IMAGINE ME AND YOU, I DO Chapter 5


Bette flashed Tina her million dollar smile when Tina accepted the offer to have coffee with them. Pam and Nicole just stood in silence wondering how the heck Tina knew this gorgeous woman. Pam was still in the closet about her bisexuality and Nicole, who is straight, is beginning to have ***** thoughts about her and Bette. Pam and Nicoles lusty stared at Bette didnt go unnoticed by Shane and Alice.

Alice: Well ladies, are we ready to go?

Tina: (Turning around to look at Pam and Nicole) you guys dont mind going do you?

Pam: Of course not, I would love to come.

Nicole: Yeah, me too.

Shane: Great, lets go then.

The six women walked in silence until they arrived at The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in the Grand Canal walkway. Each had ordered their poison of the day and now was sitting across the table from each other. Tina, Pam, and Nicole sat on one side, while Bette, Shane and Alice sat on the other. Bette was facing Tina as Alice and Shane was facing the other two. Shane thought Pam was kinda cute, and Pam thought Shane looked kind of wild, in a good sense, someone that she wouldnt mind having a one night stand with. As for Alice, she just sits back and enjoyed the view of the three ladies sitting across from her and wishing that they were all *****.

Alice: (smiling, breaking the ice) okay ladies, I dont believe any of us have met besides these two (pointing at Bette and Tina) so…do you ladies mind if we go around the table and introduce ourselveslets pretend its our first day of class.

Hi, my name is Alice Pieczecski. (Alice then looks at Shane)

Shane: Im Shane McCutcheon.

Pam: Im Pam Dixon.

Nicole: Im Nicole Johnson.

Tina: Im Tina Kennard, and I met you last night in the ladies room (looking at Alice) remember? I just didnt catch your name.

Alice: (looking confused then embarrassed when she remembered how drunk she was) Im sorry but I dont remember seeing you. I hope I didnt leave a bad impression.

Tina chuckled and was about to tease Alice but decide against it since she didnt know Alice that well.

Bette: (smiling, finally knowing Tinas name) and Im Bette Porter. (Teasing Alice) so Ms. P whats on the agenda today? (Winking at Tina).

Tina blushed when she saw Bette winked at her. Damn, that wink is so ***** thought Tina.

Alice: Its time to play spin the bottle (Seeing the shock looked of the 3 women sitting across from her) just kidding

Alice was so funny and witty that the ladies began to feel at ease around each other. Alice and Shane talked with Pam and Nicole, while Bette and Tina were in their own little world, and for the next 3 hours the six women talked and got to know each other a little better. Bette and Tina were amazed at how comfortable they were around one another and the conversation between them had flowed freely and easily. Tina told Bette that she was a lawyer and that she and Bryan worked for the same law firm in LA. Tina could see the disappointment and the disinterested look on Bettes face whenever she mention Bryans name so Tina decided not to talk about him and changed the subject. Bette told Tina that she was into art and owned her own Art Gallery in LA. Tina couldnt believe the coincidence that both of them lived practically miles apart.

Tina looked at her watch and couldnt believe that it was 5:30pm. Bryan is going to kill me thought Tina. They have a 6:30pm reservation at the Tsunami Asian grill and Bryan practically had to pull teeth to get a table there.

Tina: (looking at Pam and Nicole) we better get going guys.

Pam and Nicole: okay.

Bette: (looking disappointed) so how long will you be here? Vegas, I mean.

Tina: Were leaving early tomorrow morning. I have another big case coming up so I need to get home and do my homework (smiling at Bette).

Alice: What are you guys doing tonight?

Pam: Nothing really (looking at Tina hoping she didnt say anything wrong)

Shane: Why dont you guys join us at the Dirty Dozen Club?

Nicole: (not knowing that its a ***** club) Yeah, that sounds fun, maybe Ill find a Mr. Right there.

Pam: (laughing) how about a Ms. Right.

Nicole and Tina looked at Pam confused. Alice, Shane and Bette couldnt help but laugh.

Pam: (still laughing) Never mind, Ill tell you later

Alice: Sowhat do you say ladies? Should we meet up later?

Bette was looking at Tina anxiously.

Tina: Pam and Nicole could go if they want to; I should stay with Bryan (looking away from Bette).

Bette felt her heart shattered; she thought she was going to cry at that minute, just the thought of Tina being with Bryan cuts her like a knife. Why am I feeling like this? Bette questioned herself. I barely know her.

Tina knew that Bette liked her but wasnt sure if Bette was ***** or not, but by Bettes behavior Tina thought Bette liked her more than just being friends. Tina on the other hand, was starting to feel something for Bette too. It wasnt just the physical attraction, it was the way that Bette had listened to her, looked at her, and being so attentive. Bette made Tina feel like she was special. Tinas feeling for Bette was starting to scare her.

Tina: (standing up) we have to go; it was nice meeting all of you.

Pam: (also standing up) How about if we meet you guys in the lobby around 9:30?

Shane: (smiling) sounds like a plan. See you then.

Tina squeezed Bettes arm as she walked passed her and with that one touch, Bette felt a tingling sensation spreading down to her spine. Bette looked up and smiled weakly at Tina, she wanted to stop Tina and tell her to please stay, but Bette knew that she was asking for the impossible.

When Tina arrived back at the hotel room, she noticed that Bryan had already dressed for the night and was waiting on her. He looked furious.

Bryan: (yelling) where the ***** have you been? Ive been waiting here for over an hour.

Tina: Im sorry babe, and please dont yell. I guess we lost track of time.

Bryan: (sounding agitated) you guess? Damn Tina, its almost 6 oclock; we have reservations for 6:30 remember?

Tina: (grabbing her outfit off of the hangers and heading toward the restroom) I know, just give me a minuteit wont take me long to get ready.

Bryan: (yelling toward the bathroom door) where did you guys go anyway?

Tina: Ummwe went for coffee.

Bryan: Coffee?

Tina: Yeah, coffee.

Bryan: Then what?

Tina: (walking out of the restroom looking fresh and ready to go) thats it.

Bryan: Tina, you dont think for one minute that Im going to believe that it took all three of you 3+ hours just to get coffee do ya? Come on, Im not that stupid, what else did you guys do?

Tina: Wellactually, I ran into someone that I met at the club last night, so all of us decided to hang out. We just talk, thats all.

Bryan: (eyebrows furrowed) who is this person?

Tina: Her name is Bette Porter. She and a couple friends of hers invited us to join them for coffee.

Bryan: Oh… (Relieved to hear that it was a woman and not a man) wait a minute (Sounding excited, his anger toward Tina had faded) by any chance this Bette Porter owns her own art gallery in West Hollywood?

Tina: (looking surprised wondering how Bryan knew) yeah, I think its the same one. How did you know her?

Bryan: John and I stumbled in her gallery by accident last week; she just opened that gallery likefour months ago. I had ordered this beautiful painting from her that Im still waiting on for the delivery. The gallery is beautiful babe; Ill take you over there sometime so you can check it out.

Tina: Sure.

Bryan: (still sounding excited) so you met Bette Porter huh? What did you think of her?

Tina: (acting like she wasnt interested) shes okay, not bad looking.

Bryan: Not bad looking! Honey, that woman is gorgeous!

Tina: (teasing Bryan) sounds like you got a mad crush on her.

Bryan: Who wouldnt! Just kidding babe you know youre the only one for me.
(Kissing Tina roughly on the lips).

Tina: (pushing Bryan away) we better get going. Pam and Nicole are waiting on us.


Tina, Bryan, Pam, and Nicole had dinner together at the Tsunami Asian Grill. The dinner was perfect, everything tasted good, and by 8:30pm their party had downed 2 bottles of wine. Pam and Nicole excused themselves for they have to get ready for clubbing tonight. They asked Tina if she was sure that she didnt want to come. Tina nodded yes. Deep down, Tina really wanted to go, but she felt guilty for not spending enough time with Bryan, so in order to avoid an argument, Tina figured she better stay with him.

Tina was surprised to hear of Bryans plans for the night. Bryan was planning on gambling some more. Tina thought they were going sight seeing together down the strip.

Bryan: Babe, Im down 2 grand. I need to try and get it back.

Tina: So what am I suppose to do in the meantime?

Bryan: (shrugging) I dont knowthis is Vegas, do anything you want. Why dont you just go with Pam and Nicole?

Tina: And you dont mind that Im going clubbing without you?

Bryan: (leaning in to kiss Tina) no, I dont mind. I trust you babe, and besides, Pam and MY secretary Nicole is there to keep an eye on you. (Laughing)

Tina: Fine, if you insist.

Little did Bryan know that he is practically throwing the woman that he loved right into Bette Porters arms.
