Shhh come on baby wake upwe have to go to aunty Danas so that mommy and I can spend a morning together before you give her your surprise okay?

Liz didnt say anything as she rolled over and tried to go back to sleep. It was six thirty on Sunday morning and it was a very special Sunday. It was mothers day and Tina had decided to do something sweet for Bette so her and Liz had spent all week getting a gift ready for Bette. Tina had to make sure Liz kept it a secret though and convincing a two year old to keep a secret is not as easy as it sounds. She never left Liz alone with Bette for too long because she was afraid Liz would spoil the surprise and Tina really wanted Bette to be surprised this year. Last year Bette had given Tina a framed eight by ten black and white of her holding Liz that Bette had taken one random morning. Tina was looking down at Liz in the picture and Liz was only about six months old at the time so you couldnt see either of their faces and it just looked like a mother holding her child, but Tina thought it was beautiful. She knew Bette had a passion for photography but Bette rarely ever showed Tina her work so for her to frame it and everything meant a lot to Tina. That picture now hung over Lizs crib in the nursery and sometimes when Tina is rocking Liz to sleep she just stares happily at that picture and feels the love that Bette captured so perfectly on film. Tina had thought long and hard about what Liz could give her now that she was old enough to do something, even if just something small, and Tina had come up with the perfect plan. She had arranged for Alice and Dana to watch Liz in the morning while she showered Bette with affection before joining them at Danas house for a mothers day brunch where Liz could give Bette her gift. Alice had been really excited about this and she went all out with planning everything and Shane and Kit pitched in and said they would provide the food and refreshments for this event with a warning from Tina that there had better not be too much alcohol.

Tina picked up a still sleeping Liz and carried her quietly out of the house and put her gently down in the car seat before getting in and driving over to Danas. She pulled up and took the still sleeping Liz out of the car and carried her to the door. Alice opened the door with a big smile on her face and she led Tina upstairs to Danas bedroom so that she could put Liz down on the bed. After making sure she was comfortable Tina went back downstairs to join Alice and Dana in the kitchen.

So everything is set for today right?

Yup. Now go home and have ***** with your wife so shes not grumpy today.

Tina laughed as Alice practically kicked her out of the house and she waived to Dana and Alice as she drove away. She returned home ten minutes later to find Bette awake and sitting at the kitchen table reading the newspaper and drinking orange juice. Tina walked in and greeted her with a kiss.

Morning babe.

Morning babywhere did you go so early?

I went to drop Liz off at Alices so we could spend the morning together.

Bette grinned at Tina who had made her way over and in to Bettes lap. Bette ran her hands up and down Tinas sides and then slowly up under her top before leaning in and kissing Tina softly on the lips. She pulled away and looked at Tina happily as she traced little circles on Tinas skin with her thumbs.

Hey do you know what today is?

Yup.

Tina leaned in and kissed Bette softly again and giggled when Bette tickled her sides lightly. Tina squirmed around on Bettes lap before finally grabbing Bettes hands and intertwining her fingers with Bettes.

Its mothers day baby. Happy mothers day.

So this morning together was planned huh?

You could say that.

Tina smiled wickedly before standing up and leading Bette back to bed. Tina gently removed all of Bettes clothing then her own as she pushed Bette back on the bed and climbed on top of her. She let her body rest against Bettes and she could feel the electricity between them as they lay perfectly still just looking into each others eyes. Bette moved her knee up a little and Tina smiled when Bettes thigh put pressure between her legs. Tina sat up and straddled Bettes waist and pulled Bette up so that they were once again eye-to-eye. Tina leaned down and ran her tongue along Bettes lips before using it to part them and she moaned softly when Bettes tongue snaked out and caught her by surprise. They sat there kissing each other passionately for a few minutes before Tina felt Bettes hands start to wander over her body. Goosebumps popped up wherever Bettes fingers wandered and Tina soon felt her breathing becoming labored as Bette softly explored her body. She started grinding her hips into Bettes and soon she felt Bette reacting to her and moving her hips to meet her half way. Bette let her right hand trail down Tinas body, over her ***** and stopping to squeeze one lightly, before continuing down and slowly toying with Tinas wetness. Tina moaned again when Bettes fingers entered her and she unconsciously started rocking her hips in time with Bettes gentle thrusts. Tina had one hand wrapped tightly in Bettes hair as she moved in for another kiss and Tina decided she didnt want to do this alone. She managed to scoot back just a little on Bettes lap bringing Bettes hand with her and she let her own hand drift south to Bettes opening. Tina held Bettes gaze as they made love to each other and she felt tears coming to her eyes as she saw the love reflected in Bettes. She loved when their lovemaking was slow and gentle like this and it was these times that Tina felt so safe and protected by Bette, and also very loved. Soon both women were slowly and seductively moving to a rhythm that only lovers could share as Tina felt her body begin to shake. Bette applied pressure to Tinas ***** with her thumb and Tina copied Bettes actions as the ***** seemed to travel throughout Tinas body, down her arm, and into Bettes causing both women to cry out in ecstasy.

They continued to stroke each other lightly while still staring into each others eyes and when their hands finally stopped moving Tina bent down and kissed Bette lovingly on the mouth. They were both covered in sweat and still breathing unevenly but there was no denying the smiles that seemed to take up most of their faces as they looked at each other. Bette lay back on the bed and pulled Tina down with her as she wrapped her arms around Tina and held her close. Tina could hear Bettes heartbeat through her chest and she smiled at how fast it was. It was nice to know that after ten years together and two years of motherhood that Bette still adored her like she did in the beginning. Tina looked up at Bette who had her eyes half shut and a goofy smile on her face and she giggled at the sight. Bette opened one eye and peered down at her before joining Tinas laughter and speaking to her softly.

Whats so funny baby?

You look so exhausted. Guess youre getting too old for this huh?

I am not!

Tina laughed as Bette began tickling her again and soon Tina was pinned down on the bed with Bette mercilessly attacking her ribs and Tina laughed so hard she yelled at Bette to stop before she wets the bed. Bette laughed at Tinas choice of words and she pointed out that the bed was already wet from a few minutes ago. Tina laughed again and they spent the next hour or so just lying in each others arms only moving to make love to each other or use the bathroom. At ten thirty Tina said they needed to get up because they had to be at Danas in an hour. Bette looked confused but Tina explained that they had offered to host a mothers day lunch so Bette just shrugged and joined Tina in the shower so they could get ready. One hour later they had arrived at Danas and Bette was surprised to see Kits car there.

Yeahits pretty much the whole gang.

Ohokay.

Bette and Tina walked in and were greeted by Liz who let out a shriek and practically few out the door and into Bettes arms. Bette looked worried for a second thinking that something might have happened to her but when she saw Dana following her threatening to tickle her she smiled, as she understood. Bette kissed Liz on the cheek and Liz smiled at her.

Hi mommy.

Hi babywere aunty Alice and aunty Dana nice to you?

Yes.

Tina laughed at Lizs remark and she opened her arms and took Liz from Bette and also kissed her hello as the three of them walked into the house. Kit, Shane, Jenny, and Nancy were already there and Alice had just finished setting the food out so everyone began eating. Tina teased Alice about becoming domesticated but Alice just stuck her tongue out at Tina and snickered a little as she spoke.

Hey between me and Dana who do you think would be better at this?

Tina looked at Dana before looking back at an expectant Alice and she just shrugged and laughed at Alices self proclaimed homemaking skills. Lunch was just underway and everyone was talking and having a great time. Bette wasnt that hungry, she normally isnt in the mornings, so she fed Liz while Tina ate her lunch and when she was done they switched. Shane said she was impressed that they had their routine down so perfectly but both Tina and Bette agreed it had taken a while for them to be able to do this. Nancy watched them proudly and she joked about teaching Tina everything she knew about parenthood. After everyone was done eating Tina took Liz upstairs to change her and get Bettes gift and soon they returned to find everyone still just talking and relaxing after a big lunch. Tina held Bettes gift behind her back and Liz looked up at her and laughed almost uncontrollably.

Okay sweetiehere you goyeah nowgo give it to mommy.

Liz took the wrapped package over to Bette who was talking to Alice about some art show coming up but she stopped when she saw Liz standing there holding the gift. Bette looked from Liz to Tina with a smile on her face and Tina just smiled back.

Liz got you somethingwell actually she made you something.

Open it mommy.

Everyone turned to watch as Bette carefully unwrapped the gift. When she got the paper off and opened the box she felt tears form in her eyes as she looked down at her gift. Inside the box was a standard size piece of paper (8 x 11) that was framed with a wire on the back to hang it up. On the paper was a stenciled picture of two hills with a sun in the upper right hand corner and three people standing on the hills holding hands. It was obvious that someone had drawn this first then Liz had gone over it with crayons and the colors were a very interesting combination of green, brown, blue, purple, orange and yellow, but Bette loved it. Bette ran her fingers over the glass and she could see Lizs attempt to keep the colors separate and although they were nowhere near in the lines (come on she is 2 years old for crying out loud!!) it was a work of love and Bette thought it was perfect. She noticed that the three people were her, Tina and Liz and she laughed at how Liz had made each person distinct. In the drawing Bettes hair was blue and it was very very very curly and big and Tinas was yellow and slightly green and Lizs was purple. Bette wiped her tears before they fell and reached down to pull Liz into her arms as she gave her a big kiss on the cheek and thanked her for the lovely picture. Bette handed the picture to Nancy who laughed when she saw it but she too felt tears coming on when she thought of how loving of an act this had been. Everyone gushed over the picture and Bette stood up and walked over to Tina and wrapped her arms around her as she spoke softly to her.

You can hang it in your office and every time youre having a bad day just look at it and it will remind you of us.

So how long did it take for you two to do that?

Umabout a week. I had to keep redrawing it though because she kept getting a little out of hand with the colors. Your hair almost had a hint of orange in it.

Bette smiled as she leaned in and kissed Tina on the lips. They kissed for a minute or so before they felt Liz doing her best to wedge herself between them. Tina pulled away and laughed a little as she bent down and picked Liz up. Liz was smiling brightly at them and Bette laughed again as she happily hugged both Tina and Liz.

Liz just smiled at Bette and reached out so Bette took her from Tina and Liz immediately wrapped her arms around Bette. She looked like she wanted to say something but she couldnt remember what it was so Tina leaned in and whispered into Lizs ear. Liz beamed when she heard the words as she remembered what they were now and she smiled at Bette again before speaking.

Happy mothers day mommy.

Bette smiled at Liz with tears in her eyes again. This was one of those times Bette would never forget and she leaned her forehead gently against Lizs.

Tina smiled at this interaction between them and she leaned in and rested her head on Bettes shoulder and looked at Lizs smiling face.

I love you too sweetheart.

Liz just smiled and rested her head on Bettes shoulder. Tina leaned in and kissed Bette again softly before kissing Liz on the forehead. Bette sighed happily as she held Liz with one arm and Tina with the other as Alice took their picture and she knew that this was one moment she would always want to have so she asked Alice for the negative of that picture. One month later Bette surprised Tina with that picture blown up to 5×7 and framed in black and white like the other. Bette had made two copies of the photograph so one sat in their bedroom at home and the other, well the other hung next to Lizs drawing in Bettes office of course.
