Tina dropped her hands onto Bette’s lap and rested her head on her sholder. Bette leaned down and kissed Tina’s neck and said “Youd don’t have to answer that.” Tina lifted her head and looked at Bette “I don’t want to, but I have to” she replied dragging herself off of the couch and hurried to her purse. Bette sat back and smiled as she watched Tina clumsily pick up her phone. “Hello?” she said pretending to not be out of breath. “Eric..hi..” she turned around and looked at Bette with confused eyes “oh no im sorry, i totally forgot….no it’s ok…i’ll meet you there in a half hour…ok…ok.bye” she hung up the phone and threw it back in her purse. “Bette, I have to go. That was Eric, I was supposed to meet him tonight. Can you take me home?” Bette buttoned her shirt and stood up. “Is that what you really want to do?” she said taking a step towards Tina. Tina could still see the desire in Bette’s eyes but she couldn’t let it continue. “Bette, im not denying my feelings anymore but I can’t do this. It doesn’t even matter that your a woman anymore, im with Eric and I can’t disrespect that.” she said as she took Bette’s hand. Bette smiled at the fact that Tina had finally come to terms with their attraction. Bette kissed Tina gently on the lips and wispered “and I would never want you to do that” then she walked over to the table and grabbed her keys. Tina was proud of her ability to stay faithfull to Eric, well for the most part. She was just going to have to find a way to keep her mind off of Bette, she had to convince herself that they were just going to have to try and be friends.

Tina climbed into the car and leaned her head back in the seat. Bette knew it would be only a matter of time untill Tina was all hers, she wanted to give her time to sort things out with Eric so she decided to back off a litlle. There was no way she was going to quit all together though, she wanted Tina more than she ever wanted anyone in her life and she was ready to wait for her. Bette climbed into the car and put the key in the ignition then pulled out of the driveway. Bette leaned over and put in a cd to end the silence..

Tina couldn’t help but think about how intense the night had been, what would have happened if Eric didn’t call. She had never felt the way she did when Bette touched her, just thinking about it made her desires return. She felt the car stop and opened her eyes.
Bette: “Were here.” she said putting the car into park.
Bette knew what she was doing when she put that cd in. These little gestures were all she needed to make Tina remember all of the passion between them.
Tina: “Thank you. Um do you want to get together tomorrow night?”
Tina couldn’t help herself, eventhough she couldn’t be with Bette, she need to be near her.
Bette: “Oh, I’ve got plans for the rest of the week. I can’t, but I can call you this weekend and see what our schedules are like”
Bette saw the slight hint of dissapointment on Tina’s face, but that was exactly what she wanted. She wanted Tina to think about her.
Tina: “Oh that’s ok, maybe we should take a break anyway, ya know”
Bette: “Yeah, maybe that’s for the best. I’ll call you.”
Tina: “Yeah, ok. Thanks again. see ya”
Tina got out of the car and walked to her door. Bette watched her and smiled to herself “god im going to love chasing that girl” she thought before she drove away. She pulled out her cell phone and called Alice.
Alice: “You slept with her didn’t you?” she said answering the phone
Bette: “I admit im good, but im not that good.”
Alice: “Oh please, im sure you hold a record somewhere”
Bette: “Anyway..”
Alice: “Ok yeah, so what happened? You guys looked pretty hot out on that dance floor”
Bette: “Well we went back to my place.”
Alice: “And..”
Bette: “And we had some wine”
Alice: “That’s it? You had some wine, boring.”
Bette: “Yeah well im almost positive something would have happened if Eric didn’t call”
Alice: “Boo, she’s still with him?”
Bette: “Yeah, she’s not denying feelings for me anymore but she can’t act on them since she is with him.”
Alice: “That’s the biggest bunch of ***** I have ever heard. They have been together for what, five months? That’s barely even a relationship.”
Bette: “Christ Alice” she laughed “Your right though. We need a plan.”
Alice: “Well I think you have probably forgotten how to properly court a woman-”
Bette: “What is that supposed to mean?”
Alice: “It means that Tina is the first person you’ve met in a long time that you didn’t just want to sleep with. Woman these days like the little romantic gestures, im sorry but this time you need to use more than just your looks and your body. Espically with Straity McStraiterson.”
Bette: “I know exactly what to do”
