As Tina opened Alices door she heard Dana laughing. She was there with Shane, helping Alice, making some dinner so theyd all celebrate Bettes return.

Bette shyly followed Tina into the living room, finding Dana setting the coffee table. With her usual sweet face she run to greet Bette, opening her arms to hug her. Shane nodding moved closer too, tapping Bette on the shoulder, nodding with a big smile on her face. Alice, in the kitchen felt Tinas presence behind her, moving closer to help her.

How are you Tee? Alice words were full of concern and hope, and with wanted joy.

Just now, I mean, this afternoon Bette was sitting down on the sofa while Dana, looking at her was taking a seat on the floor as Tina was helping Shane in the kitchen while Alice was just looking at them, at all of them.

They enjoyed dinner with Bettes stories, they all laughed at some of them and just nodded at others as there were no words to add to some of her India memories. Tina excused herself to go to the bathroom and thats when Alice, taking Tinas seat, asked,

Bette laughed, not just by the sweet memory but because she knew that once again, Tina was the one who did all the talking her laughter surprised not only Alice but Shane and Dana as well, its been so long since they ve seen her laughing so freely, so honestly.

Al! Dana yelled, pinching Alice on the leg, making Shane chuckled.

She walked to Aliced bathroom walking into her bedroom first, finding Tina lying in bed, peacefully sleeping.

It melted Bettes heart to see her like that, as so many nights she dreamt about her like that, peacefully sleeping in bed. As if a force was driving her, Bette walked towards her and looking at her, she slowly jumped on the bed. Lying at Tinas side, feeling her warm body, her soft skin, smelling her particular scent, quietly she sweetly put her arm around Tinas waist, placing her trembling had on her belly, on their belly. Hiding her face on Tinas neck Bette fall asleep the moment she close her eyes. All the excitement, the exhaustion, the nerves and the jet-lag finally getting into her.

Alice, Dana and Shane found them like that, sleeping peacefully in each others arms. Alice, trying to hide how moved he was to finally see the nightmare in their lives ending whispered,

What? Now my place is Hotel Pieszecki?.



..Jet-lag or the excitement of being there, finally with Tina in her arms woke Bette up at dawn. She opened her eyes only to find Tina looking at her, smiling.

Hey whispered Tina
Hey sighed Bette.

How are you feeling? Your hand?
Am fine, great you? Bettes hand moved to Tinas belly, smiling broadly.

Am ok, so far morning sickness leaves me some days free Joked Tina, placing her hand on Bettes, loving the feeling from that.

Bette, nodding moved her hand to place it on Tinas face. Caressing her face, the edge of her nose, her lips..

Bette, speechless again, didnt find the words to articulate, to voice all her feelings.

I know Bette, I know Tina knew, happy to be able to read Bettes eyes.

So, will you come home with me? Bette shyly asked, worried about the possible answer.

Tina nodded, smiling shyly, looking at Bette in the eyes just before kissing her slightly on the lips, caressing her face.

Opening her eyes now closed from Tinas kiss, Bette whispered,

Why didnt you go there while I was away? Bettes words didnt have to travel long as their faces were inches apart, getting lost in each others proximity.

Because that house is just a house if you are not there, I need you there for it to be home

This time it was Bette the one who, closing her eyes leaned to kiss Tina on the lips, a tender, long soft kiss that made Tina shiver with anticipation and desire.

They stayed like that, just kissing, holding hands, caressing each other for a while, just till Alice opened the door, hoping to find them sleeping.


Guys, ugg, guys find a room!…no better, gooo home!” Alice teased, trying to excuse herself as she needed clothes to change and go to work.

Tina and Bette giggled, looking at their friend getting some clothes from the closet.

Shes just jealous, its not like we have stolen her bed or something teased Bette, hoping to be heard by Alice.

Tina, nodding, leaned to give Bette a kiss and then jumping off the bed, patted Alices *****, whispering,

“How are you today? Any morning sickness?” Alice shaking her head, smile, loving seeing how happy Tina looked.

“Morning sickness?…You pregnant?” Bettes words jumped from her mouth as her body was jumping off the bed.

“Hey hey Porter! You nuts? How am going to be pregnant? (seeing the obvious look on Bettes face)ok,ok bad choice of words let me try again how the ***** would I be pregnant? (her voice bit louder)no pregnancy here just morning sickness thanks to that ***** half of yours she added, looking to the bathroom where Tina just entered.

“I dont understand said Bette, cleaning her sleepy eyes, looking confuse.

Sympathy sickness Bette answered Tina, coming from the bathroom, kissing Alice lightly on the cheek.

“You kidding me said Bette, still astonish.

Am not, she has been having them she is much better now Tina said, picking up some clothes, packing.

Bette sat down on the bed, looking at a nonchalant Alice getting in the bathroom, smiling, as Tina was packing. Seeing them both Bette realized, once again, what she almost lost, what her life could have been without Tina, with Alice, without the baby noticing Tina carrying her clothes she rushed to help her.

“Let me help you you know (she whispered) maybe we should make her the babys godmother”.
Tina smiling, nodded,

She is since the moment she offered, just when I told her about the pregnancy, to be there for me and the baby, to take care of usto support us if needed.

Bette looking at Tina, felt tears in her eyes, a shiver running through her body, for all the pain, all the doubts and the things that went wrong but too for all the great things that came from her mistakes.
