Bette and Tinas Living room.

Okay Kathys asleep so now, Alice, Marina, how? And when? Tina asked.

Since October I was writing an article and Marina was closing up the planet around me and then she sat down opposite me and started reading, well I just noticed her looking so relaxed, so gorgeous. Alice stopped and began to blush at the looks of her friends.

Marina care to add anything? Bette asked trying to look innocent and not laugh.

Umm, I was just very relaxed and didnt notice Alice was looking at me until I realised her laptop keys werent clacking away anymore. So I looked up and she was just sat there looking at me, it was a little weird to be honest.

Hey! Alice cut in feeling annoyed. Its your fault; you shouldnt be so damn hot.

Ok, so as I was saying, Alice was staring at me and then she stood up walked over to me, took my book Marina smirked remembering how annoyed shed been – she had been quite engrossed with that book up until then. And then she kissed me.

After which I had some lovely incoherent drabble, which actually reminded me of Bette first thing in the morning Alice pushed on quickly when she realised that this wasnt the best notation to make when Bette was happy playing The Brady Bunch Game as Alice had dubbed it. Then when Marina regained control of her tongue, she kissed me and, as they say; the rest is history.

Wow do you guys know how much weve changed in 7 and a half months? Shane asked.

A lot. Dana supplied.

Yeah I mean everything thats happened in those seven and a half months Shane tried again. Like yours and Danes commitment ceremony Beth.

And LAs ***** – Casanova becoming tied down? Tina suggested, referring to Shane and Jess who were still seeing each other.

Yes, but admittedly it hasnt all been good, well until we got to see the end result. Marina chipped in.

Tina relaxed into the couch and remembered that night in May, shed been at home and was watching TV when she got a call from Beth who sounded upset and it took Tina ten minutes to work out that Bette had been in a car crash. Tina waited for Dana out side, Beth had thought to call her – she didnt want Tina driving when she was this upset, she could only imagine what Bette would do to her when she came round. Bette had spent two days in a coma like state due to the sedatives they gave her when they were bringing her in. Bette had only suffered minor injuries despite her Saab being totalled. Tina could quite clearly remember being torn between wanting to choke Bette and kiss her when she came round. Bette told Tina how shed swerved to avoid a cyclist and hit some road works.

Tears came to Tinas eyes remembering those two days in which she felt that shed lost Bette, her world, forever. Noticing this Bette pulled Tina into a hug and they watched their other friends, focusing on Dana and Beth, whom after a lovely commitment ceremony – in march, had suffered a blow that threatened to set their relationship back months and see the two of them change, for the worse.

Beth had been attacked in the February, a week after Valentines Day. Beth had been given a medical examination and was told she had only suffered minor bruises and injuries, but in the March when Beth was throwing up on average of about six times a day she used her initiative and commandeered a pregnancy test – one good thing about a hospital, you didnt have to say they were for you, you could easily say it was for a patient. When the result came back positive Beth called Dana and asked her to meet her outside the hospital after she signed her self off sick for the rest of the day.

At home Beth sat and told Dana who was initially shocked and then within minutes of each other it seemed that they both realised there was a 3rd party involved in this. Beth and Dana had spent hours debating what they were going to do; Beths most pressing factor was how Dana was feeling about the conception, which was Danas main worry too. After losing a nights sleep they booked a scan at the hospital, after Beths explanation a midwife shed become friends with squeezed her in. When the pregnancy was confirmed Beth and Dana had first told Shane and Jess. And then they told everyone else at the Planet that afternoon – Bette had taken a day off to try and get the nursery ready. The first signs of relief showed when Alice hugged both of them; their worries had shifted into their concerns about their friends reactions.

Beth and Dana were now both sat on the floor each with a hand on Beths stomach, it seemed once the pregnancy was confirmed Beth had taken to eating for two quite literally, and had quickly lost what Jess mum had dubbed her ironing board abs.

Alice and Marina were enjoying being able to be intimate in front of their friends. Bette was initially surprised at Marina and Alice, but they did seem to be genuinely in love and by the colour Marinas cheeks were turning due to Alices whisperinghad an active ***** life.

Alice this is family viewing lets keep it clean please! Bette yelled startling everyone including Alice.

Bette I just bit my tongue thank – you very much. Alice hadnt been being as dirty as she could have been

What the ***** were you doing Al; I thought you were whispering Shane asked.

I was whispering I was licking my lips whilst I was thinking Alice trailed off.

Well Al, you must have been good, I mean look at Marinas cheeks; theyre crimson. Jess teased. Despite being the youngest shed found it remarkably easily to settle in and soon found out that there wasnt a limit to what was and wasnt talked about. She was also thankful that shed inherited her aunts filthy mind. Well at least her parents blamed it on Beth

That night, Beth and Danas.

Hey are you ok Dane?

Yeah Im fine Beth I was just thinking; in two months well have our own baby. Dana answered.

I know; Dana are you as scared as I am? Beth was worried about the birth, bringing up the baby, not bonding with the baby

Yeah, Im terrified. Dana gave a nervous smile afterwards.

Do you think that were going to do ok?

Yeah, I mean we arent going to be perfect, but at least what ever we feel worried about we can call Bette and Tina they will have been through it already.

True. Beth contemplated this.

Are you sure youre not going to call your family? Dana was anxious, her family hadnt said if they were bothered either way and they hadnt turned up for the commitment ceremony. Beth hadnt wanted to tell hers and her feelings were the same about her pregnancy.

Positive, Ill call them after the birth. Beth thankfully (in her opinion) didnt mention how long after the birth she would call them.

Okay. Dana lent over and kissed Beth, who was already half asleep.
