Soul Harvest: Chapter 31
Bette and Tina were in their own world, oblivious to everything around them.
Hellooo? You guys remember me? Alice waved her hands in front of them in an attempt to break their gaze.
Hm? What were you saying, Al? Bette snapped out of it.
Nothing, just get a room. Alice muttered under her breath.
Im getting another beer… Bette? Alice?
Sure, bring em on. Bette said.
Tina walked away and Bette didnt take her eyes off of her as she watched the way her body moved. Her head tilted as Tina traveled almost out of sight but she still saw her tiny arms, thin and muscular, defined. Tina was laughing and talking to the bartender, shifting ever so slightly to Bettes direction before sitting at the bar so that Bette could see Tinas front… her flat stomach and marvelous curves around her –
Porter, wake up!
What? Sorry, Al, I guess my mind was somewhere else.
Yeah like wrapped around Tinas body.
Alice! Dont say things like that, she might hear you.
Chill out. Theres no way she can hear me, shes all the way over at the bar. Besides, her mind is right there with yours. About that ***** talk before… just dont do it on the dance floor, ok? Try to make it home first.
Bettes eyes grew wide in shock but she kept her mouth shut because Tina slammed the drinks down on the table, not noticing Alices smirk in Bettes direction.
So Tina, why do you drink beer? Alice tried to start conversation.
I like the way it tastes. I know I shouldnt drink it too much, she said as she patted her stomach, but I love it. Im picky about it, though, only certain kinds will I drink. If I had to choose something other than beer, Id want something with gin in it.
Well, look at that… you and Bette have another thing in common. Alice rolled her eyes and oozed sarcasm. Bette glared at her. How do you like your coffee?
Black. Its the only way to truly enjoy a real cup of coffee.
Uh oh, looks like you and Bette dont share this beverage preference.
Alice, I think well survive. I dont see the compatibility police coming to take us away. Bette laughed.
We have to have some differences otherwise wed drive each other crazy! Tina said.
Yeah, yeah I know the saying… opposites attract. Why dont you two hit the dance floor again and show everyone how your opposites attract the ***** out of each other.
Tina stood up and reached her hand out to Bette, raising her eyebrows. Bette wrapped her arms around Tinas waist and led her to the crowd. Alice smiled and watched her friend fall in love.
On the dance floor Bette and Tina danced to a couple of fast songs, touching and teasing. When a slow song came on, Bette pulled Tina so close that their ***** were pressed together causing sexual friction. Tina gasped and licked her lips. Bette smiled seductively and brushed her cheek against Tinas, whispering in her ear.
Why didnt you ever tell me you were such a good dancer?
Chills ran up and down Tinas spine, racing her heart to see which could out do the other. It was a steady match.
I could ask you the same question.
Their hips swayed together, not in sync with the music, but with their own rhythm. They no longer heard the song playing but paid attention only to their steady beating hearts and throbbing heat, pressed firmly against the others. Tina took a deep breath, smelling Bettes distinct smell of fresh flowers mixed with sweat and a deep musky smell.
The song ended and they decided to take a break and join Alice again, reluctantly.
Hey Al.
Thought you two forgot about me.
Aww… wed never do that. Bette smiled.
By the looks of it you two had forgotten about the world.
There was an awkward silence for a moment.
Is it really two oclock already? Tina looked at her watch.
Sure it. Time flies when youre having fun, huh? Alice smirked.
Id better get going. Tina stood up.
Guess that means Im going, too. Its late anyway. Al, you coming?
Right behind you.
They left the bar and headed towards their cars. Al said her goodbyes and let Tina walk ahead a few paces before looking at Bette.
You let that one go and Ill kill you.
What?
You heard me… keep her, I dont care how. Just do it because Ive seen enough to know Ive seen enough.
She gave Bette a hug and watched Bette turn and walk away.
At Tinas apartment Bette walked her upstairs. When they walked in the door there was an uncomfortable moment where they both stood around, not saying anything.
Would you like a drink? Tina broke the silence.
Um… sure maybe just some water.
Ive got plenty of that.
Thanks.
Bette, you can sit down.
Ok.
She sat down on the couch and Tina plopped herself next to Bette. Tina put her hand on Bettes leg and suddenly Bettes body was pulsing with want. She closed her eyes and thought about many things… it was very late, the night had been perfect already, some alcohol was still in her system… she decided against her better judgement and leaned over to kiss Tina.
It was intense, passionate and motivated by pure lust this time. Tina held on and let her emotions over take her. Hands flew up and down bodies, tongues were colliding, pulling on ears and lips and leaving trails down necks. Bette pulled away.
I should go. Its late and we both need to get some sleep.
Tina looked confused but thought it was best. She walked Bette to the door and said goodbye. When the door closed she leaned her head against it, sighing, closing her eyes.
Flinging the door back open, Tina raced down the hallway to the staircase. Seeing Bette ready to open the door, she stuck her head over the banister and yelled.
Bette! Wait!
