With a little help from my friends-chapter 10
Tina pulled up to the house for the first time in what seemed like forever. It didn’t give off that same warm feeling as it once did. She sat in the driveway for about 30 minutes before she got the courage to turn off the engine. She took a deep breath and get out of the car. She quickly scaned her surroundings looking for signs of Bette. Suddenly she didn’t want to tell Bette about the baby yet. She was scared and confused still. Tina walked up onto the front porch and unlocked the door. The house didn’t look like it once had. Everything was out of place, the plants were wilting. Bette was never at home for more an a few hours these days and she had cloths and papers everywhere. Tina walked down the hallway and into the bathroom. She started to gather some things and began to remember the time she lost the baby. Bette found her there, in the bathroom and how she came to hold her and tell her everything was going to be ok. Tina remembered how comforting Bette’s arms were. Tina started to cry as she fell to the floor. She sat there sobbing once again. She didn’t notice the front door open nor did she notice Bette walking down the hallway. Bette saw Tina’s car outside but didn’t see her in the house. She heard Tina crying in the bathroom. “Tina?” she said as she ran to the door. As Bette came around the corner she saw Tina curled up in a ball on the floor next to the sink.
Bette: “Tina…what are you doing in here?” she said as she ran over and bent down in front of her. “what’s wrong Tina?” she said brushing the hair off of her tear soaked face.
Tina couldn’t talk yet so she just continued to cry. Bette stood her up and helped her to the living room. She sat Tina down on the couch. Bette sat down next to her and started rubbing her back. “ok now whats going on?” she said in a calm voice. Tina naturally started calming down due to Bette’s gentle touch.
Tina: “Bette…I really didn’t plan very well before I came over but I have something I need to tell you.” she said taking a deep breath
Bette: “What is it, you can tell me anything.”
Tina’s tears had finally stopped flowing and she had gained composer again.
Tina: “I really don’t know how I expect you to react to this but I thaught it was only fair to tell you right away. I realized that I was too dependant on you. Our relationship was changing, we were so set on having the baby that there was never any time for us to just be us. I prepared myself for pregnancy I was ready then and I am ready now…..so I went to the cryo-bank and got the incemination. Im pregnant again..”
Tina stopped to wait for a reaction. Bette just sat with a frown on her face and her eyes were welling up with tears.
Tina: “We both need to figure ourselves out Bette. I’ve taken my first steps.”
Bette continued to look deep into Tina’s eyes searching for forgivness. She blinked away some tears and took a deep breath.
Bette: “I want to be here for you, at least as a friend. I know you are ready to be a parent. I was the coward that got scared and ran away. Your the strongest woman i’ve ever known. Your going to make a wonderful mother”
Tina smiled a faint smile. She was releaved that Bette didn’t freak out and felt comfort in her words. She wiped a tear off of Bette’s face and wispered “thank you” then got up and and said “I have to go” Bette nodded and walked to to the door in silence. They said goodbye and Tina left. Bette watched her drive away then closed the door behind her.

I have to say that I agree with Hotpepper…Bette should’ve take her into her arms and held her….never letting go…
Although Im not a big fan of the friend statement either……….I hope Bette is just taking it slow so she can win Tina’s heart again. Good Stuff
