Shane hearing what she had heard stopped dead in her tracks. That was the only sound that could stop her at that moment. She turned around to see a half-naked Dana hugging her knees to her chest. She didn’t know what to do. She thought back to when this happened to her. She didn’t want anyone to touch her. So Shane decided to sit down on the bed next to her and wait for Dana to make the first move. As soon as Shane was sitting on the bed Dana jumped into her arms wanting to be comforted and yet still sobbing.

Shane: Shhhhh. It’ll be okay. I’m not going anywhere and I’m not going to let anything happen to you.

Dana: Why did this happen to me? Did i deserve it? I brought it upon myself didn’t I?

Shane grabbed her by the shoulders forcing her to look Shane in the eye.

Shane: Don’t ever think that. No one deserves what happened to you tonight.

Dana was still sobbing in Shane’s arms. Shane didn’t know what else to do other then rock her back and forther and try to calm her down. Before she knew it Dana had fallen asleep. Shane Laid her down on the bed. The same bed that Jo had taken her innocence from her. ( I know she wasn’t a virgin but once you’re raped you don’t feel clean.) Shane laid down next to Dana putting a protective arm around her.

The next morning

Dana awoke with a start remembering what had happened the night before. The she realized that she had an arm around her. She elbowed Shane in the face without know it was her.

Shane: Owwww!

Dana: Shane? Omg. I’m sorry I jsut remember what happened last night and I thought you were Jo.

Shane: Hey its okay nothing broken. Speaking of that, I didn’t even ask you like night if you were hurt…Well, I mean physicaly.

Dana: I have a couple scratches on my arms and legs and my left wrist is all black and blue.

Shane: Can I see it?

Dana put her left wrist forward for SHane to examine.

Shane: Tell me if this hurts.

Shane moved her wrist very little to the right.

Dana: OWWWWWW!!!

Shane: I think its sprained. I should get you to the hospital.

In the car

Dana: What am I going to tell them, the doctors, our friends?

Shane: Well I think that you should tell the doctor the truth and as for our friends that is 100% up to you. If you don’t want to tell them then I will keep my mouth shut.

Dana: Thanx Shane.

They rode a while in silence. Both of them not knowing what to say to the other. Dana felt like she owed Shane her like and Shane felt like she was living her past all over again.

Shane: This happend to me you know. Before I met you guys, when I was working the strip, I was raped. It was my job to give people what they wanted for money but I would never sleep with them. That was something special that I saved for certain people. Then there was this one girl. Shane reached over and grabbed Dana’s hand.

At the Hospital

Dr. Reese: And what happened?

Dana looked over at Shane and SHane grabbed her free hand.

Shane: It’s okay baby you can tell him.

Dana: I was raped. I struggled to get away but I couldn’t.

Dr. Reese: Okay will you want to be reporting this?

Dana: No I’d rather not.

Dr. Reese: OKay that is your decision. You just have to sign a couple of papers and you and your girlfriend can be out of here soon.

Neither of them said anything but laughed when the doctor had left the room.

Dana: Well you know you did call me baby and you are still holding my hand.

Shane: I know but like I said before I had no one there for me so I want you to know that I’m here.

Dana: Thanx

Shane: by the way Alice called earlier while you were getting ready and asked if we wanted to meet up at the Planet. I told her we would. I don’t know if you want to tell them or not but it’ll be weird if you don’t show up.

Dana: Yeah lets go.

They left walking hand in hand.

At the Planet

Everyone was already there at the usual table when they arrived. Everyone stood to do the usual meet and greet, exceot for Dana that is she sank right down onto the couch. Tina noticed something was off. Shane sat next to Dana on the couch. After last night Shane felt very protective of Dana.

Everyone went on with there own side conversations.

Tina: Hey did you notice how close Shane and Dana are all or a sudden?

Bette: Yeah. Do you think they slept together?

Tina: No i think something else happened last night.

Alice: So Dana what’s with the brace?

This got everyones attension. Everyone noticed the brace but didn’t say anything.

Alice: Last time we saw you, you were leaving with Jo. I guess you guys had fun. She really bang you good?

Dana had tears in her eyes that only Shane noticed as soon as Alice had said Jo’s name. BY the end of Alice’s remark she was running to the bathroom before she started to sob infront of everyone.

Shane: Good going Alice.

Shane got up and walked towards the bathroom knowing that Dana needed her right now.

Alice: What did I do?

Tine: I told you something was up.
