Mandy glanced at Tina from the corner of her eye. Nothing.

Then why do you keep looking at me? Tina buckled her safety belt, ready for takeoff on the airplane.

Oh, I dont know… Mandys voice trailed off.

Sighing, Tina said, Ok, just tell me what you want to know.

Where do I even start? Mandy laughed. First of all I should be angry at you for making us almost miss the flight because you forgot to set your alarm. The plane lifted off the ground. Likely story… Mandy mumbled.

Good. But dont worry, Im not really mad, just giving you a hard time.

I know. Tina said matter of factly.

Well, arent you sure of yourself? Must be a boost in self esteem. Anything happen that I should know about? Mandy smirked.

I guess its not every day you walk in your friends apartment to see her naked in bed with another woman.

I wouldve told you if it wasnt. Tina lowered her voice and looked around to see if anyone was listening before continuing. It was amazing!

Mandy gave Tina a look to tell her to keep going.

It was like a breath of fresh air, a little piece of heaven and last night every thing seemed to finally make sense, all the pieces of my life just… fit. Tina sighed and leaned back in her seat.

Wow. Mandy let out a long breath.

Women are beautiful creatures. I dont think I could ever go back to men. And I never knew I could be such a sexual person. I cant wait to be back in Bettes arms.

Well you have four days to wait. Mandy looked at Tina. What about your parents? Are you going to tell them?

Tina gave Mandy a weak smile and shrugged. What do you think I should do?

Its going to be hard. I dont know how theyll take it. Guess well find out.

Mandy didnt say anything. She knew that Tina would be telling her parents and decided to let it rest at that. Tina fell asleep within minutes and Mandy closed her eyes as well.


Bette rolled over on the bed, waking up and fell onto the hard ground. She opened her eyes and looked around, confused as to where she was as she rubbed her aching hip. She climbed back into Tinas double bed and reminded herself to have Tina stay at her place where a queen size bed could accompany them. How in the ***** did we fit in this bed all night?

Realizing that Tina left long ago and actually had probably landed in Cleveland by now, Bette gathered her clothes from the floor and dressed. She grabbed Tinas shirt and breathed it in, closing her eyes, falling back onto the bed. Bette felt like a teenager again in love for the first time. How would she last for four days without Tina? Smelling the sheets brought back memories from the night before. Grinning, Bette thought of Tinas beautiful body naked and aroused. She promised herself that next time it would be longer instead of jumping each other like wild animals. She couldnt wait to savor every inch of Tinas body over and over again. Sighing, she stood up and headed for the door after making the bed. Bette found a note by her keys.

Good morning. Miss me? I miss you and I havent even left my apartment yet. Ill call you tonight. Cant wait til we squeeze into each others arms again. Promise me that what we did last night, we can do without hesitation from now on… I cant get enough of you.

Bette folded the note and put it in her pocket after brushing it gently over her lips.

When Tina and Mandy landed at the airport, their parents were there waiting for them. As they left the airport, Mandy and Tina hugged goodbye, wishing each other a Merry Christmas. Mandy gave Tina an encouraging wink as the walked in opposite directions. Tinas heart raced as she sat in the car with her parents for the forty five minute drive home. Tinas sister greeted them at home and her parents were glad to have the whole family home. It didnt happen often. Christmas Eve everyone finished wrapping and Tina lounged around enjoying the comfort of home. Despite the happiness all around her, she felt heavy, holding in a secret. She couldnt hold it in any longer. Even though she wanted to wait until after Christmas to tell everyone, she couldnt wait another minute.

Walking into the kitchen she saw her mom and sister cooking desserts for the meal tomorrow and her dad was watching tv in the other room.

Tina, can you open the window? Its roasting in here. Her mother wiped sweat off her forehead. Opening the window, Tina saw snow softly floating to the ground.

Oh my! Its snowing! Tinas sister shouted.

I need to talk to all of you about something. Tina held a serious tone.

Can it wait until after Julie and I are finished in the kitchen? Her mother asked.

No, actually it cant. Please just come and sit in here with dad and let me say this. Tina pleaded.

You didnt kill anyone or anything did you? Julie asked, smiling.

No. Tina didnt smile back and Julie knew something was up, so she skooted her mother into the family room where Tina turned off the tv and sat in the middle of the floor so they all were facing her.

Ok, were all ears. What is it? Tinas dad asked, concern in his brown eyes.

This might be a shock to all of you but I need to tell you because I dont want to hide and I cant keep this secret. I want you all to know. She took a deep breath before continuing. Mom, dad, Julie… Im seeing someone. Her mothers eyes lit up immediately. Dont get excited yet mom. Its not what you think… her name is Bette.
