This Should Be Interesting Chapter 11

The weekend had past and it was already Monday(And you know how Mondays can be) Bette was missing Tina and the meetings didnt help any. She wanted to know what Tina was doing and if she was ok. She didnt know why, but she just missed her. At that moment James buzzed Bette.

James: Bette you have a delivery here.

Bette: Thanks James, Ill be right there!

She walked straight to James’ desk and noticed the tulips sitting there with a card. She had the biggest and satisfied smile that James had ever seen. He was glad that Bette was happy, but he was curious of whom the person was, and he knew that Eric was out of the picture now, but he guessed he would find out soon enough.

She walked back to her office with the flowers and card in hand. She sat down and read the card

Bette,
I took the liberty of selecting these beautiful flowers for the most beautiful woman. I miss you!

Tina

This woman is amazingshes in Seattle and shes sending me flowers!

By that time Tina looked at her watched and she knew that Bette had received the flowers, so she called her

James: Bette? Ms. Tina Kennard is on the line,do you want me to put her through?

Bette: Yes Jamesoh and Jameswhenever Tina calls just put her through

James: Youre the boss.

Bette: Hey Tina!

Tina: Good morning Bette!

Bette: I want to thank you for the flowers you sent, they are beautiful.

Tina: Your very welcomeI miss you!

Bette: Thats sweetI miss you too!……. So how is work going?

Tina: Well you know Mondaysits very busy since its the first day of shooting at a different location, but I thought that Id take a few minutes to talk to the most amazing lady in the world.

Bette: Youd rather talk to Queen Elizabeth? (Teasing)

Tina: Funny BetteI was talking about you!

Bette: Oooohwell thank you for doing thatbut I think that its time that you get back to workIm pretty busy as well.

Tina: Okcan I call you later at home?

Bette: Yeah I should be home about 7pm

Tina: Okummm I probably wont be done until 9pm

Bette: Thats ok, Ill still be up, but call anytime youd like.

Tina: Ok, Ill talk to you later, bye.

Bette: Bye.

The first week had gone by fast and it was already Saturday. Tina had enjoyed her late night talks with Bette, she could talk to her about anything……she could just be herself…… and she didnt have to put a front like she had with other woman. Somehow she wanted Bette to know everything about her and she wanted to know everything about Bette. They would talk about their day, their friends, and what they would do during their spare time, but not once did they talk about their family. So, she made a mental note to talk to Bette about her family.

She was thinking about Bette while sitting at a coffee bar at an airport waiting for her flight to her next location, when an African American woman came up to the seat next to her…

-Do you mind if I sit here?

Tina: Nogo ahead.

-Thanks, (Talking to the waiter) Can I have a shot of espresso?

Tina: Wow, I guess you had a pretty late night

-I guess you could say that.

Tina: (Reached her hand out) Im Tina Kennard.

-(Shaking her hand) Im Kit Porter.

Tina: Ohare you..? Never mindSo where are you headed to?

Kit: Im going to Chicago. Im on a tourI like traveling on my ownmy bodyguards and entourage draws too much attention to me, so Im by myself for now.

Tina: (Shes so full of s***) Oh? What kind of tour?

Kit: (She loved it when people didnt know who she was) Im on a singing tour called The One and Only, thats my fourth number one hit song

Tina: Thats very cool!(Finally realizing who she was talking to) Oh S***!!! You’re thee Kit Porter?! OH S***!!! Im so sorry I didnt recognize you at first

Kit: Yes, the one and only and its ok, really.I love to talk to people who dont know who I amthey keep it real.

Tina: I feel like such an a**!

Kit: Dont(Looking at her watch)Im sorry to cut this conversation short, but I gotta get movinI dont want to drive to Chicago if you know what I mean

Tina: Its okit was nice talking to you Kit!

Kit signed her name on her napkin, gave it to Tina, and gave her a hug.

Kit: It was a pleasure TinaHave a nice flight!

Tina: Okbye! (She turned around) I feel like such a dumb a**, putting her face in her hands.
