    Moving On…2

Bette lied in bed like a lonely child waiting for her mother to tuck her in for bed. She didnt know what to do. So she called in sick to work and told James not to bother her with any phone calls. Today was the day she was going to call Tina, and get her wife back. Bette picked up the phone and dialed Alices apartment hoping to catch her before work.

    Alice: Hello?

Bette: Hey Alice, is Tina there?

Alice: Well look who finally decides to call. You know I was beginning to wonder

Bette: Look, I dont have time for your bullshit right now Alice, let me talk to Tina.

Alice: Well looks like you going to have to put up with my bullshit right now because Michelle already picked her up for work.

    Bette: What? Whos Michelle?

Alice: If I were you I wouldnt be worried about Michelle. All of ***** LA knows about you two splitting up. My phone has not stopped ringing!

Bette: Listen Alice, if I dont get a hold of her on her cell phone, please tell her I called and to call me back as soon as she gets home, okay?

    Alice: Okay but

    Bette: Bye Alice.

Bette hung up and thought about what she told AliceWhen she gets homehome is here with me. Youve really fucked up this time Porter. I need to bring my wife to her real home. So she dialed Tinas cell.

Tina: God, I feel like Im a teenager again skipping school!

Michelle: I know, everything seems to be a lot more fun when you do it while risking your job!

Michelle led Tina to a bench in the park and sat rather close to her. Tina was oblivious to Michelles attraction to her. But she wasnt oblivious to how attractive Michelle was.

Michelle: So, have you been having a good time?

Tina: Yeahyeah I have. Beats answering phones all day at work ya know?

Tina looked up and saw Michelle looking at her rather seductively, locking Tina into her hazel eyes. Tina suddenly felt uncomfortable so she quickly put down her purse and ice cream cup, and excused herself to the restroom.

While Tina was in the restroom, Michelle felt the bench vibrate. She looked down and saw it was Tinas phone. She picked it up and read Home on the caller ID. Thinking Home was Alice; she playfully picked up the phone.

    Michelle: Hey *****.

    Bette: Tina? Who is this?

Michelle: Oh, Im sorryis this not Alice?

Bette: No, this is Bette, where is Tina and who are you?

Michelle remembered Tina talking about her ex Bette occasionally and instantly apologized.

Michelle: Oh, Im so sorry, this is Michelle, Tinas friend. She is in the restroom right now. Should I have her call you back?

Bette held herself back to not tell this Michelle girl off for answering someone elses phone, especially Tinas phone.

Bette: Just tell her Bette called to call me when she gets back.

With that Bette hung the phone up and flung herself back on the bed. God, she sounded beautiful. And for the first time, the thought actually crossed her mind that she might not get Tina back.

Michelle hung up the phone and saw Tina making her way back to the bench.

Michelle: Are you okay? You left so abruptly.

Tina: I know, sorry, but Im okay now.

Michelle: Well your phone rang while you were gone and I saw it said Home so I answered it thinking it was Alice. But it wasnt, it was your friend Bette, she said for you to call her back. It sounded pretty urgent.

Suddenly Tina was not okay any more.

Tina: Michelle, Im sorry to cut our day of fun so short, but do you thing you could take me home now?

    Michelle: Sure, you okay?

Tina: Ill be okay, but right now I need you take me a different way home.
