Alice sits on the couch and sighs. She is not sure if she can really TALK to Bette. Bette sits down beside her.

Bette: Al, we broke up nearly 8 years ago. I thought we were okay. If I hurt you back then tell me, we have been friends for a long time.
Alice laughs, as she looks at Bette.

Alice: dont flatter yourself Porter, this is so not about me and you. It is just, well, umm, I feel like a hypocrite. I accuse you of cheating on Tina, and ridicule you, and I am doing nearly the same thing. I just realized it tonight. The night of your opening, well, after I left, I drove around. Clearing my head, it was late, 3 a.m., and I found myself driving to Danas house. I rang the door bell and when Dana answered it, I told her she could not marry Tonya. She asked me why, and, ummm, I, well, I kissed her. Bette, I dont sleep with my friends.

Bette: you and I are friends and you slept with me, besides you did not sleep with her, did you? I mean we all know that you and Dana have an attraction. I am not the right person to say you should not have kissed her. I can not judge you, Al. So then what? Did you talk to her? I mean what did she say?

Alice: I just left. I ran. I went home and that is when I found Tina. I was so worried about you guys that I did not even talk to her and have not since that night. I was focused on you guys. I guess I should have talked to her, but I am not sure what to say.

Bette: Oh my God Al, I am so sorry, I wish I knew how to fix all this mess. Well the good news is, I love you and I hate Tonya, she killed Mr.P I could see it in her eyes. When I gave Dana the portrait, I saw guilt.


Bette winked at Alice and Alice started laughing.

Alice: so what should I do? Should I call her? What is wrong with us Bette?

Bette: well first, I will go and ascertain the disposition of our little tennis pro. I will investigate Ms. Tonya. I have not seen Dana in a while. Does Tina know? Oh my god, I was going to call her, do you think it is too late?

Alice: Yo, Porter, we are talking about me here.(laughing) if I know Tina she is waiting with bated breath for your call. No I have not told her, ask her to come over, lets have a slumber party, and plan out our mission, what do you think?

Bette: Well you know I am all about getting Tina to spend the night with me.anyway I can. Bette grabs her cell phone.

Tina: (sleepy voice) Hello?
Bette: Hi baby did I wake you?
Tina: yea, I waited for your call, and then thought you must have fallen asleep. So what is up? You okay? Have you seen Alice, she is not here yet.

Bette: she is at our house baby, get your cute little ***** over here, we want to have a slumber party. You, me, Kit, Shane and Alice.

Tina: not Dana?

Bette: no, we need to help Alice with an issue she is having involving Dana. So you want me to come and pick you up?

Tina: Baby, I am already in bed, comfy. I would have to get dressed.

Bette: (interrupting) okay I will be there in 10 minutes. I love you. Bye baby

Tina smiled as she hung up the phone. Bette sounded good. I am smiling Tina gets out of bed and combs her hair and pulls on sweatpants and a sweatshirt. She waits for Bette. She looks at the clock 2:30 a.m. Are we crazy

Meanwhile, Alice has called Kit and Shane. They are going to have an old fashioned slumber party.

Bette pulls up to Alices, she sees Tina looking out the window. She gets out of the car and waves to her. Oh that smile, it is beginning to say we are us again thinks Bette. Tina bounced down the stairs, and jumps into Bettes arms, hi baby, I missed you. Bette swings her in her arms, and sets her down, and looks into her eyes, I have missed you too. Bette gives her a long passionate kiss. They start to drive towards their house. They pull up and see that Shane and Kit have already arrived.

Tina hugs Kit and Shane, and smiles at Alice. They all walk into the house.

Bette: okay Alice, spill it. Tell these people what they want to hear.

Bette was on the couch, Tina on the floor between her legs, she could feel Bettes fingers in her hair as she was talking.

Alice noticed them, smiled and began to fill them in on the Dana mission.

Everyone decided this was a mission they would accept. Tonya had to get OUT on the picture. They all thought that she defiantly killed Mr. Piddles. They mapped out the plan. Bette had never stopped stroking Tinas hair. They began to yawn.

Tina looked at the clock. It was 4:30, everyone was nodding off. Bette got off the couch, and held her hand out for Tina to take it. She helped Tina up.

Bette: Kit, you take the guest room. Shane you sleep on this couch. It is really comfortable now (winks at Tina) Alice, you take this couch. I will bring you guys some pillows and blankets.

Tina: Ahem.Bette, where would you like me?

Bette: oh yea, T. well, I am afraid all the sleeping spots are filled, but there is a little room in our bed, IF you trust me, you can stay there tonight,

Tina: Oh Bette you so planned this out. But, if our mission is to be successful, then I should get some sleep. Okay you win. I will sleep in there.

Bette smiled grabbed some covers and gave them to the girls, hugged Kit and took Tinas hand and walked into their bedroom.

Bette tossed a pair of Tinas favorite sleeping attire to her and undressed and put on her pjs. she did not realize at first, but could feel Tinas eyes on her, you are so beautiful, Bette
Bette walked over to her, she took off Tinas sweatshirt, and leaned down to kiss her bare breast. Bette looked back to Tina, as if asking permission. Tina looked at Bette and kissed her passionately.

Bette walked her towards the bed, never stopping the kiss, and laid her on the bed. Bette lay on top of her, and continued kissing her. Bette stopped, Tina looked at her as if she were crazy.

Tina: Bette what are you doing?

Bette: T, I have to tell you something. Tonight, I went back to the bar, to see if Alice was still there, I was sitting at the bar, thinking of you, and I heard Candace asking if I drank alone often. I told her no, and she asked me if I thought we had a chance, I told her no that you were my life, and I just wanted you to know. I want to be honest and open with you. Always. I have listened to what you have been saying, I want to be more open and honest with you. I want to be able to tell you anything, and want you to feel the same way.

Tina: Bette, wow, umm, I can not believe you told me. I am so proud of you. That took a lot of nerve. The way I have been, you never know what reaction I might have had. I am so very proud of you.

With that, she kissed Bette and pulled her on top of her.Bette moaned as she felt Tinas lips on her body. mmmmm .oh T., I have missed this so much, God, just feeling your skin against mine, mmmm, oh yea baby.

In the living room, the girls could hear Bettes moans, they looked at each other, and began to giggle, looks like our parents are working out their issues.
Tina: oh Bette, I want you so much. Please make love to me. I want to feel you. I want to taste you.

Bette: oh T. I want you too baby, God you are incredible. Just to feel you in my arms. I missed this so much. I want to make love to you, but I think we should wait. I want it to be special when it happens.

Tina: Oh God, Bette, how do you do it?
Bette looked at her with a question.
Tina: you can make me love more everyday, I am amazed with your power over me. I love you so much, and I see your love for me in your eyes, it is incredible. I realize now what was missing. This intimacy. Our connection. Perhaps all this was meant to happen. I feel so content, laying here, feeling your arms around me. I feel connected to you again baby.

Bette: I feel it too baby. I love you so much. Thank you for letting me hold you like this. It is better then *****. You are a part of me.

They lay in each others arms, finally sleep over took them and they fell asleep holding each other tightly.
