Bettes phone rang and she dashed into the kitchen to halt the noise as she struggled to put an earring on.

Hello? Bette whispered.

Good morning! Why are you whispering?

Alice? Look… I cant talk now… call you later.

She hung up the phone leaving Alice on the other end of the line, mouth gaping open with a smirk on her face. So Porter, long night? Ill be seeing you soon…

As Bette rushed around her apartment trying to quickly put on her shoes, she glanced over at the couch. Tip toeing, she peeked over from behind looking at Tina sleeping soundly. Bette reached over and brushed the hair away from Tinas forehead and gently kissed her.


Alice marched into Bettes office only moments after her, holding two cups of coffee.

Morning Bette. Thought you could use some of this. She handed Bette a cup. I figured you didnt have time to stop for some.

You are a life saver, Alice. Thank you so much.

Do you have anything to tell me? Maybe… about Tina?

She came home early and stopped by last night to surprise me. It was great. We talked for a while.

There is no and Al. We talked. We kissed. We fell asleep on the couch.

Tina woke up and looked around, confused as to where she was. She rubbed her eyes and squinted until she adjusted to the sunlight pouring on her face. Smiling, she remembered the night before, cuddling with Bette and falling asleep in her protective arms. She touched her lips as the memory of this kiss from the night before flooded over her as well.

She started to gather her things, but stopped and looked around Bettes place. Not wanting to snoop, she casually walked around studying her decorations and accessories. Not many pictures were displayed, one of her and Alice and some other women she didnt know. She had some artwork up but not much else. Bettes place seemed neat and expensive but it lacked a feel of coziness. Tina left and headed home.

Tina dialed the phone at her apartment.

Hello?

Mandy, its Tina.

Hey! Hows it going? You see Bette last night?

Yeah, I did. It was great.

Good, I knew it would be.

Are you and Liz and Tesa planning on going out tonight?
