After the hair cut and a couple of meetings Regan heads to Radar. Shes in the parking lot and as she gets out of her car Alice is doing the same.

Where did you get that car?
Regan
I went to a car dealer ship and picked it out.
Alice
I doubt that.
Regan
Okay so I went to the dealership picked up a buyers guide and order form and picked it out.
Alice
I thought that. I really like your hair.
Regan

Alice

Regan
Yeah. I didnt know where I was going, Arianna took me. I was surprised.
Alice

I would have to agree. Come on everyone is already inside.

They walking in the pulsing radar. There are people everywhere.

When they get to the table Regan see a tall and very ***** woman with long dark hair. And then she looks over to see a familiar face. One from high school that she thought she wouldnt see again.

Marina brings chairs for Alice and Regan to sit in.

So you two went to high school together.
Tina
Yeah. We had a couple classes together.

Did you two know each other? Were you friends?
Madison
We knew each other but she was better friends with my sister.
Tina
How is she? After she got picked up she was really hard to get a hold of. We tried last summer but we kept missing each other. I havent talked to her in a while.
Regan
Shes good. Shes in Chicago. Really happy with what shes been writing..

Regan

Alice

Regan starts to leave but Alice pulls her back.

I read an article about her the other day. She said she was an only child.
Regan

She started her career in a time when image was important. Her label told her that having a openly ***** sister isnt gonna help her sell records. Even if openly ***** sister was in France.
Alice

Regan
Yeah.
Marina
Were you okay with that?
Regan
I wasnt okay with it but I did know where she was coming from. When I started playing pro ball they told me the same thing. Society was like that at the time. But know its different. Advertisers and companies realize that there are ***** dollars to be made. They want those dollars so they court people like me to sell their stuff.
Dana
I totally know were you are coming form.
Tina
Did it change your relationship with her?
Regan
A little. When she told me what they wanted her to do it hurt but it didnt mean that she didnt still love me. It was for her image not her. So I understood.
Shane
Did you hang out still?
Regan
Yeah. When the label signed her they sent her to France to record her first album, release it, and kinda get used to a certain celebrity. The molded her to be the way she is in public. Popstar Boot Camp I like to call it. I lived in the same city that she was gonna record her album so she lived with me. We had a really good time together. She was a little bit R&B and Im a little bit Rock and Roll. We butted heads but what siblings dont.
Alice
Didnt the label have issue with that?
Regan
Not there. They are very open with their sexuality there. Me being ***** wasnt an issue for them.
Marina
But werent you kinda famous?
Regan
Uh yeah. I was kinda popular. I went to Europe to play ball. I got drafted by one of the best teams in the league. They have a really big fan base. But the bad thing was that they have smaller uniforms over there. They were really tight and short. It was like vacuum sealed to my body. The fans really liked me over there.
Dana
When was the last time you talked to her?
Regan
Two weeks ago. She bought a house in Atlanta. She lives with her boyfriend. Very ***** contractor. Hes fixing up the house for her. I think hes the one. Hes got a nice *****.

Alice
So why did you come back to the states?
Regan
I missed it over here. Plus they started the league and I wanted to be a part of that.
Shane

Regan

Regan
I dunno. I guess Im tired of all the games. I just want to find the one and start my life. You know two story house, lots a cars, and many many maids.
Dana
That was cute.
Alice
Yeah.

Later that night. Marina in helping at the bar. Alice and Dana are dancing , and Shane is getting hit on. Which leaves Regan and Tina at the table. They are talking about Tina and her break up with Bette.

Regan
Damn. I dont think I can even be in the same room if she had done that to me. I dont know how you did it.
Tina
To be honest I dont know how I did it either.
Regan
Have you talked to her about it?
Tina
Yea. I had to know. Why? Ya know. It hurt. It still does.
Regan
I bet. So you moved in the same building as Alice. I bet thats fun.
Tina
Yeah she crazy . She makes me laugh a lot. I think it was just to keep my mind off Bette. Shes been a really good friend. They all have.
Regan
Do they still talk to Bette?
Tina
Not really. Its not like they dont try. She has secluded herself from everyone else. They all tried for days to get her to come hang out but she didnt want to. She wont even call her sister.
Regan
From what youve said that she seem to hold the world on her shoulders. Shes that strong one and doesnt want help from anyone. I was like that. But I soon found out that it was really lonely there.
Tina
What happened to you?
Regan
I became a work a holic. I was really obsessed with playing all the time. I didnt take time for my life. Then I got really sick. I have a cyst on my ovaries. I didnt tell anyone. I felt it was my punishment for working so much. I almost died but my friend Mona came by to see me and found me.
Tina
Oh my god. What did she say?
Regan
Lets just say that I will never again work more than I hangout with my friends. She made me realize that making money wasnt the only thing that made me happy. My friend and family love me for who I am not what I have. I got the picture really quick.
Tina
She seems like a great friend. Where was your sister?
Regan
In New York. I didnt talk to her much then. Her US debut was number one and I didnt want her to worry.
Tina
Where was Mona?
Regan
She was visiting and I just collapsed on the floor in my room. She came when she heard the thud. She got me help at the right time.
Tina
Where is she now?
Regan
Shes in New York. She is engaged and is planning her wedding. She gonna come in a month. See the sights. Live it up before she gets a ball and chain.
Tina

Dana and Alice walk to the table.

You bet me at running but I want to know if youre a better dancer than me lets go.
Regan

Regan
That sounded dirty. I like that. Lets go! Coming Alice?
Alice
No. She tuckered me out. You two pro athletes go get your grove on.
Dana grabbing Regan

Regan and Dana head to the dance floor.

So what were you talking about?
Tina
Life after high school. She has really done a lot but hasnt told anybody. She gives a percentage of her earnings away to charity and builds houses for under privileged children.
Alice
She seems to be really caring.


The two sit in silence for a while just watching how Regan and Dana dance together. They are close but not to intimate. They move and keep pace with each other very well. Tina looks at the two when Alice notices the way Tina looks at Regan. She was smiling. She looked like she wanted to go out and dance with Regan. She looking at her like she use to look at Bette.

Why are you looking at her like that?
Tina
Like what?
Alice

Tina
No I dont
Alice
You like her. Like her.
Tina
I do not.
Alice
Every time you look at her you start to smile.
Tina
I do not. You do it too.
Alice
I look but not like that. You want her.
Tina
I dont. But what if I do. Im single and can date whoever I want.
Alice
I never said anything was wrong with it. I just want you to be honest with yourself. Are you really ready to get into another relationship? With anyone. Especially a woman like her.
Tina
What do you mean woman like her.
Alice
I dont mean a bad thing but she has been doing this a lot longer than you have. She can juggle two or three women at the same time. I just dont want you to get hurt.
Tina
How do you know this?
Alice
I went by the LA offices to see if they had some more information on her. See whats shes all about. She had three different girlfriends at the same time and they didnt know about each other. And she told them that she didnt even feel bad about it. She just seemed like the loveem and leave type.
Tina
Shanes like that.
Alice
Yeah but she doesnt lead them along like they have a chance to be with her. Thats what she does. I just dont want you to invest too much into her and get your new heart broken.
Tina
Thanks. But I think I would know how to deal with that.

The two sit in silence thinking about the conversation they just had. Tina wonders of Regan is really like that. She was so nice in high school. Why would she do a thing like that? Dana and Regan come back to the table to sit with them. It getting late and everyone is tired.

Alice
Were heading out.
Regan
Yeah. I should go to. I have to go house hunting in the morning. And If I dont get any sleep and really grumpy Arianna is gonna kill me.
Dana
Is she like your mother?
Regan
Yeah. But its good. She gets me where I need to go. She worth the money I pay here.
Tina
Where are you looking for?
Regan
Small and intimate. Something that doesnt look like I spent a lot of time working on it. A place to lay my head.
Marina
That sounds very *****.
Dana
Yeah. If you need help picking out new furniture let me know I know some really great places.
Regan
Thanks. Drinks the rest of her water. Im out.
Tina

The group says their goodbyes and heads for home. Tina and Regan are walking to their cars.

Tina
So I think it would be really cool if you came to the center. We do a lot of really good work. Helping out all type of needy families
Regan
I would love to. Im sure anything you believe this strongly in is worth putting in some time. (Checking pants and jacket for something. Finds it in the inner pocket of her coat.) Here, my card. Its got all my numbers on it. Call me in a day or so and Ill check this place out.
Tina
Great. (Walks up to her car.) Well this is the end of the line for me.
Regan
Okay. It was really nice seeing you again.
Tina
Yeah. It really was. Ill call you in a couple days.
Regan backing away from the car.

Tina watches as Regan she leaves and wonder if this Regan is the same Regan from high school. She had liked that Regan. Nice to everyone and able to be comfortable in everything that she did. She was a natural charmer. And she had a awesome smile.
