Tina was peacefully sleeping while Bette, seated on a chair was holding Jamie, unable to stop not only watching but touching the babies.

She looked at Tina and an even a bigger smile appeared on her face. Watching her and looking at the babies Bette thought how amazing it was that just a few hours earlier those babies were inside of her. How brave she was.
Bette felt tears in her eyes thinking about how generous Tina was. She just gave her the most precious gift, she gave her a family.

Tears were quietly running down Bette cheecks when she heard the door opening slowly.

Arching an eyebrow she tried to stand but feeling the baby lightly moving in her arms she stopped, fearing not to be able to hold it properly. Who could it be? All the girls have gone home, it was almost midnight and Dr Wilson came for the last visit of the day a few hours ago.

The door fell widely open letting a wheelchair come in. Alices big smile was the first thing Bette saw. Moving a finger to her lips to command silence from Alice, Bette nodded, smiling. Moving the wheelchair closer to the cribs, Alice whispered,

Couldnt sleep, they dont give enough drugs in this hospital. Seeing Jamie on Bettes arms she asked,

Is that mine? she said, leaning on the baby.

“What you mine yours? asked Bette, her eyebrow touching the ceiling, her voice not as soft as one could expected.

She is, Jamie said Bette nodding, her face softening.

Jamie, it suits her… Can I?” asked Alice, begging with her eyes, extending her arms to Bette.

It took Bette almost a minute to nod, placing the baby on Alices arms.She looked at how she was holding the baby and moving her hand Bette put the pink blanket over the babys little foot that was freely hanging over Alices arm.

Uh, yeah, Thanks whispered Alice, totally lost staring at the girl.

Bette, sighed, feeling her body full of something that she only imagined was true happiness. Standing up she moved to the other crib and carefully, very carefully she clumsily took Jules up. Walking in turtle speed she moved back to her chair, holding the boy tight.

They spent the next five minutes quietly watching the babies, drooling over every little move they made.

Alice, finally finding the courage to take the girls tiny hand in between her fingers, looked up at Bette and whispering, not to wake Tina, said,

So, did Tee, meet Little Tina?

Bette looked up to Alice, and after a second she looked at Tina, who was still peacefully sleeping.

Yeah she said, nodding.

And?…is she as cute as she looked like? Alice asked, looking back at Jamie who was tighting her hand around Alices finger, melting her heart with the gesture.

What you mean? How do you know she is cute? Asked Bette, her voice tone a bit louder.

Noticing the change in Bettes voice, Alice looked up, and then, looking from Tina to Bette, realizing what she just said, added;

I..I she mumbled, speechless for the first time.

well? asked Bette, holding Jules tight.

I I.. Helen showed me some pictures Alice whispered, trying to find an exit, looking back at the baby.

What you mean she showed you some pictures? Bettes voice was becoming more agitated, making Jules to start crying lightly.

Uh, uh Bette said, forgetting about Alice, looking hopeless at her son.



Hey said Tina, surprising Alice and Bette.

Hey sighed Bette, happy to see she was awake, offering her the crying baby.

Hey baby Tina whispered, tenderly taking Jules in her arms are you hungry? she asked as if the baby was the only thing in the world.

Hearing Alice giggling, Tina looked up, seeing her friend for the first time.

Al! she said, smiling broadly.

Hey Tee, how are you doing? Alice said, moving the wheelchair closer to the bed, worrying Bette because she was still carrying Jamie.

Noticing Bettes panic face, Tina smiled, nodding at Alice, cradling Jules in her arms.

Am great, you?… And me thinking that you were so cute, sympathy labour pains Tina teased, making Alice to roll her eyes, softening Bettes face.

Yeah chuckled Alice.

Jamies sounds made every one to look at her, making Alice nervous.

What? What she want? She asked, seeing the baby moving her arms, not sure how to hold her anymore.

Is ok Al, they are probably hungry said Tina with the sweetes voice, looking at Jamie.

You think? Asked Alice, still worried.

Yeah..I guess said Tina, looking at Bette, who was checking the time.

Yeah, its more or less when the nurse said they would ask for it Bette said, nodding.


Wow said Alice, much more relax seeing Jamie peacefully sleeping again.

Now what? She added, looking up at Tina who was still cradling a sobbing Jules.

Now we feed them, Al! said Bette, sitting on Tinas bed.

Cool Alice said, smiling.

How? She added, looking around.

Well, unless you have one of this you wont said Tina, unbuttoning her pjs.

What?” said Alice, unable to move her eyes from what Tina was doing hey you not going to WOW she yelled, seeing Tinas breast for the first time.

Holy *****!!… God!! Alice said, blushing.


Bette and Tina chuckled at Alices embarrashment. Then, as if what Alice just watched was not enough, Tina took the baby properly and handily she put him to her breast.Not taking the nipple the first time, Jules moved her head, blindly.
Shyly smiling, Tina looked up to her audience and then, nodding, whispering sweet words to the baby, she took her breast trying to help the baby get the nipple. After a few tries the baby finally got it and the three women sighed in unison, without knowing they have been keeping their breath.

Alice, unable to move her eyes from what Tina was doing was feeling her mouth hang open.

Bette, smiling at Tina was was now cradling a not so peacefully Jamie in her arms, unable to move her eyes from Juless feeding.


WOW said Alice again, feeling her stomach tighting while tears were camping in her eyes.

Feeling the baby sucking, Tina looked up at Alice. Noticing how moved she was, Tina smiled.


Bette, watching the scene shook her head, remembering what Alice was just telling her.

Tina, noticing Bette frowning, said,

So Al, when will you go home?

“Uh?” Alice said, needing a second to move her eyes from Tinas breast to her face.

Al! is not like you havent seen Tinas breast before?” Said Bette, her voice showing some sort of annoyance.

Hey Said Tina, looking up at Bette as she was cleaning Juless chin.

Bette, is not Tinas ***** is the fact that somebody is sucking her nipple and that somebody is not you Alice said, back in her true self, proudly smiling, noticing the look on Bettes, realizing that Tina was trying to hide a smile on her face.

“He is eating Bette said a few seconds later, her face softening once she moved her eyes from Alice to baby Jules.

Uhh Tina mumbled, getting Alice and Bettes attention.

What? They asked at the same time.

Nah, nothing Tina said, shaking her head, caressing the babys cheeck.

Ok guys, am going to go back to my cell, dont wanna miss Nurse Gorgerous promised visit

Noticing how Tina was rising her eyebrow, Alice added,

Being on a diet doesnt mean I cant look at deserts.

Winking at Tina, she was trying to move her wheelchair when Bette added,

From what Ive heard it wasnt exactly dieting what you were doing with Dana this morning

Tina, smiling, rose her hand commanding peace,

Guys,there are infants here, so if you dont mind

Looking up, Bette smiled at Tina while Alice, drove her chair to the door, whispering,

Uh, uh, we have a mother superior kind of mom! This is gonna be fun Bette, could you help me with the door? She finished, looking at Bette.


Bette, standing up, placed Jamie on her crib and then, after checking on Tina, lost in feeding Jules, whispered to Alice while opening the door to her,

We will finish about Helen and her daughter at another time

Gulping, turning to look at Tina, Alice said,

Bye Tee, see you tomorrow ok nice ***** by the way…

With that, she drove away, leaving Bette with her mouth open, wanting to add something else.

Closing the door after her, Bette walked back to Tinas bed.


Does it hurt? She asked, sitting on the chair at her side.

Nah, is strange thou Tina said, shyly smiling.

Why? Asked Bette, leaning, wanting to be close to Tina, feeling jealous.

I dont know Tina started, Alice was right, is strange having somebody you know she said, nodding, looking at Jules being feed.

What asked Bette, standing up, sitting on Tinas bed.
