Chapter 33

Tina and Jackie had gone out early in the morning to get the necessary party goods for the gathering that was to take place that night.

Bette – well – Bette stayed home with her favorite doggy – JAKE!

“Ok Jake – listen – we’re supposed to be cleaning the house. But you know what? – We’re gonna have some fun instead! Are you in? I thought you would be! This is gonna be great!”

Jake stared at Bette – she stared back at him. A smile spread across her lips! “Now listen Jakey – this is our little secret – ok? Can you keep a secret? Good – I knew you could!”

“I’ll be right back buddy – you wait here – I need to go out to my car – I have a present for you!”

Jake waited patiently for Bette to return.

“Ok little man – get a load of this!” Bette had a bag in her hand. She opened it – inside was a JAKE SIZED life jacket and a JAKE SIZED surf board.

Jake danced in circles – he was excited!

“Ok Jakey – let’s get this puppy on you!” Bette bent down and put the life jacket on Jake. “Great – perfect fit flea bag! You ready to go surfing?”

Jake barked! He said “YES” in dog – of course!

“Ok – come on! I need to go get changed – then you’re gonna ride the big one baby!” Jake followed Bette into the bedroom. He watched her as she changed into her bikini. “Don’t get any ideas Jake!” Bette took her thong and hung it in the bathroom. “You know – I was going to get you your own – but I couldn’t find one your size.” Jake just continued to stare at Bette. “Ok Jake – you can ‘avert your gaze’ any time now! Please stop staring at me – don’t forget – we’re going out to the pool – I’m the one in charge – don’t you ever forget that Jakeman! Let’s go!!”

Jake followed Bette out to the pool. She picked up Jake after throwing the little doggy surf board into the pool. “Here we go – now don’t be afraid Jakey – I won’t let you drown – unless you really piss me off!” Bette walked down the pool stairs with Jake in her arms. “Ok – this is gonna be alot of fun – and you can show off for everybody tonight. By the way – when you meet your auntie Dana – you’re going to notice that she is a cat lover.” Bette whispered in Jake’s ear. “It’s ok with me if you express your total, absolute disgust to her about that! Come on Jake – let me hear your best growl! Grrrrrrrrr!”

Jake growled back at Bette.

“Good job my man – good job!”

Bette didn’t realize it – but Jackie and Tina had returned unexpectedly – Tina forgot her credit card. They both stood in the kitchen and looked out the open window. They both found it difficult not to laugh as they watched what was unfolding in front of them.

“Ok Jake – all aboard!” Bette put Jake on the surf board. “Now don’t look so worried – it’s gonna be fun!” Bette began pushing the surf board – with an apprehensive Jake on it – around the pool. “Vrrroooom! Putt…putt…putt…vrooom!”

Tina smiled and thought for sure that Bette had lost her mind. She whispered to Jackie – “You know – in a few months I’m going to have three kids! Do you believe this?”

Jackie looked at Tina and smiled. “Absolutely incredible! Cute – too cute! You’re going to have your work cut out for you Tina – Bette is going to spend her time teaching those babies all kinds of things – good luck sweetie!”

Bette pushed Jake around the pool one more time. Jake was much more comfortable on his ‘board’ now – Bette could have sworn he was smiling! “Oh – so now you think you’re hot ***** don’t you Jake!” Jake let out a woof in agreement!

“Ok Jake – we need to get out now and move some things around so Tina thinks I actually did some cleaning.” Bette lifted Jake out of the pool – he ran off. Bette pushed herself up on the edge of the pool – and there in front of her – stood Tina.

“Oh *****!” Bette exclaimed at the sight of Tina.

“So – you are going to make me think you actually did some cleaning today huh?”

Bette was now standing in front of Tina. “Tina…ah…I…ah…Jake and I…ah…”

“Forget how to speak Porter?”

Tina put her hands on Bette’s hips and pulled her close to her. “So – what was that Bette?”

“Jake and I were just – bonding T! Yeah that’s it – we were bonding!”

“Ahha!”

Bette grabbed Tina’s face and kissed her. “It was all his idea T! He made me do it!”

“Ahha! So Jake went out and got the life jacket and the surf board and forced you to do this – instead of cleaning?”

“Yup – that’s what happened – exactly what happened. He told me he’d torture me if I didn’t cooperate.”

“AHHA!”

Bette wrapped herself around Tina. “Bette – you’re getting me all wet!”

“Oh really? Are you trying to get me all hot and bothered Tina?”

“No – I thought I’d have my way with you later. Bette?”

“Yeah T?”

“Please tell me you’re not really losing your mind – that this is just a phase you’re going through.”

“Ok – this is just a phase I’m going through!”

“Ahha!”

“I love you Tina – you still love me right? Even if I am losing my mind?”

“Yeah – I still love you! I’ll always love you – even if the men in the white coats come to take you away.” Tina stared into Bette’s eyes – “You know – that whole thing was really cute!” Tina kissed Bette gently.
At that moment – Jake – still wearing his life jacket tore past them with Bette’s thong in his mouth.

Bette broke away from Tina and tore after him. “You little ***** – after I teach you how to surf – this is how you repay me?”

All Tina could do was laugh. She had to admit to herself that she actually enjoyed this phase Bette was going through.
