Tina and Bette continued their liaison for the next three weeks, spending any free time they had together, going on picnics, out to dinner, walks, even a nature hike that Bette didnt enjoy too much. Three weeks later Bette, finally, was moved back into her apartment.
She was elated with the job Shane had completed; the extra time was warranted because the tiles matched the dcor perfectly.

It was Saturday and Tina was on a five-day break from work. She decided to surprise Bette by cooking dinner for her in her new kitchen. Bette was going to be at the gallery for most of the day, so Tina planned to put her surprise into action.

First she rang the gallery to make sure Bette was there and to see what time Bette was planning to pick Tina up for their date tonight.

RING, RING, RING,

Bette: Hello Bette Porter gallery.

Tina: (smiling)Well, hello Bette Porter gallery. Im looking for the ***** owner. Is she around?

Bette: (playing along) Yes shes around somewhere would you like me to get her for you?

Tina: No I think youll do. You sound ***** yourself.

Bette: Bye Tee.

Ok, Bette will be at the gallery till about 4, I better get started. Tina thought.

Tina let herself into Bettes place just after lunch. She was sure Bette wouldnt mind, especially once she knew why. Tina knew she was definitely falling in love with one Miss Bette Porter and tonight would be the night that she would show her!

Tina wanted everything to be perfect. I want Bette to feel as special as she makes me feel Tina thought to herself.

She had acquired all the ingredients she needed, to prepare a meal fit for a queen. She also bought along some mood lighting (candles), a few of her favorite Cds and some ***** lingerie she picked up from Victoria secrets, the day before.

Tina prepared the four-course meal, taking care to make sure everything was cooked just right.
She prepared, Grilled Vegetables on Water crackers with Brie for appetizers,
Pumpkin and avocado soup with a touch of paprika for entre,
Roasted rack of lamb with scalloped potatoes, Zucchini, mushrooms and baby beans for the main, and the classic strawberries and cream with chocolate sauce for desert.

I sure hope Bettes hungry Tina thought with a devilish grin on her face.

It was now getting onto 3:30 and Tina expected Bette home in about half an hour. She placed the mood lighting around the apartment, put a Cd in the player and went to have a shower.
Tina got out of the shower and put on, only her lacy black bra and panties, and a kitchen apron that had kiss the cook written on it, she brushed her hair lightly and checked her reflection in the mirror. Well, This is as good as Im going to look. That running training is certainly paying off. I really hope you like my surprise Bette! Tina thought to herself. Bette pulled up into her driveway just after 4, she was eagerly anticipating her date with Tina tonight. Little did she know the date was going to start sooner than she thought?

The water then stopped running and about a minute later Bette walked into the kitchen to get a glass of water with only a towel on, drying her hair with another one.

Bette was so caught up in her own world, that when she looked up, she stopped dead in her tracks. She was so surprised by what she saw it caused her to stumble backwards, fall over a counter stool and to the floor. Her mouth was hanging open she didnt even realize the towel she was wearing had fallen off.

Tina, not knowing whether to laugh or be concerned ran to Bette immediately. Tina couldnt help but notice Bettes naked body on the floor. She felt the stirrings of desire in the pit of her stomach.

Commander: Isnt this why you joined the fire brigade Tina, to help people. To save lives, you could make all the difference in one of these motorists lives.
Guilt worked every time on Tina. She always ended up agreeing when someone put the guilt trip on her.

Tina: Ok.. boss, but youre going to owe me big time.

Commander: You got it, anything you want. Thanks Chief Kennard, see you soon.

Tina: Ok bye.

Tina went back into the bedroom to an eagerly awaiting Bette.

Bette saw the look on Tinas face and her smile turned into a frown. Im so. sorry Bette I have to go and help out at an emergency. Tina tells Bette.

Bette: Youre kidding righttell me you are ***** kidding Tina?

No, I gotta go right now. Tina says whilst putting on her clothes and grabbing her stuff.

Bette just lay on the bed looking at Tina, stunned.

She gives Bette a peck on the lips and realizes from Bettes expression this may be unforgivable. Bette may not want to see her again after this. She had to try and make it up to her later. Right now she had to go to work.

Bette: TINA! Fine go, maybe I will go out with Alice and find a girlfriend who thinks I am a priority! Bette said more than a little frustrated. The burning between her legs was causing her not to think straight. She regretted the comment as soon as she made it.

Tina: Im sorry, Ive got to go. Do what you have to do!!!!!! Tina didnt want to start a fight with Bette she had to go.

Within minutes Tina was out the door not knowing what lay ahead, hoping somehow things would work out.

Bette was left aching,in her bedroom thinking, obviously Tina doesnt care as much about this relationship as I do. She resisted the urge to ‘please’ herself, deciding on a cold shower instead. She got out of the shower and rang Alice.

Tina arrived at accident scene about 20 minutes later. There were too many casualties and not enough ambos on the scene to assist. During the ordeal Tina helped an ambulance officer administer cpr to a little boys mum. They work furiously on her for 30 minutes, alas to no avail. The young mum was pronounced dead at the scene. She died in front of her 4-year-old son. Tinas heart broke at the sight of the little boy. She was almost beside herself with grief. She was usually very composed in her job but when it involved kids, it broke her heart every time. She completed her duty at the scene like a consummate professional but as soon as the ordeal was under control all she wanted to do was go see Bette. To fall into Bettes strong, safe arms and stay there forever, even if maybe Bette didnt want to see her. She had to try.

She drove over to Bettes place still in her uniform, even the fire jacket not even thinking; she didnt even see the car pull out of the side street
