Tinas head snapped up in concern at the sound of her daughter shrieking as she ran through the house, but after seeing what she was running from Tina couldnt help but join in the laughter. Alice was chasing her around threatening to cover her in wrapping paper and tie her with a bow. It was one week before Christmas and the holidays were in full swing. Alice and Dana had taken Liz to get a Christmas tree and Shane joined them in helping Liz decorate it, something Tina thought she would never see Shane doing. Bette had said that Liz brought out some sort of hidden inner child in Shane and shes finally getting to redo all the things she missed as a child. Either way, both Tina and Bette were very impressed by Shanes caring ways when it came to Liz.

Mommy mommy HELP!!

Liz ran to Bette with her arms outstretched begging to be saved from the evil wrapping paper monster. Bette laughed and pretended to pick up Liz to save her but at the last minute she turned on her daughter and held her out for Alice to attack. Liz laughed her little heart out as Alice pretended to wrap her in the leftover paper and put a bow on her head. Bette put her down and Liz ran over to Tina who laughed as she unwrapped her gift. Bette just grinned at Tina and Liz as she helped Dana finish wrapping some gifts. Al and Dana had agreed to take Liz shopping for a little while so that Bette and Tina could hide her gifts and figure out what they were going to do if she found them. Dana glanced at her watch and called out to Alice.

Honey I think we need to get going. The mall is going to close in two hours.

Everyone laughed as Liz ran to her room to get her purse, another gift from Alice that reaffirmed how girlie Liz was going to turn out to be despite Shane and Danas attempt to make her a little more rugged and a little less prissy. She reappeared with her purse and soon the three of them headed out. Tina and Bette smiled to one another as they finished wrapping a few gifts and when they were done Bette helped Tina carry the gifts to the hallway closet to hide. As they were putting them away Tina brought up a question.

Bette grinned as Tina managed to make the last gift fit in the closet and she shut the door then turned to take Tina into her arms. Tina wrapped her arms around Bettes neck and gave her a small kiss on the lips before pulling back and smiling up at her.

Tina frowned slightly at Bette as she took her hand and led her back to the living room. She looked around at how decorative the living room was and her heart melted at the fact that Bette was trying to give Liz everything she never had. Tina looked at the tree and the three stockings hanging on the mantle and she couldnt help but smile.

Well for someone who never had this as a kid you sure went all out you know.

I knowbut it always seemed like so much funand I always told myself that if I had a family this is exactly how I would do it.

Bette looked hurt at Tinas teasing and Tina just laughed as she curled up next to Bette on the couch. She could see the happiness in Bettes eyes and how much she really wanted Liz to enjoy this Christmas. It didnt help that she also went out and spent and inordinate amount of money on their daughter, but Tina knew there was no arguing with Bette on that issue. Bette put an arm around Tina and Tina immediately settled into Bettes lap.

Just think Tif we have a big family this could be a tradition.

Tina heard the disappointment in Bettes voice but she shrugged it off without another thought. After they talked about having another child and deciding to do it, that was about as far as they went. Bette didnt push Tina on doing another insemination and Tina never brought it up hoping that Bette would be patient with her. They just sat there absorbed in their own thoughts for a while and before they knew it Alice and Dana were back with Liz and soon everyone was in bed fast asleep.

Christmas eve came faster than either Bette or Tina expected and as soon as they brought Liz home from day care she had been bouncing around the house all night in anticipation for tomorrow. Bette could hardly contain herself as well and Tina had to tell her more than once to wait before giving Liz any of the gifts. The gang was coming over for Christmas dinner and Tina had a lot of cooking to do so she kicked Bette and Liz outside so she could work in peace.

At seven thirty on the dot Kit, Ivan, Dana and Shane appeared at the door gifts in hand and ready to party. Tina and Bette ushered them in and soon everyone was eating and having a great time. Liz was more hyper than normal and she could barely get two bites of food down before Tina gave up and just let her run around even though she hadnt eaten anything. Tina smiled as she watched Kit and Ivan tell Liz a Christmas story and she noticed that Dana was sitting alone. She went over to her and sat down.

As if on cue the doorbell rang again and Bette jumped up quickly to answer it. Tina watched her with a curious look on her face and when she saw who it was she nearly doubled over in laughter.

Liz ran over to the door and when she saw who it was she stopped dead in her tracks. Both Bette and Tina waited to see how she would react but after a few seconds she started jumping up and down happily and pulled the person inside. Dana, Kit and Ivan looked up to see who it was and when they did they all were rolling on the floor in laughter as well. Alice had agreed after some begging by Bette to dress up as Santa for Liz and she had gone the whole nine yards. Alice had on a bright red and white Santa suit complete with oversized black belt and a large gold buckle. She had stuffed the suit with who knows what to give her a nice round potbelly and her blonde hair was tucked under a white wig complete with red hat and thick white beard. After they talked about it they decided it would be okay to tell Liz about Santa so they told her the story and how he brought gifts to children all over the world and how if she was good, he would visit her too.

Everyone was doing their best to contain their laughter for Lizs sake who was completely entertained by Santa and Tina made room for Alice to sit down and as soon as she did Liz nearly jumped into her lap. Alice had a bag of goodies with her and she held it up for Liz to see before speaking to her.

Liz looked at Bette and Tina for approval and after they nodded at her she turned back to Santa and beamed.

Alice proceeded to bring out gift after gift for Liz who was thoroughly enjoying her visit from Santa and Dana, Kit and Ivan watched on with big smiles on their faces. Alice, I mean Santa, had also remembered the other girls and she produced gifts for everyone in the room. Most of them were silly or gag gifts and for the most part everyone knew that Alice had done her best to make it a lighthearted evening, but before Bette got her gift Alice waited a second before continuing.

Alice just smiled at Bette through the beard and looked over at Tina who smiled and nodded.

Bette looked back and forth between Alice and Tina with a puzzled look on her face. Tina winked at her and told her to go check her stocking. Bette looked puzzled as she made her way over to the mantle and removed two small boxes. One was square shaped and the other was a thin rectangle. Bette looked at Tina with a big question mark on her face and Tina told her to open the square on first. Bette obliged and she pulled out an empty picture frame, which made absolutely no sense to her. There was a card on the bottom of the box and when she read it she was speechless. She tore open the other box and after seeing its contents she felt tears well up in her eyes at what she saw. She walked over to Tina and wrapped her arms around her giving her one of the biggest kisses Tina had ever received from Bette, especially in front of their friends. Dana was confused so she went over and peered at the card to see if it made sense. When she saw what was in the other box she had a big smile on her face and she went over to congratulate Tina as well. Kit picked up the card which read, This is for our new family photo. And after showing Ivan she looked at the positive pregnancy test in the other box and felt her heart swell. She was so proud of Bette and Tina and now they were going to have another baby, which only made their family that much more special. Bette held Tina in her arms and looked at her lovingly.

Liz had once again wedged herself between Bette and Tina and was begging to be picked up to join the fun. Tina bent down and picked her up and the three of them shared a big hug and kiss before Liz started giggling and wanted to be put down again. As she ran off to play with Santa and the others Bette and Tina looked at each other and smiled. Bette had been a little unsure about the last insemination they did and after Tina never said another word about it she assumed the result was negative. But her dreams were becoming a reality and Bette Porter had never been happier. She had a loving wifea beautiful daughterand another on the waywhat more could she want? After all, her Christmas wish did come true.
