    Gone Ashtray XXIV

Im surprisingly back, the wonders of the digital age ! This is the big Finale, only part one though (its very short), part two is soon going to follow (Im thinking of tomorrow). Im already thinking about a sequel, Ill even be able to send it regularly. But let me know what you thought of this part and if you want it to go on or not.

Oh God ! Cant you understand that Im trying to forget her ? I could use a little help with that ! And not you sending me people who will remind me of her ! Alice cursed inwardly.
Lara looked up, grimacing, obviously as happy as Alice to meet her. She quickly looked back down, muttering an excuse and pushing past Alice.
But Alice grabbed her arm, forcing Lara to turn. There was something wrong in Laras behaviour and only then did she notice the flood of tears runnig down Laras face.
Alice sighed heavily, realising she was about to offer to help Lara out, the woman who had taken Dana away from her, and would probably spend the night listening to her problems, when she had the amazing chance of being with Dana she shouted in her mind. But judging from Laras state it had to be a serious matter. So she grabbed Lara by the shoulders, waving her attempts to break free away and led her to her place.
They walked in silence, Alice didnt want to ask questions now, afraid she might scare Lara away and Lara seemed to be completely numb, not realising she was walking, letting Alice lead her without any resistance.
This was going to be a long night.

You know what, I think we should come to an agreement, like a rule or something like that we would both respect, and that would make the situation clearer, cause it really messed with my head, you know, and, Sasha stopped staring at the ground and intensely looked at the wall in front of her, not at ease, aware of Shanes face mere inches from her and turned in her diraection. I kind of missed you she finally managed to say, desperately trying to appear calm.
Shane didnt reply anything, and Sasha guessed she was silently agreeing. I was thinking of something like she started but was interrupted by Shanes body slouching further down, her head crashing against Sashas neck and then finally settling in her lap. Great Sasha muttered, raising her eyes heavenwards, and reluctantly taking the slumbering form in her arms, stroking Shanes messy hear. She had for once managed to summon up enough courage and had talked to a deeply sleeping Shane, which was kind of ironic and made her smile, though rather halfheartedly.
Fine she said out loud if you want it that way. You dont know what youre missing !

Ok Tina, I will need your help. Youll have to push with all youre strenght at three, ok ? the midwife asked Tina, casting a quick look at the two strangers seated on each side of the bed.
And then it all started : the midwife shouting, nurses fidgeting, Bette clutching Tinas hand as if her life depended on it but Tina didnt seem to mind, on the contrary, she seemed to draw strenght from it. And then the machines going wild, all the lights blinking on the monitors, the sudden tension and chill in the room, the change in Tina, Bette who couldnt feel the pressure of Tinas hand in hers. The quick sentences of the doctor, one nurse reaching out for Bette, grabbing her by the shoulder and dragging her away, out of the room, and the heavy, orange, ugly door Bette had had to wait in front of closing once again.
Suddenly, she felt something, on her side, a strong hand taking hers. She turned her head and realised Hamid had been forced to leave, just like her. His eyes were clouded, deep lines appeared on his forehead and she noticed that his mouth was slightly twitching on the left side. She madly squeazed his hand, holding on to it, trying to focus and not give way to panic.

Rayne put the bundle back on the table, not giving her verdict right away, relishing in the feeling of power, highly aware of the fact that Jenny was hanging on her every word.
Its interesting she finally said, adopting the pose of somebody whos lost in his thoughts, because she didnt want Jenny to get too satisfied with herself. I can feel you, your passion, your angst. Youre writing about others but youre giving yourself away in every single word. Youre there but arent at the same time. This book is not you, but its you in a way. Its not bad. You should publish it.
Jenny couldnt believe her ears, overwhelmed because it was the first time Rayne was being positive about her work. But she vigorously shokk her head at the last sentence : No way, I liked writing this, I think it helped me to understand a few things and its good like this : a book that I wrote for myself. I cant publish it, Im talking about real people in it and not only wouldnt they like to see their life revealed like that, but they dont know anything about this, me writing about them. Im going to keep it for myself. But you were right, it was an amazing idea. Kind of a therapy actually she said, her eyes sparkling.
Rayne simply nodded, pushing jenny on her back, her hand firmly stroking her leg, moving up to her thighs and sliding to Jennys center, her eyes locked with Jennys, waiting for Jenny to break eye contact with an extatic expression, eyes transfixed when she would come. She loved to see her like that, this little girl, offering herself completely, without restraint nor holding back, unhealthyly innocent.

    1. This is one intense story…will Tina die? Will Bette ever forgive her for being with a man again…will Hamid get his wife back…and the gang…their having a hell of a time too…strangely enough I am intrigued and looking forward to the next chapter…ignore the rating…you’re doing fine.
