As Bette woke up the next morning, she realised shed forgotten how sore you could get after a good dance class. Every muscle ached as she made her way to the bathroom to take a long hot shower. Despite her aching body, she had woken up with a smile on her face. Her mind was filled with thoughts of Tina. how could one woman have such an affect on me? I admit shes a looker but I hardly know her. well Porter, youre just going to have to rectify that somehow arent you!!?? As she was getting dressed to meet the girls at the Planet she could not help but think how good Tina had looked in a leotard and tights, moulded to every curve of her delectable body. She was on her way to meet the girls when something dawned on her, she couldnt place Tinas accent. It was subtle but intoxicating none the less and she chastised herself for not thinking to ask Tina at the end of the class. Well she hoped Al would know. Across town, Tina also awoke with a smile on her face although it faded as soon as she realised why. She was so confused, she could not stop thinking about Bette, how she moved, her voice, her eyes. she could get lost in those eyes. whats going on here man, pull yourself together shes a woman and you like men. but god Bettes adorable Tina decided to take a shower to clear her head and then go out in search of some coffee. She had heard about this little caf called the Planet and so decided to give it a shot. _____________________________________________ At the Planet Shane, Dana and Alice were waiting for Bette to join them, she had called and said she would be a couple on minuets late as it had taken her a little longer than usual to get out of bed this morning. Needless to say, Alice was overly curious as to why it took her longer than usual and was happily speculating as to the reason for this when she suddenly stopped mid sentence. Once Dana and Shane realised that Al had stopped talking looked in the direction of her gaze to see what had managed to silence this blond force of nature and like Alice they sat there speechless with their jaws on the floor at the sight of the woman who had just entered the Planet. Shane broke the silence with a low whistle of approval and was already making her way towards the woman in question while Al and Dana, still speechless just look at each other and smile. Tina knew instinctively that there was something different about this caf and when she saw the androgynous looking woman coming towards her, she finally put her finger on it. it was full of women, and oddly a lot of them were looking at her. No sooner had this thought registered, she felt a gently tap on her shoulder and was now face to face with the androgynous woman who was oddly ***** in her confidence. Hi Im Shane, and you would be? Ummm, Tina. Im new in L.A and thought Id check this place out. In that case, why dont you let me give you an official welcome? Shane said, flashing Tina her sexiest smile. Oh Shane, some things never change Bette thought as she walked into the Planet, noticing Shane and what would soon be her latest conquest and then she heard it. that accent, the voice that had invaded her dreams and consumed every waking thought she had. Tina? Upon hearing her name said by that heavenly voice which she instantly recognized, a smile spread across Tinas face which did not go unnoticed by Shane who quietly retreated back to her friends. Whats up romeo, you lost your magic touch? teased Alice Al!!! Dana said while kicking Alice under the table, worried that Al had hurt Shanes feelings Not at all, just got beaten to the punch by one Bette Porter Shane replied, smiling inwardly at the look on Tinas face when she had heard Bette. The woman was smitten and she didnt even know it, and by the looks of it so was Bette she thought as she looked over at the two of them. Bette. Hi. howzit going? Bette couldnt repress her smile as she realised how nervous Tina was outside the dance studio. Well I can hardly move today thanx to you, but its suddenly gotten a lot better she said smiling at the blush she had elicited from Tina. is she flirting with me. She cant be, dont be silly theres no way shes interested in you. do you even want her to be interested. Yes, yes I do thought Tina Well you know what they say, the only way to get rid of the aches and pains is to do is all over again Tina replied, rather proud of what she considered to be a saucy reply. Neither of them wanted the conversation to end but at the same time they could think of nothing further to say. They were lost in each others eyes, searching for answers to questions they did not know they were silently asking. Alice meanwhile was watching this little exchange with keen interest and unable to resist any longer made her way over to the silent pair. Would you care to join us you two? looking at Tina and addressing her Hi, Im Alice. Best friend to this mannequin over here inclining her head towards Bette Tina, already warming to this odd blond looked at Bette to see if she would mind her joining them. Noticing Tinas silent question, Bette took matters into her own hands Al, this it Tina and we would love to join you! As they reached the table, Al introduced Dana and stated that Shane and her had already met. One she had dispensed with the formalities Alice let the journalist in her take over. Soooo. How do you know Casanova over here inquired Alice, eager to get to the bottom of this intriguing development Well it youre referring to Bette then the answer is that I met her at a dance class yesterday Tina said smiling as she remembered how well Bette moved Yip Bette confirmed shes my old bag of a teacher she said trying to catch Tinas eye Oh I signed her up for that you know Alice states proudly so Porter, how was your first class after a year? Before Bette could reply Tina interjects, stunned by Alices revelation You havent danced in a year!?? God I wish I could look that good after a year!! Bette could not stop the smug smile which spread across her face as she said Well miss, Im glad you hold me in such high regard Everyone, including a blushing Tina, burst out laughing at Bettes comment. Tina couldnt help bit think that these were a group of people with whom she could become friends and could not help but grin at the prospect.
