“Yea well…right now…u being sorry doesn’t really ***** matter to me…Just ***** go

home…and don’t wait up…I may not come there tonight…or this morning rather…”
“Where are you going?” asked Tina
“I don’t know…but wherever it is….it is none of your business anymore….”
“Yes it is…” screamed Tina…
“No it isn’t….it became none of your ***** business when you let that mother *****

stick his ***** in you…” screamed Bette as she walked away from Tina….she got into her

car and pulled away.
Tina didn’t know what to do….she stood there for a few minutes…should she go back up to

the room or should she just go home?….against her better judgement, she decided to go back

up to Eric’s room…*****, she didn’t have anything else to lose….she had already lost

Bette.
About 10 minutes later, she stood outside of Eric’s door……..making sure that this is

what she wanted to do…..slowly, she raised her hand to knock on the

door…knock…knock…knock…
Eric walked to the door and opened it….he twitched back a little..afraid of being hit

again…He stuck his head outside the door and looked both ways to make sure Bette wasn’t

there..”The beast isn’t still here is she?”
“No…she left…..Look, I’m sorry for yelling at you earlier…I’m just hurting right

now…..please…can I come in?”
“yea…sure…come on in…” he said as he stepped aside…
Tina walked in and sat on the sofa…and Eric followed closely behind…sitting next to

her…”I, too am sorry…for saying what I did earlier…I love you so much….I never

stopped loving you and I don’t want to live another day without you…”
Tina just looked at the floor….
“I can’t help it Tina….you broke my heart when you left me…but I never got over you….I

just left you alone….because I thought you were happy….I knew that if you didn’t come

back to me, then you really didn’t love me…”
“Then why did you come back here if you thought I was so happy? I mean, you got me drunk and

seduced me…and we didn’t even use protection…did you plan this or something?”
“No…Yes…I mean, I did plan to come and see you…I didn’t plan to sleep with you

though…that just happened..”
“But why? Why, after all of these years…come back?”
“Tina, I have something to tell you….Noone else knows this….” said Eric as he looked to

the floor…
“What?” asked Tina..
Eric sat there in silence…Tina leaned down a little to look into his eyes and she noticed

tears…
“What Eric…what is wrong? Why are you crying?”
“Tina…..I had a doctor’s appointment about a week ago…and…they told me….”
Eric stopped……in mid sentence…
“Eric..come on…you are worrying me…what did they tell you?”
He looked up into Tina’s eyes…and said….”They told me that I have…………cancer..”
“Oh my god…Eric…no…” said Tina as the tears filled her eyes and she reached for

him…to take him in her arms…
“Tina…I just had to see you before something bad happened…I had to let you know that

after all of these years…you are the only one who has my heart…”
Tina began to sob….”*****…I am so sorry I hurt you soo bad…I…..”
Eric looked into Tina’s eyes……”I love you soo much…” and he slowly leaned in to kiss

Tina….a kiss ensued….as things began to heat up….

Bette had made it up the coast…driving…and sobbing uncontrollably….it seemed as if

every song that her and Tina had shared together was now playing on the radio…one after

another……she pulled the car over to the shoulder of the road and managed to get it

together……..she decided to turn around and head to Kit’s house….it was barking up on

6am…and she knew that her sis would be awake….and she had told Bette that she could come

to her anytime for anything….
By 7am…Bette pulled into the driveway…she got out of her car and went up to the door….
knock…knock…knock…
Kit opened the door only seconds later….”Bette…my god…you look like *****…come in…”
she said as she grabbed he sister’s hand…”Have you been up all night?”
“Yea…” answered Bette sounding exhausted…
“I thought you were going home…” said Kit..
“I couldn’t…..I went back into the hotel after Tina….”
“*****…baby sister…I told you to just leave her alone…”
“Kit, I couldn’t let her go in that hotel and spend the night with him….”
“What happened?”
“Well, Tina found me there…I punched Eric again…Tina begged me not to leave…and I did

anyway….”
“Where is Tina now?”
“I don’t know…I’ve been driving since I left there…I haven’t been home…” said Bette
Kit walked over to the phone and dialed Bette’s house….ring….ring….ring….six or

seven times…no answer…”Goddamit Tina…” she said as she slung the phone down…
“Bette…look…lay down here and I’ll get you a blanket…you just stay here and

sleep,ok..? stay as long as you like…”
“Thanx Kit…”said Bette as she laid down on the sofa and finally drifted of to sleep…
Kit took the initiative to call Franklin at the CAC, and let him know that Bette was very

sick and wouldn’t be making it in today and possibly tomorrow…He wished Kit to tell Bette

to take as long as she needed….that she deserved it..Kit said ok…and hung the phone

up…
Bette started to stir around 7pm…she looked out the window and it was dark again…she

had slept the whole day away…she could smell food cooking in the kitchen…and as she

slowly sat up and walked towards it….Kit was walking out and they were both startled…
“Dammit, sis…you almost gave this old woman a heart attack…” said Kit holding her

chest…
“And likewise….” said Bette…
“I’m making some dinner…u hungry?” asked Kit
“No…thank you…but I have a huge favor to ask…”
“Yea?”
“Can I stay here for a few days and camp out on your sofa?…I won’t be a bother…I

swear…I just can’t stay at the house….”
“Bette, baby….you are never a bother to me…and you can stay as long as you like…” said

Kit as she pulled her sister into a hug….
“Okay, I’m gonna run out for a while…do you need anything while I am gone?”
“Well, where are you going?”
“I’m gonna run by the house and pick up a few things…clothes..toothbrush…just

necesseties…”
“No…I don’t need anything….but call if you need anything..ok?”
“K.” said Bette as she flashed a fake smile..grabbed her keys and left….
A little later, she was sitting outside the house….Tina’s car was in the driveway..and a

few lights were on….she walked up to the door..used her key and walked in….she heard the

shower running, so she just went into the bedroom quietly…trying not to be too loud so

that she could get a few things and leave before Tina even realized that she was there…she

grabbed what she wanted and was almost about to reach out for the ***** on the door, when…
‘Bette…” Tina said softly
Bette just stood there…not moving..not saying anything….
“Bette…where are you going?”
“I can’t stay here….” said Bette still not moving…
“Please Bette…this is your home too…”
“No…you can have it…”
“Does that mean you are leaving me then? I made a mistake Bette…and now you want to walk

out on a 7 year relationship for 1 mistake?” said Tina
“It wasn’t just a mistake Tina…you fucked someone else…remember…?” yelled Bette as she

turned to face Tina…”You let Eric…your ex-lover…***** you…”
“It was a mistake…” said Tina through the tears…
“Did you come home after I left the hotel?” asked Bette
“Bette, don’t change the subject..I asked if you are gonna walk out on a 7 year relationship

for one mistake that I made?”
“And I…” said Bette as she stepped so close to Tina that she could smell

cologne…”***** asked you if you came home this morning after I left the hotel?”
“Bette…I….” said Tina as she looked at the floor…
“Goddammit…” and Bette walked over to the picture of her and Tina on the end table in the

living room..she picked it up….”We mean nothing to you…so therefore, you are nothing to

me…you have ***** killed me on the inside…not only once did you do it…but you went

back for more….have you no conscious Tina? Do you even know what you have done?” yelled

Bette as she held the picture in her hand as she would a baseball and pivoted on one foot,

twisting around..slinging the picture against the wall as hard as she could…shattering it

as it fell in pieces to the floor….’Goddamit…T….” she said as she raked all of the

pictures off of the mantle onto the floor…slinging everything she could get her hands

on….
Tina stood there sobbing with her hands over her face…scared to death….
Bette stopped and looked at Tina…..”I am going now…and don’t look for me…you won’t

find me…” she walked out….slamming the door behind her….in such a rage….
Tina fell to the floor in tears…’what have I done?’……
