Bette wont be able to take her eyes off you. You look absolutely beautiful sweetie.

When Hazel mentioned Bettes name Timmy remembered that she was already here. Bettes here.

What? Why didnt you tell me? Tina asked, her voiced reeked of anxiety?

We were watching tv. And then you called. She smells nice. And she looks beautiful too.

Tina turned to Hazel and Timmy ran back down stairs to rejoin Bette. Im nervous.

Calm down sweetie. Youve been out with Bette before this time wont be any different.

I know, I know. I keep telling myself that but Tina sighed, Maybe its the occasion.

Just relax and lets go meet her.

SOME MINUTES EARLIER AT BETTES

Shane was in the kitchen when the limo pulled up at the house. She greeted the driver briefly before going to tell Bette that the driver was here. She knocked on Bettes door and waited a while before opening the door. Dude our ride is here.

Bette turned for Shanes approval on her look for the night, What dyou think?

Amazing. You look great.

Really? Bette could command the attention of a room with little or no effort and she was never needed reassurance before, but tonight she was going to the prom with the woman she loved more than life and she wanted to make an unforgettable impression on her.

Dude you look hot and Tina would think the same thing too so just relax.

I dont think I was even this nervous for my prom. They were almost out the door when Bette remembered the corsages and Shane offered to get them including an accessory Bette bought for Tina to wear tonight. Bette and Shane were soon seated and on their way to pick up Dana. When they got to Danas, Shane went in to get her. She waited till they were in the limo to give Dana her corsage. Shane took a good long look at Dana, and for the first time since her friendship with her she thought of Dana in a different light. Dana looked exceptional like every teenaged girl would want to on her special day and that didnt go unnoticed by Shane. Dana felt a little uncomfortable by Shane constant peer. She kept her eyes from Shanes as much as she could then eventually asked, What? Is there something wrong with how I look? Is my dress ok?

No, no, you look beautiful, perfect.

Dana you look great. Bette interjected. The guys. Bette looked at Shane, or girls wont be able to take their eyes off you tonight. Bettes statement caused Dana to blush. Secretly Dana wanted Shane to appreciate her look and from the look Shane has been giving her since she entered the car she knew she was successful. The drive to Tinas was more or less quiet. Bette lost in her thoughts of how the night will be for them and the girls. I cant believe I am actually going to a prom at twenty-nine. And to think I thought it would just be to chaperone. Bette thought as she looked out the window taking in the night-lights. When they got to Tinas Bette got out of the limo. Before Bette could ring the bell, Tinas dad opened the door and it startled Bette, Oh, hi you scared me.

Sorry, didnt mean to. I saw you pull up. Taking Bette inside, You look beautiful.

Thank you. Bette said smiling.

Where are Shane and Dana? You know Hazel would want pictures of everyone.

Oh, theyre in the limo, Ill go get them.

No no, Ill go.

Bette went in and was waiting for Tina to come down. She was watching television with Timmy when Tina called for him. Just then Randy, Tinas dad, came back with Shane and Dana on either hand. Am I the luckiest man alive or what? Randys comment made Bette chuckle and Dana and Shane blush. Timmy came running back downstairs to meet Bette. But when he saw Shane he grabbed her instead and took her to the living room. Tinas family had grown very fond of Shane especially Timmy since Bette brought her to one of their bar-be-ques some months ago. In fact over the past eighteen months since Bette and Tina were dating their families have become close. Dana followed them in the living room while Bette and Randy stayed talking. Hazel came down with Tina close behind. Bette was about to respond to something Randy said to her when she saw Tina on the stairs. Bettes eyes were trapped by Tina and every step Tina made was followed very closely by Bette. Bette was speechless and in a reverie under Tinas involuntary hypnosis, so much so that she was totally oblivious to Shane, Dana and Timmy who came in when they heard Tina and Hazel come down, not to mention the fact that Tina was already in font of her and she didnt even move. Shane nudged Bette bringing her back to reality. Oh, I have this for you. Bette gave Tina the corsage instead of putting it on her hand.

Tina handed it back to Bette, Why dont you put it on me?

Sorry. Bette hands were shaking as she put the corsage on Tinas hand. Tina seeing this smiled to herself and was relieved that she was not the only one nervous about tonight. Bette smiled at Tina as she tried to compose herself. You look beautiful.

You look great yourself. And I have something for you too. Tina gave Bette a gift box and in it was a diamond and silver charm bracelet with a single charm on it. It was yeong ai, the Chinese symbol which means eternal love. Tina put the band on Bettes hand. Bette placed her hand to look at the charm more closely. Tina seeing that told her, It means eternal love. Bette looked at Tina and she was overwhelmed by the love and devotion she saw mirrored in her eyes. Tina placed her hand on Bettes face and wiped away the single tear that was forcing its way down Bettes cheek. Bette allowed her face to rest in Tinas hand for a moment then took out the gift box she had brought for Tina. Whats this?

A little something I thought would go nicely with your dress.

Tina opened it and she couldnt believe her eyes. They both had the same idea of what the perfect gift would be for tonight. Bette gave Tina a diamond and gold necklace with an infinity pendant. She replaced Tinas scarf with the necklace. Now it was Tinas turn to cry. Tina couldnt resist kissing Bette. A kiss that started slow became deepened and very passionate forgetting where they were.

Shane cleared her throat to remind them that they werent alone. We should get going.

They broke the kiss both faces red from blushing. Bette was the first to apologise. Hazel quickly whipped out the camera. Come on you cant leave without pictures. Gather together. Then I will take of Tina and Bette together and then Dana and Shane.

I want too, I want too. Timmy yelled jumping up and down.

Come here. Bette took him in her arms and held him while Hazel took pictures. After hazel was satisfied that she had enough pictures they all headed out to the limo and to Wyndham Bell Age Hotel. When they arrived at the hotel they got directions to the room where they supposed to be. When they opened the door to the hall everyone eyes fell on Tina. Bette noticing this whispered to her, I guess I am not the only one mesmerised by you tonight. Tina smiled coyly. The disk jockey Shane got for the night seemed to be a big hit amongst the seniors. Bette looked over at the area where the disk jockey was. Shane realised that Bette eyes had made contact with the disk jockey and said, Oh did I tell you I got Kit to dj tonight? Bette didnt say anything and she did her best to hide her annoyance.

Bette and Tina made their way to the other chaperones while Shane and Dana met up with some other students. Everyone was having a great time. Dana had more offers to dance than she cared for. Shane stole a moment with Dana and took her to a secluded place to the back where she enjoyed a dance with whom she called the most beautiful girl at the prom. Dana enjoyed being with Shane and their friendship meant more to her than anything and even though they didnt have dates with guys they both were contented to have gone with each other.

Bette was hoping to spend some time with Tina but they were both too busy with their duties as chaperones. Bette decided that the in light that they were already at a hotel she would make reservations for a room for the night. The night passed off well. And at the end Bette went out to meet the limo driver. You will be two short in going back. But take care of the girls and I trust that you will get them home safely. She then went back in to meet the girls. She pulled Shane aside, I think I will stay here tonight. You can go ahead without me.

Took you long enough.

What do you mean?

Even the blind can see how you were looking at Tina tonight. Shane teased.

Bette couldnt help but laugh at that statement. They went back to meet the girls. Bette and Shane still laughing, Tina asked, Whats so funny?

Oh nothing Baby.

Come on Dana, lets go. Shane and Dana walked to the limo. Bette and Tina still standing at the entrance. Tina was about to follow them when Bette pulled her back, Hey, not so fast.

Youre not going?

Nope. Bette smirked.

Miss Porter what do you have up that sleeve of yours.

We are staying here tonight. It took everything I had not to take you when I first saw you tonight so I think its only fair that I have the chance now.

When did you. Nevermind.

Bette took Tina to the room. They werent completely in the room when Bette pinned Tina to the door. Bette devoured Tinas lips like there was nothing left to eat. When they finally broke for air breathlessly Tina managed to say, I need to lie down.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Bette guided Tina to the bed. They sat next to each. Bette began to undress Tina and Tina took pattern and started to undress Bette. They sat facing each other. Tina leaned in and kissed Bette on the lips and Bette moan softly into the kiss. They continued to kiss and Bette leaned in more forcing Tina back on the bed. They continued with their exploration of each others mouths for a few moments till Bette broke the kiss and stayed watching Tina. She caressed Tinas face still looking deep in her eyes. I could stay like this forever.

Tina reached up to meet Bettes wet lips, but Bette kept her from moving, instead she took Tinas hands and held them above her head with one hand. Bette started kissing Tinas ear then her neck and then her lips. Releasing her hands, Bette moved slowly down Tinas body kissing, nibbling, every inch inhaling her arousing scent and lingered on her lower stomach. She made little circles around her navel with her curious tongue before kissing it. Tina took Bettes head in her hands and guided her back up and stared lovingly into her hazel eyes. Waking up next to you every day and going to bed with you in my arms for the rest of our lives. I dream about having children with you. Bette kissed the crown of Tinas head and waited for Tina to finish. She loved what she was hearing and for as long as she could remember she wanted exactly what Tina dreamt about. Thats like two hours away. Bette exclaimed. She jumped up almost throwing Tina off the bed.

Now you understand why I am not sure what I should do.

If I werent in the picture, what would you do?

Take the job. I dont want you to give up something you want so much for me and then resent me for not letting you to do it. Its miles away I know but we could see how it goes.
