Gone ashtray
Dana was startled: what was that just all about ? What had gotten into Alice ? She closed the door and headed back to the bedroom. Tonya started kissing her on the neck and pushed her on the bed while taking her own clothes and Danas off.
Tonya : Now, let me show to my wife to be how much I love her.
Dana was taken aback. She didnt feel like having ***** right now, the memories of the kiss she had shared with Alice kept coming back. But Tonya, too focused on kissing her, her hands roaming over Danas body, didnt notice Danas lack of reaction. Dana tried to concentrate on Tonya and forget about Alice but she couldnt. She could still feel Alices soft lips on hers, and she lost herself in the sensation, until Tonya, with her loud grunts and her not so gentle ministrations brought her back to reality. A rather disappointing reality Dana thought. Tonyas hands were cold, and her lips rough, unable to make passion rise in Danas body. Her body moved like an automaton. And even when she came, giving in to Tonyas obstination, her thoughts werent focused on the woman lying next to her.
When Alice realised what Tina was trying to tell her by writing on the board, all she could do was take her in her arms and let her cry. Tinas despair and sadness made every thought of her short visit to Dana vanish. It couldnt be possible, how could Bette have done such a thing to Tina ? she thought.
After some time, the sobs started to space out. She led Tina to her bed, laying down with her, placing Tinas head on her chest. She gently stroke her hair, whispering : Shhhhhh, as if she were holding a little baby in her arms. But Tina was fragile in this moment, like an innocent child. Both soon fell asleep, the events of the day getting the better of them.
Shane entered the club. She had spent the first part of the night alone, in her truck, trying to process what had happened at the CAC, replaying ndlessly the conversation she had had with Cherie in her head. But now she had to forget all of this, move on, though she doubted shed be able to forget about Cherie as fast and soon as she wished.
She walked straight to the bar, ordered a shot of Vodka and leaned against the frame, turning slightly so that she could see the women dancing. She let her gaze wander, glancing at the hot bodies moving to the rhythm of the music. She noticed various women staring at her, checking her out and desperately trying to catch her attention. She smiled inwardly and whispered to herself : Its good to be back. She felt a slight chill, a warm feeling of recognition, feeling safe again in this world she new. She was familiar with the rules of this game, which hadnt been the case with Cherie. She had lost all reference points the moment she had sarted to let herself feel something for this woman.
She made eye contact with one of the women, a latino one who could have been a model, silently deciding that this one would be her conquest tonight. Their eyes were locked, the woman promising Shane a night of oblivion. Exactly what I need she thought. But suddenly, she lost eye contact. The woman was now staring at something behind Shane, obiously captivated by whoever had just entered the club. Shane turned around, wanting to know who was the source of this hitch. She saw a shadow, black hair, slim, the skin shimmering in the light like silk, about her height. She had small ***** and slim hips. The light suddenly turned to pink and Shane was able to see her features. She had full lips, her cheeks were high and her eyebrows underlined the sparkle in her eyes. She was young, younger than the customers in the club. Shane saw that the new stranger was well aware of the sudden attention. A slight smile was on her lips, she new she only had to look at one of the women to find somebody for the night.
It seemed that the latino woman had completely forgotten about Shane now, captivated by the new customer, which put Shane slightly off balance. She was used to be the center of attention Great she thought, now Im beaten by a kid, what the ***** is going on ?. She turned around and downed the shot of Vodka.
What are you doing tonight ? a voice asked her from behind. Shane smiled with relief, a mischivieous grin creeping on her lips, figuring that the voice belonged to the latino woman.
Nothing specific, but …She turned and came face to face with the girl, green eyes with shades of orange looking into her eyes, filled with seduction and desire. She was slightly taken aback and didnt finish her sentence.
I just got into town, I have this new place Im moving in, maybe you would want to check it out with me and we could she brought her hand up and let her fingers brush against Shanes right arm inaugurate it.
Shane let a slight laugh out. This girl, or should she say teenager was shamelessly hitting on her. Um, I dont think this is a good idea, youre a little young to me. How old are you, anyway ? She had meant it to be clear, so that the girl would give up. But she didnt, the girl just smiled, an indulgent smile, as if she were talking to a fool. She leaned closer to Shane, pressing her body against hers, whispering into her ear : Im 18 and tonight, Ill be the best one night stand youve ever had. The girls confidence confused Shane, so did the closeness of their bodies, and Shane was well aware of the heat emanating between them. When the girls lips brushed against her ear and then kissed her neck she gave in to the sensation. As if on cue, the girl backed away, taking Shanes hand and leading her out of the club, several disappointed and jealous glances following them.
Jenny sat there, staring in the dark, thinking of what she was going to do. Robin and Gene were both sleeping, one in the armchair and the other on the bed. She was sitting cross legged on the floor, her arms hugging her in a desperate act to feel safe. She wanted to protect herself, protect herself from the words on her answering machine. Marinas words. Confesing her love. Marina had destroyed everything she had once believed in. She had taken her world away from her. She had pushed her in a world she wasnt familiar with and then left her there, alone, in the dark, trying to pick up the pieces of her shattered life.
And now this. Why couldnt Marina leave her alone ? Wasnt she satisfied of being in all of Jennys dreams ? Did she have to destroy the new life Jenny had had a glimpse of also ? She looked at Robin and Gene. They had helped her find a new start. She had used them in order to get back on track. But she didnt feel anything for them. Her heart was cold, emotionless, since Marina had broken it.
She stood up, left and started to walk down the street. Sha had no idea where she was going to, she just new that she was walking. Her feet quickened the pace and she soon found herself running, at 2 Oclock in the morning, on a street in LA.
When she stopped, her heart beating like wild in her chest, she noticed she was in front of the Planet. So this was were her journey run had been taking her. She felt drawn towards the doors, as if they ware calling out her name, telling her to move closer. The next thing she new, her hand was pushing the door, and she was stepping in. Why wasnt the door closed ? There was no light in the Caf, no noise and a cold chill ran down her spine. What was she doing here ? But there was light shimmering under the door of Marinas office. She moved closer to the light, careful not to break the silence because it was somehow a source of inner peace. She pushed the door open but in midway the door seemed to be blocked. Jenny caught a glance of the room and saw what prevented her from fully opening the door : Marinas body, lying on the floor.
