Bette smiled as she came out of their bathroom, pulled her hair out of its ponytail and ran her hands through it. The smile faded, replaced by a frown, as she noticed Tina standing sadly in the middle of the room staring at nothing. She walked up behind Tina, slipped her hands around Tinas waist and rested them on her stomach. She rested her chin in Tinas hair and held her tight. What are you thinking T? she said.

How strange it is that Rosies not here with us. We havent been alone at night since Rosie was born. Tina put her hands over Bettes and snuggled closer in Bettes embrace.

Bette was surprised by Tinas answer but relieved; this was something she could fix for her. Do you want me to go get her..you dont have to leave her with the nanny if youd rather have her in here with us Bette said quietly into Tinas ear.

No..its OK..shes asleep..I just dont like to think of her waking up to a stranger.

Ill go get her then.. Bette started to remove her arms.

Tina caught hold of Bettes hands and wrapped them around her again Stay with me hold me….

Uh huh..she started coughing before she came into the room.. Tina chuckled.

Bette climbed into bed and moved over towards Tina, laced their fingers. They lay side by side reminiscing. You know I swear each time she coughed youd blush and get a guilty look on your face…no wonder she thought we were up to something Bette turned to Tina, pushed her hair behind her ears When did you stop blushing each time I kissed you?

The same time I stopped having to pinch myself each time we were together..it just seemed like a dream at first.. Tina stroked Bettes cheek, kissed her gently.

Bettes thoughts started veering towards how the dream had nearly become a nightmare but she diverted them Do you remember what you told me here in this room?

That I loved you Tina whispered as she looked into Bettes eyes I didnt know I could feel that deeply about anyone. I was so afraid to tell you. I thought you might not feel the same way.

Bette gave a low throaty chuckle How could you doubt that, remember when I met you at the airport..

Mmm..you dragged me into the nearest restroom and let me know how much youd missed me.. Tina said clearly remembering, she laughed Do you remember how shocked people were?

Maybe they were jealous a smile tugged a Bettes mouth.

It felt so deliciously illicit..

Bette chuckled Ummm well you werent shy from what I remember..

But I still wasnt sure that you loved me.. even when you told me I thought maybe youd just said it because I had ..

Bette searched Tinas eyes Well I hope I managed to clear that up for you..

Oh..I believe you did eventually..but maybe you should remind me again Tina said teasingly.

Oh ***** Bette looked at Tina lovingly Come here… She pulled Tina close to her, ran her hands down Tinas body and kissed her deeply.

Tina pulled away for a moment and traced Bettes lips with her fingers Tell me again..

Bette caressed Tinas cheek and looked her deep in the eyes T, I love you. I think I loved you from the first time I kissed you.

Tina smiled and kissed Bette back I love you too babe.
