Ch 10

Bette was at the CAC when Alice called her and asked her about her plans for the night, it was Friday and Bette was dreading the weekend on her own, since Kit moved in with her she has been a lot happier but Kit was away for the whole week and will be back on Monday.
Bette: Oh hello Alice, whats up?
Alice: Bette what are you doing tonight?
Bette: Nothing special, Kit is away and I have nothing to do but eat and go to sleep.
Alice: Oh Bette that is boring, you can do better, why dont you come out with the girls and me, we are all celebrating Danas new big contract?
Bette: Come out where? Where are you going?
Alice: Well I know you dont like this but we are going to a nightclub.
Bette: Alice I have not been to nightclub since Ti since Tinas left.
Alice: Oh Bette please come with us I am sure you are going to enjoy yourself, we all well.
Bette thought about this was she ready to venture out into the night again she surly would not be looking for anything or anyone.
Bette: Yes Alice what the ***** I will come out with you tonight?
Alice: Yah great we are hiring a Limo for the night so well swing by your house say 8 oclock is that ok with you? Bette was exited now a Limo!
Bette: Fine I will be ready, see you then, and Alice thank you for thinking of me.
Alice: Hay no problem girl see you later?
Bette was actually happy she wanted to have some fun she wanted to go out even if she wasnt looking she could dance and drink with the girls and chill out. She finished what she had in her hand and left for home to get ready of the night. Just before 8 the bell rang she grabbed her handbag, looked in the mirror for a last check and reassurance and said I love you Tina. She got into the taxi and there was Shane, Dana, Marina, and of course Alice, they have already opened a bottle of Champaign and their glasses were full.
Alice: Come on in girl sit here next to me, now would you like a glass of Champaign or orange juice, only we know that you dont drink so we stocked with all kinds?
Bette: Well tonight I am going to have a real drink since its Danas good news, congratulation Dana I am happy for you.
Dana: Thanks Bette, and thank you for coming out with us you will not regret it.
Bette: I hope so, what are you up to?
The girls looked at each others and smirked they obviously had a plan. The Limo drove them to their destination and the party started there. They arrived at the door of this dark and dingy place and when they got in it was like an oasis in the middle of the desert. The place was very classy and had a unique look. It was comfortable and inviting and the music was good. The girls followed Al she choose a place to fit them all and probably some more.
Bette: This is great Al where did you find this place? Yah Alice, it is nice where did you find it? said the other girls. Alice was very pleased with herself she knew the girls would love this place especially Bette.
Alice: Never mind you just set and enjoy it, you know the first drink is on the house so dont be ashamed to order girls just turn on the light in the middle of the table and waitress will be here in a minute, this is the system in here. The girls laughed they could not believe what Alice was saying but they found out soon enough when the waitress was standing next to their table and taking the orders. The music was drawing them to the dance floor Shane, Marina and Dana got up and went to dance, Alice asked Bette to dance with her and join the others but Bette was not ready yet, she just wanted to sit and watch for a while. Alice joined all the rest and soon enough the dance floor was full. Bette was feeling warm and the Champaign started to do its magic on her. She was ready to dance and to have fun and yes she wanted to dance too when Al grabbed her hand and pulled her to the dance floor she could not resist she wanted to lose herself on the dance floor tonight she wanted to feel good and happy again. She was dancing the night out when her eyes met the eyes of an exotic creature that was sitting opposite to where she was dancing now. She could not move her eyes away and her heart started to beat faster. She was very drawn to this woman what is it about her? Bette could not bring herself to go over to her. The girls noticed what was happening especially Alice and they started to put their plans into action. They moved over and encircled Bette dancing around her and moving her out of the dance floor towards where the woman was sitting. Al pulled Bettes hand and asked the others to follow; they got off the dance floor and made a beeline for the place where Bette rested her eyes. To be continued
