Chapter 62

Bette woke up feeling like she’d been hit by a truck. She was so tired…sooooo tired. She looked over at Tina and had to smile. She was sleeping so peacefully. Bette leaned over and kissed her tenderly on the cheek, before leaving the bedroom. She went into the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror. As she looked at herself she though ‘EEEEEK – now that’s a face only a mother could love!’

It was a beautiful morning but Bette was sure that she’d enjoy it more – had she not felt as if she’d been hit by a semi. Her only saving grace was that she was tired and NOT hung over.”

As she made her way through the house, she noticed that there were naked bodies everywhere. She had to wonder if these women were ever going to go home – or if some of them had taken up permanent residence!
Bette reached the kitchen – where she ran into Jackie. “Hey there Sunshine! How are you feeling?”

Bette walked over to Jackie and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek.

“Good morning mom. I am so damn exhausted…what a night! But I’m ok. You?”

“I’m fine. I’m not surprised you’re exhausted…you and my little girl seemed to PARTY awfully hard yesterday and last night.” Jackie shot Bette a knowing wink!

“There’s no getting anything past you is there? Yes, I would say that we did PARTY rather hardy! I just can’t seem to keep my hands to myself!” Bette winked back at Jackie.

“No ***** Sunshine! That’s pretty obvious to anyone who has eyes!!! Everyone should have what the two of you do. Tina absolutely adores you – I don’t think a day goes by when she doesn’t tell me that.”

“Yeah – not a day goes by when she doesn’t tell me – or show me…I really love you’re baby girl – I don’t know what I’d do without her. And I hope I never have to find out………………… Hey where’s Jake?”

“Oh – he’s passed out by the pool…I think he partied a little too much yesterday too! You have got to go look at him – he’s so cute!”

Bette made her way out to the pool. There was Jake on a lounge chair – sound asleep – his head sticking out from under a beach towel. The rest of his body was covered – as if he were human. Bette walked over to him and gave him a gentle pat on the head. His eyes fluttered open. “Hey buddy – didn’t mean to wake you.” Jake just stared at Bette. “Ok little man – here’s the deal…see your Auntie Dana over there with your Auntie Alice? Well – it’s time to wake them up…you got it.” Jake let out a growl and a heavy sigh. He stood up – wagged his tail and STREEEEEEEEEEECHED his tired little body. He took a flying leap and landed on top of Dana. She woke with a start.

“Ok rodent – what the ***** are you doing?” Jake began licking Dana’s face – throwing in an occassional growl for extra measure. Bette walked up to the place where Jake was having his way with Dana.

“Hey Fairbanks! What’s up with you and my dog?”

“Your DOG almost drown last night Porter. I saved his life…”

“Likely story!”

“No really – he was at Amanda’s and decided to use the diving board and….”

Bette felt her anger flare! “Ok – Jake! How many times did we talk about the diving board? Hmmmmm? You know you aren’t supposed to go diving without me. Get your sorry little ***** into the house – NOW – go to your room before I kick your teeth out your ***** – but then again if I do kick your teeth out your ***** then you won’t feel like diving anymore.” Jake got up – his stumpy tail clamped to his ***** – and sheepishly walked ever so slowly into the house. He knew he was in BIG trouble now.

“Well Dana – thank you for saving him. Unfortunately – I may need to kill him today!’

“Any time Porter – you know – he is kind of cute – for a dog. And his personality reminds me of someone I know. He’s just like you!!!!!!”

“Gee thanks Dane! I really appreciate the comment!” Bette paused .” Do you think you could help clean up a bit. We have the house – out here by the pool and Amanda’s yard to do.”

“Yeah – ok – I’ll call in all of the reinforcements don’t worry – we’ll get it done.”

“Thank you – I need to go check on Tina!”


Tina was still sound asleep in their bed. She looked so cute. Bette climbed back into bed with her and just watched her face while she slept. It would be several moments before Tina would begin to stir.

“Hi Baby…” Tina managed to say both words before yawning!!!!

“Hey T…how’d you sleep?”

“Pretty good but not long enough.”

“Well, listen…..you can take a nap if you want – or just stay in bed longer.”

“I want to stay in bed longer. But under one condition – you have to stay with me!”

Bette smiled at Tina and said, “Yes – I’ll stay with you T…always…”

Tina looked into Bette’s eyes. “I want to do something with you – since we’re here in bed…”

Bette winked at Tina, “In the MOOD again Kennard?”

“Ah…yeah…you could say that!” Tina smiled at Bette. “But Baby…. this time there are some ground rules!”

“Ground rules?????? What the ***** are you talking about T…?”

“Well – I figure we can just…ah…well…you do you – I’ll do me.”

“How about I do you and you do me?” Bette waved her eyebrow up and down.

“Nope not this time Baby. YOU DO YOU. I DO ME!”


“Ok – I’ll bite!”

“Nope – no biting….as a matter of fact – no touching each other.”

“Are you serious – I have to keep my hands off of you? I don’t know if I can do that T.”

“Sure you can…last ground rule…we need to look into each others eyes the entire time…”

“OOOH *****!” Bette smiled at Tina.

“You ready Baby?” Tina had already stripped off her clothes. Bette followed suit.

They lay down on the bed on their sides – face to face. Bette instinctively moved her hands to Tina’s belly.

“No Bette …. remember…no touching!”

“Oh yeah…yeah …no touching…and exactly WHY are we doing this again?”

Both Bette and Tina moved their hands down their bodies.
