I’ll find my way….Ch. 5.5
Some people come into our lives and quickly go.
Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom.
Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon.
They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same.
~ by Flavia ~
If you are wondering, the answer is Yes, it is for You. In spite of everything, it still hurts. I will always miss you.

Have you ever had a conversation with yourself? You know the one between your head and your heart. Most of us listen to our heads instead of our hearts. Why is that? Fear?? Uncertainty? Unworthiness? Our head gives us insurance and safety. Comfortableness. Our hearts give us a blank page to paint whatever we want. I never believed in myself enough to paint that picture. Im changing. Im finding out that its not what I paint or how I paint. The important thing is to try to paint. Never give up! Go out and paint your lifes picture.

Shane was lying in her bed having a conversation with her heart and head. In the past couple of months, she had started to build the wall back up. The wall that Cherie had destroyed. She was finding it a difficult task because once you drink from the cup of love, its hard not to ask for a refill. Shanes thoughts turned from the pain Cherie caused, to the promise that lied in Ryans eyes. It made her smile. Gotta try, gotta try, she quietly whispered out.
Ryan was up early. She had called Taylor to cancel their workout plans. She had so much to do. Ryan was starting to feel like a scrooge, she hadnt done much decorating for the holidays. Now that her family was coming to town she wanted to make everything special. She wanted it to be perfect.
As Ryan was getting ready for the day she had Christmas music blaring on her home entertainment center. One of the many joys of owning a house. She might as well play it loud since she paid a couple grand for it.
She was singing Bing Crosbys Snowbird to her dogs and conducting her invisible orchestra. They were jumping around her and loving it. So was she. She hadnt felt this happy in a while.
Spread you tiny wings and fly away, and take the snow back with you where it came from on that day…….. as she was interrupted by the phone.
Hello! She yelled into the phone. She barely could hear anyone on the other end.
Hang on, I need to turn my stereo down. She kept singing as she darted across the living room to turn down the volume.
And if I could, you know that I would fly away with you.
Shane giggled as she listened to the production that was going on at the other end of the receiver.
Ok, Sorry.Im back. Ryan said.
A low, husky voice replied, Where ya want to fly to Baby?
What? Ryan said in confusion.
You were singing that you wanna fly away with me, Shane joked.
Oh yeah, that. Sorry, I was just feelin the Christmas spirit this morning.
It was very cute. Dont apologize, Shane said reassuringly.
Ryan, do you know who this is?
Ryan replied, Well, if I didnt Shane, I would have hung up by now. Youre voice is unmistakable, Shane.
Good, Shane thought to herself. At least she remembers my voice.
Without hesitation, Shane blurted out, I was checking to see if you wanna go out tonight. There is a really cool Christmas light festival at Griffith Park that we could walk through. Get some hot chocolate or whatever. You know, just hang out. Shane couldnt believe she was asking a girl out on a date. She felt like such a dork.
Ryan thought for a second, Sure I would love too! Ive got lots to do today, but I should be finished by tonight.
Ryan took a chance and said, Do you have any plans today?
No, not really, Shane curiously said wondering where Ryan was going with this.
Ive gotta do some Christmas shopping- gifts and decorations, stuff like that. My family is coming into town in a couple of days..you wanna spend the day with me? I could use some help.
Smiling, Shane said Sure, Id like that a lot. Absolutely perfect, she thought.
Giving her directions, Ryan said, Ill see you in an hour.
When Shane hung up, she called Alice. Hey Al, not gonna make it for coffee this morning.
What?? Alice was still asleep. What the ***** time is it?
Ouickly Shane said, Cant make it for coffee this morning. Got an important client today. Ill call you later. OKbye.
Yawning and still asleep Alright, later.bye. Not really curious and totally unlike Alice, she rolled back over and snuggled back up to Dana. It wouldnt be till later that she realized the conversation she had with Shane.
Shane showered and got dressed quickly. She ran in the Planet quickly, got an expresso and a caf Mocha to go. She was taking a chance on the Mocha. Surely Ryan would like it. She grabbed the directions out of her denim jacket, lit a cigarette, climbed in her truck and headed to Ryans.
