I just saw the awards list and would like to congratulate ALL the writers who post stories. Truth be told, not everyone follows every story, heck we’d all be fired from our jobs and lives if we did. Anyway, if we could, I’m sure we would. I would like to extend my sincerest congratulations to all the writers who were chosen and would like thank those who chose me. It is a blessing and an honor to have been recognized. Finally, to those I have caused to wear Depends, made pee their pants, or came close to peeing their pants, I’m glad that my crazed-induced writing gave you pleasure and took some of the stress out of your lives. Love, respect, and happiness to you all.

my congratulations to all the winners — and to the judges — I am amazed that I totally agree with their selections (maybe an honorable mention to fanficchick) — and cramit definitely deserves a special award for the entertaining comments —

What lovely comments you’ve left. Agree with you, Kay2, an award should go to the most avid reader and to fanficchick. Without the readers, the authors would have no inspiration. Personally, I’m using the readers and some of the writers as characters in my chapters, so always be on the look out for your name.

Congrats to all who won awards. I personally think it is a fantastic idea to have awards. Thanks to all who write, it makes my day that much brighter to read things that come out of someone elses thoughts. Too bad about the negative comments not having a name. If you want to voice your opinion, you could at least stand up and be counted for the positive or the negative. Just some food for thought to those who want to dis something that was meant to be fun.
No Name is this your true name are or you afraid to use your true one? If a writer who hasn’t posted for a while it would be a courtesy to all would read that particular author’s stories. She wouldn’t need to go into the reasons for not posting. As for the two opinions, I think attacking them was absolutely wrong of you “No Name”. They were being honest, they weren’t attacking anyone. I don’t see it as a negative comment, just being constructive perhaps some are more senstative to constructive criticism. I don’t agree with the voting and some who were awarded, am I going to be strucked down also. I also can see how this may influence some to stop. I am hoping not. Just like amanda mentioned, she writes because she wants to, not needing outside praise in doing so(Stroking the Ego). So I’m hoping that they will continue, and the fans will also.
Yes it is No Name. See why readers don’t leave comments, they are attaked. Maybe it is a little praise stroking for the winners to stroke their eagos. This is fan fiction no academy awards. No awards should of been given at all. Period.
For the most part, a writer is only as good as those who read their works. Agreed, there are pluses and minuses when it comes to awards (how Usher got one over Prince astounds me), but it’s subjective. So, for all those who write, keep writing. NEVER let anyone take that joy from you. For all those who read, please comment whenever you can. It’s an amazing source of inspiration and encouragement. Even if you have a negative opinion of a story, share it and justify it because that too can help the writer a great deal. This site is unique in that it lets us play “Barbie” and make the orginal characters do what we want them to. Creativity is a beautiful thing as if the freedom to express it. Let’s all keep up the good work (readers/writers) and continue to support this site and each other. As I said, and don’t mind repeating I thank EVERYONE for their comments, support, love, and encouragement. I especially appreciate Rayne, Jaded, and Katey for helping me express myself. And for all of you who hung in there while I lost my mojo and served time on Writer’s Block. I personally award you all with endless e-hugs. :-)

Also my thanks and greatest respect to all the writers that contribute to this world of fanfic. To me taking the time and the effort to write is a major undertaking. How can something so positive turn out so negatively?
Why didn’t anyone say anything when the site 1st announced that they were going to do this? When you hurl insults, you need to think before you speak. You get bent out of shape because you didn’t (or on of your friend) win. There were tons of writers that are excellent, but everyone can’t win.
I swear, get a group of women together and just wait for the drama to begin. This is some ignorant shit, and you haters need to grow the fuck up.

Would it be better if I renounce the award? Being told I have no class bothers me. I’ve been sitting on it all day because I don’t want to get in the middle of things and I was worried that anything I wrote wouldn’t be taken seriously since I was picked. But, all this talk of ego stroking and no class. You don’t know me. I’m not a bad person. All I’ve done is write about something that I like and all I wanted was to share that with other fans of the show. It took alot for me to post and I’m glad that I did, because I’ve made friends through it. I didn’t vote for myself. I didn’t ask people to vote for me. I could list 20 other writers that I would gladly share, if not outright give, this award to. But is it wrong for me to be grateful and humbled by being chosen? I’d like to think that if I was, it wasn’t a show of hubrus and a lack of class. Most writers got started on here because of inspiration from other writers and I’m pretty sure that wonderful cycle will continue. Writers will come and go and some will stay for the duration. I would hope writers wouldn’t leave because they weren’t picked for an award, but there’s no way of knowing if that’s the case of a writer is heard from no more. There are hundreds of stories on this site. And the fact that each person took the time to write and put themselves out there for compliment and critique is incredible. Awards or no awards, every author here is incredible. And you may take away from this sentiment by saying that it’s easy for me to say because I won. I hope you won’t. If I woke up the next day and someone else had filled that category, I would have rushed to congratulate them on their story without another thought. And definitely without feeling resentment that I hadn’t been picked.
I will agree with one thing. Sea and Olives most certainly, are some classy ladies. :)
First off, Congratulations to all of the writers who contribute to this site. Thank you all for sharing your gifts. Unfortunately in life, there are always going to be coward ass haters who will try to steal your joy or turn you against each other. The awards were meant to be positive and for the most part they have been. Look at you all congratulating each other and giving each other props. That’s class. Not everyone who deserves an award will get one. That’s just life. And not everyone is going to agree on what’s best because we are all individuals who see things differently. That’s why this site is so full of unique stories with varying twists. That’s what makes it great. Yes, the haters are entitled to freedom of speech just as the judges and writers are entitled to freedom of expression. Ladies, keep holdin it down. The majority of us ain’t hatin’. Unfortunately I can’t keep up with all of the authors on the site, but I’d like to give a shout out to the few that I do try to keep up with: BluJewel, JadedRogue, Katey471, Madwoman, Seahurst, Skipton and Sparta….I love y’all. And I hope to broaden my horizons and check out more authors as soon as life settles down a bit.
To all of you, there will be a million people who hate you and another million who love you so let your heart and creativity be your guide, not the haters!

Congratulation to all the WINNERS in the most recent Fanfic awards! To all the other writers I bow to all of you out there who have put in so much effort in all your work without which there will never be this wonderful place I call the fanfic realm where a fan like myself can delve herself in a make believe realm and get so much …much more than you can ever imagine. The L word fanfic writers ROCK! For most of the story line in here are super creative in fact IMHO the real series in many ways pale in comparison with the creativity the writers in this realm have within them.
Truth be told… I have a top ten list “must read†stories each time I check in to see new up-dates or post from the writers who’s material I either feel most in awe off or absolutely smitten and hooked on or I have utter respect of their work and creativity and tenacity. Well only 4 of those on this list of mine won the award I would love to see all of what in my humble opinion are writers of star quality whose uniqueness, grace, style, are evident in their respective work get their due recognition specifically to; Madwoman, Skipton, Tamaratag, Amandamg, beluga, heartandsoul, windrider, lsrenaski, to you ladies I say this “A garland of roses and a zillion heartfelt THANK YOU’S as a reader I feel it only right to make my heartfelt appreciation of your work verbalized and share with the rest of this lovely community here. Lastly, TO ALL L Word FANFIC WRITERS I loveNhonor humbly bow once again for all your efforts, time and mostly for sharing your stories with us the L word fans the world over! THANK YOU.

Damn, talk about a knock to one’s ego……however, it’s good because it puts things into at least some what of a perspective. Like there are diffintly tons of incredible fic-peddlers (like T6Beach likes to call them) on this site………BTW: Thank you, Jacky for providing us the space and for hosting the very first (and on-going) L-icious fanfic awards (even though, I did not win *shrug* can not account for taste)……..Congratulations to all who won and all of us who at least deserve some kind of recognition…….and T6Beach better write more of addicts tale………even if she’s dead………I will kick her sorry dead ass……..if, she does not……..personally, I think she’s just making shit up, because K has been keeping her extremely preoccupied………..and I sure can ramble………once again, Congratulaions to all the winners! :D
I wasn’t able to sleep, being in a strange bed and not having my significant other next to me. So I thought that I would check out the site. Apparently there has been a firestorm today. I want to congrulate the winners.I have taken the time to read all of them, and I do encourage an open forum. It was good to see what the positive and the negtive had to say. All I can say is it is an honor to have the readers who take their precious time to read my stories, and who leave positive and negative comments. I must say I’ve only received one negative and then not really negaitive, but I viewed as constructive not negative. As to No name, I know how it is to deal with a love one who had terminal cancer. I am an only child, I took personal leave from my job and had my mother brought into my home with hospice. The nurse would come once a day and take her vitals, and if needed increased her pain medication. I bathed my mother, I fed my mother. You see the cancer spread from her colon to her brain, she had lost all her motor skills, so I know what it is like to care for a love one who is dying. My mother passed away in my arms on April first of 2003. No one gets over seeing a love one pass away and to literaly see’s how the body dies is something I wish on no one. I have many sleepless nights, seeing that in my mind. So coming on this site to write my stories, they aren’t great, but I have fun with them. I encourage all to continue to write, and to the readers please read and leave comments. Thanks so much carol.

first things first; what’s done is done, and none of the writers are unclassy. i’m supposing that no one here knows anyone enough at all to judge their character, so comments like that are best left stifled.
no one is a pulitzer prize writer here; we just plain like doing what we do, and no one has any apologies to make. those here to start trouble, be negative because they can’t string subject and predicate together, and / or take away from an experience that’s supposed to be kinda fun, should just save everyone the trouble and do something else.
Cramit, don’t you f*ckin’ dare make any apologies for your work. it’s wonderful and you know what? someone is always going to be out there throwing shit at you…duck, brush your shoulder off, and keep going. do your thing, mama. award or not, what you’re able to do with words is the shit.
This site is so packed with amazing writers who aren’t writing to be awarded; having people read our work is thrill enough. there are tons of writers who i’d happily share my award with, anytime.

I just wanted to take the opportunity to say congratulations to the award winners and most of all to thank all of the writers. I am older that probably most of your mothers and I want you all to know how much I have enjoyed reading your stories. I take care of an elderly parent and after I get home from work, I am kinda stuck at home. After I get my mom settled at night, I can’t wait to get to the computer and read all of your wonderful stories. I like to think that I have a young heart , just in an ageing anatomy. Ha
! Anyway, thanks for giving me something to look forward to every evening. I am so an addict….
