Chapter 11 – Lunch at the Farmers Market

Tina and Cindy had decided to walk to the Farmers Market as it was only two blocks away. Tina was hoping to come to an amiable meeting of the minds between herself and Cindy. Cindy really was a dedicated talent, if Tina could just get her to become more of a team player. Things could be a lot less stressful between the two of them.

As they approach the market they settle on foot longs with Coney sauce and a soda from one of the vendors.
Cindy somehow you and I need to come to a meeting of the minds, after all if we are playing for the same team why do I feel we are always at odds? Tina starts the conversation.
And on the conversation went. Cindy was responsive to Tinas coaching on how to be more of a team player with both Carol and Tina. Tina herself was quite happy with how she had manage the situation where she was trying more to mentor Cindy then to accuse her of inappropriate behavior at work. This approach seemed to work well with Cindy and now all that was left was to see if Cindy modified her behavior in the future.
Cindy: Tina thanks for the talk. I can see how maybe my actions could be misinterpreted. Honestly, all I was trying to do was be better at my job but I can see how maybe I should have been more forth coming with you and Carol so everyone is on the same page.
Tina: Great, I think this clears the air and we can all move forward. Right?
Cindy: Right. So what now boss? There are some great arts and craft booths here that are fun to browse through. Have you ever been at the Market before?
Tina: No, but actually, I need to run as I have to be at Crittin House in about 35 minutes maybe next week. See you tomorrow.
And with that Tina walked the two blocks back to her car.
