Bettes heart rate quickened. UmI dont think weve got any plans Teewhat did you have in mind?

Great. How the ***** are you going to get out of this one Porter? Bette thought to herself.


Chapter 37.


Tina: (suggestively) Ive got a surprise for youJust leave Saturday open Ok babe. I want you completely to myself?

Tina said Saturday yeah, not Sat night, Bette thought to herself

Bette had an idea, Ok Tee, but Saturday night, youre all mine. I want to take you out to celebrate our new home. We havent officially done that yet!!

Tina: Ok babe, if were not too exhausted after my little surprise. Ill go with you where ever you want. Deal?

That was easy, great thinking Porter Bette thought.

Before Bette could answer she could hear the fire alarm siren in the background.

Tina: Sorry babe, got to go I love you.

Bette: I love you too.

Tina had hung up, Bette breathed a sigh of relief, thank god for that.

Bettes thought process was so consumed with Tina that it didnt even register what Tina had said; about a surprise on Saturday; for Bette. Here mind was in its own little world, eagerly anticipating Tinas Saturday surprise.

The day passed fairly quickly and Bette did manage to get some actual work done. This week was going to be harder that Bette thought; at least one thing was settled, Tina had agreed to go out with her on Saturday night. Bette crossed that one thing off her to do list.

The week seemed to fly by. Bette had called Tinas mum early in the week and it had been barely pleasant, but Nancy had agreed to attend.

Bette had also managed to keep Tina away from Alice; she knew to well that if given enough opportunity Alice would spill. Everything was set, only a few days to go

Tina noticed that Bette had been acting strange all week. She wasnt even grilling Tina about her surprise on Saturday, which was very unlike Bette. Tina was hoping to generate a bit more excitement and was disappointed when Bette seemed disinterested in it. Bette was excited about something though and Tina sure knew it wasnt her or her surprise.

By Thursday night, Tina had become a bit anxious; she never saw Bette like this before. When they were making love Bette was her Bette, the woman she was completely in love with, she would give herself over to Tina like she always did, and their amazing connection was always present.

However in conversations Bette seemed to be holding something back something was going on. Tina had a particularly good eye for detail, especially when it came to Bette, and her instincts were telling her Bette was hiding something.

I have this feeling, in my gut, that Bette is keeping something from me, I really thought were supposed to tell each other everything, what the ***** is going on Tina thought to herself.

And then there was the secret conversations with Alice; since when did Bette go into another room just to speak to Alice over the phone? Something was definitely going on and Tina was going to find out what!!!!

It was about 9pm Thursday night; Tina and Bette were lying on the sofa, letting their dinner settle. Tina had her head in Bettes lap and Bette was combing her fingers through Tinas hair, massaging Tinas scalp. Tina loved the feeling of Bettes smooth hands on her scalp, it totally relaxed her, but she needed to keep a clear frame of mind to approach Bette on this secrecy matter.

Tina looked lovingly up at Bette, Babe, can I ask you something?

Bette: (smiling) Sure Tee, anything.

Tina sat up and looked Bette square in the eyes; this made Bette a bit nervous. Bette knew Tina could read her better than anyone, and knew what Tina wanted to ask. She only had 2 more days; managing to avoid the questions all week. Only 2 more days damn, Bette thought.

Tina wanted to ask Bette in a clear, even tone void of emotion, so Bette would have every opportunity to answer her truthfully, Whats going on babe? Whats the secret you dont seem to want to share with me?

Bettes heart began racing and Tina noticed, TinaTee, I already told you.

Tina was getting agitated, I can tell you are lying Bette I can see it in your eyes. they betray you…. are you going to tell me, or is this how you want to play it, having little secrets from each other? I thought our relationship was better than that?

Bette thought to herself, what the ***** do I do now, either I spill the beans or Im in trouble for the next two days. (Bette decided)Oh well, its worth the risk of being in trouble for the next two days. Im not ruining the surprise!! Tina could see all the emotions playing over Bettes face and she was getting extremely irritated.

Bette took Tinas hands in her own, Of course I dont want any secrets Tee. our relationship IS better than that I just. I cant, I promised .Alice, baby.

Tina: (harshly) Well, maybe you should go out with Alice then Betteyou clearly trust each other more than you obviously trust me. Tina knew that was a bit melodramatic but she didnt care at this point.

Bette tried to lighten the moment, come on Tee. Bette pulled Tina into her and bought her lips to Tinas, but Tina pulled away. Tina really wanted her and Bette to have the kind of relationship where they could tell each other everything, and she thought they did, obviously Bette didnt. Tina sadly thought.

Tina got up off the couch, Im going for a drive Bette I will be back later. Tina grabbed her keys and walked out the door.

Bette just put her head back on the couch and sighed, Its going to be a long 2 days she thought.

Tina got into her car, Damn it Bette!! I am going to find out whats going on!

Tina decided to drive over to Alices and grill Alice. It was driving her crazy that Bette had a secret. If Bette wouldnt tell her, well Alice knew too, and Alice had a tendency to break under a bit of pressure.

Tina banged on Alices door. Alice opened it with a confused look on her face; it was, after all, almost 10:30 at night.

Alice: Tina, whats happened? Is everyth..

Tina looked intently at Alice, interrupting, Hey AliceCan I ask you something?

With those 5 little words a layer of perspiration appeared on Alices forehead, (trying to sound sincere) Sure Tina, whats up?

Tina: Alice What the ***** going on? I know you and Bette have got some secret Its driving me crazy.

Tina stood in the doorway in anticipation of a response.

Alice: (trying her best to sound sincere) Tina, I dont know what youre talking about. Im not aware of any secret?

Tina: (hurt that no one will tell her the truth) Ok I get it, you dont trust me either Al. Thanks anyway, I thought Id give it a shot. See ya.

Alice yelled out for Tina to wait but she was gone. Alice was kind of glad, Jesus, lucky she went when she did. I think I wouldve spilled, I just cant handle people being upset with me!!! Alice thought.

Bette was sitting on the couch at home feeling bad for not telling Tina, but she knew it would all be worth it on Saturday. Bette turned on the TV and lay comfortably on the couch, waiting for Tina to return from her drive.

After Tina left Alices she drove up the coast and went for walk on beachto try and clear her head. The moonlight and the sand under her feet worked to a certain degree; Tina realized that Bette loved her, it was like Tina had a mini epiphanyBette loved her, there had to be a good reason for the something. She would have to just wait and see what transpired, but she was not going to tolerate secrecyBette was going to talk to her!!!.. Tina got back in her car and made her way home to try and mend her situation.

Tina arrived back home just after 1am, to find Bette peacefully sleeping on the couch. Tina smiled at the sight; she couldnt help but feel complete love for this woman.

Tina picked Bette up and carried her off to bed. Bette stirred when Tina bundled her up in her arms, but Bette didnt dare open her eyes; she just wanted to enjoy the sensation of Tina holding her. What am I going to do with you Porter Tina thought to herself, you are going to talk to me, whether you like it or not!

Tina gently placed Bette on the bed, pulling off her pants and shirt.

Bette stirred briefly, in the midst of Tina undressing her (groggily) Tee, what time is it, what are you doing?

Tina: ShhhGo back to sleep babe, its after 1am, youve got an early start.

Tina had put Bette into bed, in her bra and panties; then changed her own clothes, and jumped in next to her, snuggling up closely into Bettes back, feeling her bare skin against Bettes, falling asleep almost instantly.

Tina woke up the next morning to a tingling sensation going through her body; she opened her eyes to find Bette staring directly at her with a ***** smile, tenderly caressing up and down Tinas body, with her smooth fingers.

Bette: (leaned in and hesitantly placed a tender kiss on Tinas lips) Good morning, baby.

Tina: MmmGood Morning babe. What time is it? Tina didnt pull away from the kiss, but she didnt let Bette deepen it either. Bette looked lovingly into Tinas eyes, waiting for a sign. Tina wanted to get something off her chest first.

Bette: (smiling seductively) Its early baby, 6am, Im sorry I didnt want to wake you, but I couldnt resist. wiggling her eyebrows. Bette didnt want to bring up the previous nights conversation, the less said in the next 2 days the better, Bette thought.

Tina did though, (seriously) Bette. listenbabe.I know you love me; I do.but why dont you trust me?. why? .I dont understand? Tina shrugged her shoulders.

Bette looked deep into Tinas eyes, and with as much sincerity as she had, Tee, have I ever asked anything of you, except your heart..(teasingly, trying to lighten the moment) and that incredible body of yours. moving her momentarily still fingers, continuing exploring Tinas body delicately, and gently causing goose bumps along their path. Bette was becoming lost in the feeling of Tinas body responding to her touch.

Tina was beginning to forget what they were discussing as well. Nnnnoooo bbaaabbeee.

Bette returning to reality (huskily) I promise you baby, you will know everything by the weeks end. Please trust me(pouting). Tee, just trust me ok?

Bette leaned in and planted a slow smoldering kiss on Tinas lips. Tina surrendered, for now anyway; her body totally betraying her. Ok Bette..I do trust you so Ill waitbut it better be good.

Bette replaced her fingers with her mouth, kissing a path down Tinas body, Oh baby, it is!! Just trust me *kiss * trust me *kiss * trust me!!

Bette began making love to Tina, passionately, sensually, showing Tina that she was worthy of Tina’s trust; totally devoted to Tina and Tina alone
