    1. Welcome back! This has always been one of my favorite stories. I was kind of hoping tat Bette wasn’t dreaming but I hope they will get together soon, not just physically but emotionally!

      Ohhhmmmm…. :D

I’ve decided to break this chapter up into little bits so I can savor it. I mean, the whole reading and re-reading and re-reading and re-reading thing works too, but I think this might be better. I believe in some circles it’s called “weaning yourself off of something” but that’s just crazy talk.

Olives, not sure how much more I can compliment you without simply resorting to drooling and pointing. Classic story and definitely one of the best that’s ever been written here. :) 5 zagillion stars !!

    3. Yeah, you’re back.Love this chapter.Have to agree with Mari, Bette needs to lighten up and have more faith that things will work out at the end.Today must be a super Monday. All my favorite writers posted today.

    4. excellent chapter. it’s amazing the paradox between bette and mari, both seem to be the same in many respects but those subtle differences make a big difference in how you relate to them. i hope this story is going where i think it is or at least imagine it is. thanks for updating this. i missed this story. :)

    5. I think being in a foreign country has thrown Bette for a loop. She’s lost her bearings, she’s out of her element. All things conspire to shake her confidence: their sleeping arrangements, the go-fer position with the production company, the previous liason with the director Holly, language and cultural barriers. Bette has really put herself on the line by coming so far to be with Tina. I hope Tina appreciates how out of her element Bette is and how unsettling that must be for a controlling personality like Bette. In the best of circumstances, travel can be disconcerting. When you throw in all the variables that you’ve introduced, it’s amazing that Bette hasn’t chucked the whole thing and run back home in defeat. Ah, the power of love! How ennobling and enabling it can be! Thanks for this continuation. You need to serve some of this delicious food though! I’m sure you’re responsible for lots of our late-night refrigerator runs, with us having to console ourselves with cold bologna and tea. Where can I get warm strudel at this time of night?
