“Hello hello…*****…no you can’t do that…hello” Nylan screamed but it was a lost cause because her signal had faded. She looked down at the phone, “*****”she slammed the phone shut and was momentarily distracted by the groans coming from a stall on the far end. Never being one to rain on someone’s parade,Nylan ignored the sound and walked out thinking about her phone call.

Bette grabbed Tina’s face and kissed her passionately as she came muffling her moans with the blonde’s lips. Tina backed away from Bette’s kiss and as Bette was about to speak, Tina put her fingers over her lips.

“Bye Bette” Bette’s eyes filled with tears as Tina walked out of the stall. Tina walked straight out the door wiping away her stray tears.

Nylan stood leaning against the wall thinking about how fucked up things were right at this moment and they became worse when she saw Ambrosia walk towards her.

“Hi” Nylan rolled her eyes at the brunette not wanting her company.

“What do want” Nylan asked angrily.

“Well since…you’re asking…” Ambrosia leaned forward to breathe in Nylan’s sweet scent.

“That’s not happening…I won’t do that to Tina or Shane” she said as she pushed Ambrosia out of her personal space. Ambrosia shot Nylan a nasty look.

“You seem a little tense…I guess you’re secret phone call didn’t go very well” Ambrosia asked and Nylan turned around and pushed her roughly against the wall.

“How the ***** do you know about that” Nylan whispered not wanting anyone to hear their conversation. She backed away and straightened her exterior.

“I did a little research…you’re on secretive person Nylan…how would Tina feel about…Natalie or…” Nylan couldn’t believe her ears as Ambrosia spoke but she knew she couldn’t let Tina find out about this before she had a chance to explain.

“Shut up” Nylan clenched her teeth as she spoke.

“There’s only one way to shut me up” Ambrosia purred.


Elsewhere in CAC

“Hey Porter” Alice called from behind Bette. Bette turned around and hugged Alice, she could tell something was wrong, “What’s wrong” Alice asked concerned.

“Nothing” Bette lied and she smiled, “Hey where’s Dana” Alice pointed in the opposite direction to Dana who was standing near the buffet.

“She’s had quite an appetite and if I didn’t know any better I’d say she was high” she said staring at Dana strangely and Bette laughed.

“Hey what’d you do get dressed in the dark” Dana laughed at her comment to the passing woman as she swallowed the whole glass of champagne, “Here eat something Mary Kate…or is it Ashley with an eating disorder…who cares TAKE THIS” she screamed, shoving her plate in the woman’s hands. Lara had never seen Dana like this before and it shocked her but she couldn’t help but to laugh.

“I could see her ribs for god’s sake” Dana said to Shane unaware the woman was still standing next to her.

“Dana she’s right beside you” Shane said leaning over to whisper into Dana’s ear. Dana turned and looked at the woman disappointed at the sight of her.

“Hey don’t just stand there holding that plate like it’s a prop…take a bite…food is NOT evil and whatever you don’t eat pass to my friend here” Dana pointed to Shane before walking away.

Nylan thought about Ambrosia’s proposal unaware of Tina, who was walking towards her.

“Hey where were you” Tina said snapping her fingers in front of Nylan’s face.

“The question is where were you” Nylan said recovering quickly and Tina stood speechless. Nylan covered Tina’s silence with her lips, easing her tongue in slowly.

“What was that for” Tina asked after Nylan pulled away.

“It was for looking so damn ***** in that dress” she pulled Tina closer, “I wanna take you home right now and…”.

“If we keep that up…we’ll be walking funny for the next month” Tina joked sliding her hands down Nylan’s collarbone over her ***** that looked perfect in the white crisp shirt with a gray tight fitting vest on the outside and matching trousers as she moved down to her waistline taking in the sight of her lover. Nylan’s attention was elsewhere and when Tina turned around to see what she was looking at she could see Bette in Nylan’s eyeline.

“I’ll be right back” and before Tina could grab Nylan’s arm, she was gone.

“Hey Bette…can I talk to you for a minute” Nylan asked and Bette watched her cautiously, “Look I don’t want to keep arguing with you about Tina…I know its hard for you to see me and her together but Bette I really love her and she loves me”.

“Nylan I…”

“Let me finish…please…I respect you and I’m not trying to tell you what do but I think you and Tina should try and be friends atleast and I want us…to be friends again too…life’s too short Bette” Nylan pleaded as she put out her hand to offer peace. Bette accepted and Nylan pulled her into a hug. She never seen the tear running down Bette’s face.

“Aww” Shane, Alice, and Dana said as they moved in for a group hug. Tina, Lara and Ambrosia stood watching.

“You got any weed” Dana whispered into Nylan’s ear. Nylan stared at Dana wide eyed unable to respond out of utter shock. The crowd broke apart and the everyone returned to their partners.

“This is a nice exhibit you have here Bette” the voice said from behind and Bette turned around.

“Hi Yolanda” she said noticing Candace standing beside her.

“Hello Tina…still drinking your coffee black I see” Yolanda said eyeing Nylan who’s brows were touching in confusion.

“And you are” Nylan asked.

“Yolanda…like you’d care” she said the last part low but loud enough for it to be heard.

“Excuse me” Nylan shot back and Bette raised her hand to stop the bantering.

“Its okay…Yolanda look if you wanna say something you can say it but now is not the time” Bette said calmly.

“Look Yolanda let’s just go” Candace pleaded with her and Yolanda agreed walking away but not before rolling her eyes at Bette in disgust.

“Hey hey before you go let me ask you something” Dana said stopping Yolanda, “You got any weed” she whispered. Yolanda looked at her as if she were insane before completely disappearing.

“Tonight has been very eventful and I have a long morning ahead of me so I think we’re gonna go” Nylan said squeezing Tina’s hand.

“Yeah” everyone agreed.

“Hey Al…can you give us a ride” Shane asked.

“Sure” Alice agreed, “See ya tommorow morning Bette…great show” she said and they waved goodbye before leaving.

“See you later Bette” Nylan said hugging her close and noticing the piece of art behind her for the first time, “Licentious” she whispered.

“You’ve seen this piece before” Bette asked.

“Yeah” she said not wanting to get into the discussion.

“Do you happen to know the name of the artist because we couldn’t get anything on the person” Bette inquired.

“No I don’t know much about it” she lied, “Well we’re going to go”.

“Goodbye Bette” Tina said and Bette felt that it really was goodbye, she’d lost Tina…for good.
