“So things have been pretty hectic recently huh Al?”

“That’s an understatement Dana!”

Alice thinks back over the madness that took place after Provocations. Her mind settling on that kiss! She laughs.

“I can’t believe I kissed you!”

“I know! And I kissed you back!”

They both laugh. At least we can laugh about it now thinks Alice. I nearly lost Dana over that kiss! I guess I should have just told her I had feelings for her, maybe she wouldn’t have got so mad if I had said that. But to actually say I did it to split her and Tonya up – what was I thinking?! It doesn’t even matter anyway, it didn’t work. The wedding plans are still going ahead and Dana is stuck with that cat killing psycho. I just wish they would break up.

“What you thinking Al? You look a little spaced out”

“Oh… er…. I was just thinking how glad I am that I didn’t split you and Tonya up.”

“Hmm that was a pretty low trick. I know you don’t like her but you could have just told me that!”

“Yeah but…..”

“Come on Al, shes not as bad as you make out. I know she can be a little… overwhelming at times but she means well. And I love her.”

“Yeah I know, she makes you happy blah blah blah!”

“Alice!”

“Sorry! I’m sure we’ll get on one day. It’ll just take time.”
Yeah like a lifetime, I hate the girls guts! But Dana loves her so I’m just gonna be happy for her and get over it. Maybe they’ll split up without my help or maybe I could go see Dana’s mom and see if she can split them up! Alice! Stop thinking like that. Be happy for Dana.

“Tonya… Hi”

“Hi Alice, Dana sweetums. I missed you so much.”

“Hey baby. Don’t you have a meeting with the florist this morning?”

“Yes but I thought it would be so romantic if we went together and chose between the shortlist of those five varieties of rose and we need to compare the colours with lilies for the centre pieces and all of those colours still need to be matched to napkins! Dana… Pleeaasse!”

“Well you know I’m supposed to have breakfast with Alice.”

“I’m sure Alice wont mind if I steal your cuteness away from her for just a few hours. You could meet for lunch. You don’t mind do you Alice?”

“Um no”

“See Dana. I told you. Your friends just want our wedding to go as well as we want it to go”

“Is that right Al?” Teased Dana “You want our wedding to be perfect?!”

“Sure Dana, of course” Replies Alice throwing Dana a look to kill and giving her shin a quick kick under the table.

“Ouch!” Squeaks Tonya, casting a pained expression at Alice.

“Oh sorry Tonya….erm…I have a reflex problem….the doctor says it’ll pass naturally!”

Alice stifles a giggle as Dana pulls Tonya to her feet.

“Lets go babe.”
“I’ll kiss that better for you later.” she adds in an undertone and giving Alice a final glare she leads Tonya out.

“What the ***** am I gonna do?” Mutters Alice and she rolls her eyes.
