While Shane was leaving Milk with Candace, hand in hand things were heating up poolside between Bette and Tina.

Bette now unclothed stood above Tina and cherished this moment. The moment she thought would elude her forever. For the first time since her attack she sought to be close to Tina. Bette needed to be with her. She felt a resolve, a passion she hadnt felt in a long time. Bette slowly descended upon Tina.

She slowly, deeply kissed her taking in each moment, savoring it as if it would be the last time” grateful that it would be the first of many times to come. As Bette parked her car she notice Shane and Candace outside of Lather having a moment. She couldnt believe her eyes-What is this about? She parked her car and approached the unlikely pair.

Shane had her arm around Candaces waist and her back was to Bette as she turned and saw Bette she struggled to find her voice.

Shane: Bette whawhat are you doing here?
Bette: I came by to see my friend but evidently she isnt here because Shane, my Shane, wouldnt be so cozy with the woman who almost wrecked my life. What is this?
Candace: Hi Bette. How are you and the misses? She asked while grabbing at Shanes ***** obviously trying to get a response from her.
Shane: Oh Bette look I can explain. I know this doesnt look good, but there is an explanation that willShane noticed that Bette was becoming more and more upset just at the sight of THESE two being together.
Bette: I dont know what explanation you could possibly offer for this. Shane you know, you of ALL people know the grief I endured. Why would you hook up with Candace? You could have anyone you want, why Candace?
Shanes mind was spiraling now she could see the disappointment and pain on Bettes face. She never wanted to cause her pain”never. But the one resounding fact to consider was Thats not true”I cant have ANYONE I want. Before she could realize what she was saying, Bette I cant have anyone I want, I could never have you?
Bettes expression of disappointment turned to a look of shock. WHAT??? Bettes mind started to remind her of the signs the embrace in the hospital that felt too intimate; Shane took my infidelity too personally; but have I been inappropriate opening up to Shane, calling Shane when I was in trouble”is this my fault? Bette was stunned she had no idea, Tinas warning now ringing in her ears Be careful there. Tina new, how did I miss it?

Candace stood there with her mouth open at Shanes admission she couldnt believe it. She saw this was really upsetting Bette and wondered if they could get past such an obstacle. It was just last night that I realized Shane must have it pretty bad for Bette because she left me high and dry not finishing the deed. She began to explain why she couldnt hook up with me. According to Shane my only appeal is the exact reason she couldnt go through with it. In other words she only wanted to be with me because Bette had been with me. She knew that wasnt right so she left before anything too serious happened. The only reason Im here now is to get her to reconsider. Her kiss alone has me going crazy. Shane stood there noticing Bettes shock, and now apprehension decided she needed to leave. She had said much too much. The burden was lifted but now things were weird and she just wished she could take it all back from the first inappropriate thought to her encounter with Candace last night. Shane hopped in her truck so fast Bette was still standing stunned, not knowing what to say, and Candace trying to read Bettes expression, were literally left in the dust.
