Jeez Id heard Bette and Tina talk about it but Ive never actually seen it before, you? Shane laughed.

Once or twice but not in a long time. Jess remembered, drunken hangovers and a multitude of other things, like studying sessions that kept her up till gone 5 am.

Yup, but only because you told me last night. A few more flashback entered her mind, Shane featuring in all of them.

Just checking you remembered. Shane told her trying to look serious, yet she couldnt help smiling at her.

Finished looking? Shane asked fixing her with a look shed earned from Bette once or twice.

Yes now hurry up we dont want to miss the flight. Dana said, knowing if she got the chance to leave she would.

No, I wouldnt want to do the whole meeting the family thing again. Tina remembered meeting Melvin and how bad it went.

Speaking of family Kits coming round about 10 and Alice and Marina are coming about 11. Bette changed the subject wanting to get as far away from Melvin as she could at the moment, shed had a row with him two weeks previously and neglected to Tina.

Ok, you think there are going to be extra guests? Tina said wondering if Kit was going to bring a man and Marina would bring a woman – she had been extremely happy for a few months now. And Alice well youd never know with her.

No. I already asked. Bette thought over Alices confession that she was seeing some one and smiled.

So I dont have to cater for 10.

Fine. Bette walked over to the couch and gave her wife a hug. I think itll be strange not celebrating Christmas with Shane this year. Thinking of her younger friend, who was in a relationship and seemed quite content although she didnt divulge names.

Yeah well this woman sounds like shes amazing, especially if Shanes only been with her since mid – September. Tina replied.
