off as some joke they were making. She didnt. She was open and honest with me. A simple yes would have done it. I say to try and lighten the mood a little. She continues to stare deep into my eyes. Yes I love you. She says barely just above a whisper as she pulls me into a kiss. Well Miss Porter I have sorta fallen for you too. A huge smile spreads across her face and she looks so cute. Miss Kennard would you do me the honor of staying with me tonight? Now Im scared. I mean I knew the ***** thing would come up but Im not prepared for it now. Tina, theres no pressure here. I just want to hold you thats all and be able to wake up next to you. I told you that I will not rush you. She must have seen the panic flash in my eyes cause thats exactly what I needed to hear. I would love to stay here.

We swim back toward the rest of the gang. Alice and Shane are sharing the raft and are quietly talking to each other. I give Bette a wink, we swim up unnoticed, and flip the raft over. Alice and Shane go flying into the water. Well we were wondering when the two of you were gonna join us Alice exclaims as she wipes the water off her face. Hey guys why dont we dry off and go pop in a movie. You all can crash here. I know she invited them all to stay to make me feel more comfortable about staying but I was really looking forward to it being just us. Oh goody a sleep over. Hey Shane can I borrow some dry clothes? Yeah Al come on. Alice and Shane exit the pool followed by Bette and me.
