Nylans House

Tina Nylan whispered shaking her trying to wake her up. Tina moved slightly and moaned, she slowly opened her eyes staring at Nylan in shock. Nylan cocked an eyebrow at Tinas expression as she threw off her jacket Tina sat up smiling.

It was a dreamTina whispered to herself.

What Nylan asked thinking Tina was still a little drunk.

Nothing she shook her head noticing her headache was gone. Nylan sat on the edge of the bed; she was preparing herself for what Tina might say to Bette coming to talk to her.

Tina, she began, I uh Tina stopped her sentence.

Its okay we were drunk and it got out of handin fact I dont remember us having ***** she stated as Nylans brows touched yeah shes gotta be drunk.

Tina we didnt have sexthank god Tina was suprised the last thing she remembered was them leaving the club and then she woke up this morning in Nylans bed. She laughed at herself before continuing, Well then what were you going to say. Nylan stood up pacing back and forth moving her fingers about in a frenzied motion trying to find the right words.

I seen Bette this morning and Tina rolled her eyes at the mention of Bettes name, I told she could come over and talk to you Nylan blurted the last part out as she turned and peeked at Tina waiting for her reaction. Tina threw a pillow hitting Nylan bullseye.

I dont want to see her right now dammit the volume of Tinas voice caused Nylan to jump.

Okay soIm just gonna take a shower and give you some time to think about it and then Ill call her and let her know if she can come Nylan said knowing full well Bette was on her way.



Thirty Minutes Later

Tina heard the knock wondering whom it could be. She yelled to Nylan letting her know someone was at the door. Nylan poked her head around the bathroom door.

Its Shane could you it for me Tina got up lazily making her way towards the door. She turned the ***** without looking through the peephole.

Hey ShaBettewhat are youNylan you little ***** Tina said looking up the steps. Bette watched her with confusion.

Can I come in please Bette asked. Tina stepped to the side directing her towards the patio.


Upstairs

Nylan emerged from the shower smiling gotcha. She thought about Ambrosia and then Tina popped into her head, Nylan cared for Tina but she knew she wasnt ready to give her heart to anyone right now. Nylan walked into her closet grabbing a t-shirt, some jeans, a pair of sneakers, and a jacket. She walked back into the bedroom and stopped at her dresser to put on some perfume, she came across a watch. Nylan looked at it turning it over in her hand reading the inscription To Lara with Love; she pocketed the watch along with her cell phone and made her way downstairs. She looked out onto the patio staring a Bette and Tina it warmed her heart but it also broke it, she could never have Tina her heart belonged to Bette.


The Patio

They had sat in silence with Bette stealing glances at Tina. Tina played with her fingers angry with Nylan for setting her up but yet she was a little happy to see Bette, she missed her.

Tina I think we need counseling because I want us to work this out but I think we should remain separated for a whileI mean I dont want to pressure you Tina looked at Bette surprised at her words but she agreed.

I think youre right Bette they smiled at each other for the first time in days. They were making progress and it made both of them happy.

Can I take you out to dinner Bette asked unsure of what Tina would say.
