George drove down the dark quiet street. She stopped in front of her sisters house and thaught “I wonder if they are even home” Just then a shadow in the window caught her eye, she got out of her car and walked up to the door. As she rang the doorbell she couldn’t help but feel like something was wrong. She waited too long for a response and went to ring the bell again. Suddenly the door opened and revealed and tired looking Bette. She looked up with tear soaked eyes to see who this unwanted visitor was.

George: “Holy Christ Bette! What’s going on? Are you ok?” she quickly asked

Bette started to cry and leaned on the door for support. George grabbed her and led her to the couch. She sat Bette down and quickly sat next to her and put her arm around her.

George: “Bette..where is Tina?” she said in a quiet tone.

Bette continued to cry and could only mutter the words “she left..shes gone” George got off the couch and kneeled in front of Bette.

George: “What happened? Where did she go?” she said with a worried tone.
Bette: “I…..*****….I fucked up and…..I broke her heart” she wispered.

George could see the pain in Bette’s eyes. She knew exactly what Bette had done. She was extreemly hurt by the news. George first met Bette when she was 16 and she was the first person in Tina’s family to find out about their relationship. She loved them together and always thaught of them as the perfect couple. Bette had helped George with her own struggles and helped her when she came out to her family and friends. Now Bette needed her help, she couldn’t walk out on her. She took a deep breath and began to speak

George: “I don’t know how this happened but in order for me to help you I need to know exactly what happened, you have to tell me everything” she said as tears welled up in her eyes.

For some reason Bette could always talk to Tina’s sister. She was calming just like Tina. After a while she spilled her guts and told her the whole story then waited for George’s response.

George: “Never in a million years would I ever thaught I would ever hear what I just did. I know that you still love her. I need to talk to Tina, I need to make sure she is ok. I uh am going to go find her” she said standing up. Bette stood with her. “This is kind of a lot to take in right now….right” she gave Bette’s hand a gentle squeeze and walked out the door.

She stood outside the front door for a moment to gather herself “what the *****” she wispered to herself as she dug around her bag for her cell phone and keys. He got into the car and dialed Tina’s cell phone.

“Hello” said a voice that was not Tina’s

George: “uh…is this Tina’s phone?” she asked not recgnizing the voice on the other end
Alice: “yeah…who is this?”
George: “This is her sister. Who is this?”
Alice: “Oh my god, Georgia? It’s Alice. You couldn’t have called at a better time.” she began before George cut her off
George: “Uh yeah I know…im in LA…I was just at the house…I talked to Bette”
Alice: “Can you ***** believe this, I am truly ***** baffled…I don’t have a clue what the ***** is going on around here. Your in LA?”
George: “Yeah well, I was supposed to come next week to look at apartments but I decided to come early cause I wanted to go to the opening of Provocations but my plane was late and i got in a little over an hour ago. How is she? Is she ok?” she asked with extreem worry
Alice: “um well she was a complete wreck but then she calmed down enough to fall asleep”
George: “So she is at your place..could I come over?” she asked as she started the car.

Alice gave her directions and she was quickly on her way.
