Tabitha stared into the dark eyes, smiling for a moment before having her lips covered by Shanes. Instantly they were engulfed in a passion only meant for late night night Tv. But neither cared, neither even noticed the glances or comments that were being projected in their direction. The only thing they noticed was each other and their burgeoning love, bathed in a light which only their eyes could see. They parted; breathing unsteady, eyes clouded with desire.

I think I need to start questioning your powers of persuasion.

Shane smiled, brushing her lips over Tabithas, sending a shiver through the defenceless woman’s body.

No you dont. she whispered, immediately pressing her lips against Tabitha’s again.

Tabitha let out the smallest of whimpers as her arm snaked around Shane and pulled her closer, the kisses rising dramatically in desperation. Both women were lost for what seemed like an eternity, caught up in their own world of passion filled lust which threatened to spiral out of control into a place of no return. It all seemed so unreal to Tabitha, never had she felt so drawn to one person before. Her original concept of keeping her distance from Shane and not letting herself become too involved, had well and truly gone out the window. Now when ever they were together everything else was back lit to the incessant onslaught of touching and kissing which neither women could deny. Never going far enough but leaving the tempting taste of possibility deep within their bodies, eating away at their resolve and leaving them weak and unable to say no.

Shane pulled away, her lips red from the onrush of blood and her eyes darkened and looking straight into Tabithas. Tabitha could feel the heat from Shanes stare, she knew exactly what the brunette was thinking: they definitely needed to get a room, and fast!

Dane, why didnt you invite Lara, we could of had a competition.

Shane gave Tabitha a wink and settled back into the seat. Tabitha snuggled up against her, encircling her small waist and playing with the hem on Shanes t-shirt with Shanes arm lay protectively across Tabithas shoulders, they certainly qualified as a couple now. This however did nothing to help Shanes concentration, she tried to ignore the slender fingers fiddling absently with her clothing and the warm body pressed innocently against her own long enough to notice Danas dispirited mood.

Its nothing, Laras working a lot and I never get to see you guys. In fact where is Alice? I haven’t seen her all night. Dana asked, looking round desperately for her absent friend.

Shane watched Dana, her brow furrowed in confusion. There was something she just couldn’t seem to put her finger on. A thought which tiptoed around her mind when ever she was around Dana or Alice, a certain unsaid connection which only she had picked up on.

Shane? a quiet voice whispered into her ear.

Whats the deal with Dana and Alice?

Shane turned so she could look at Tabitha, the words said out loud confirmed her own suspicions. She couldnt believe that Tabitha had been thinking exactly the same thing, but with no prior knowledge of Alice and Danas friendship it was easier to see what could be going on, underneath the surface.

Unable to hold back the smile which Tabitha was always able to induce in Shane, they gazed into each others eyes, flirting.

What do you mean, theyre just good mates.

Tabitha shrugged and leant back into Shane.

Oh I thought something had happened between those two or something, my mistake.

The two women watched Dana as she sat; looking around anxiously, spotted Alice and then returned her moody glance to twiddle with the umbrella in her drink.

A silent agreement passed between Tabitha and Shane.

Do you really think so? Shane whispered.

I dont see why not.

Tabitha bit her bottom lip with excitement, it had been far too long since she had had a chance to match make any one together. She nodded at Shane, her eyes drifting down to the brunette’s lips. Shane leant forward and captured her lips tenderly, unable to resist such a sultry look directed her way. Giving Tabithas lip a little nibble before settling back down to involve Dana in the conversation again.

Hey Dane, you know where Al is?

Dana nodded, her finger pointed towards the bar. Shane and Tabithas eyes followed the direction which Danas finger inclined. At the bar stood Alice, laughing and flirting with a slightly taller woman which had her back to the group. The woman was slim and wore trendy clothes, also sporting a very modern, blond mohawk.

Tabitha was frozen, a gradual build up of tense feeling in her stomach was threatening to burst out of her mouth. She knew the woman talking to Alice, and she knew she had to get her as far away from her new friends as possible.

Shane noticed the change in Tabithas mood and looked at the woman questioningly.
Tabs, are you ok?

Tabitha couldnt tear her eyes away, she blinked hoping that it was all just a figment of her imagination. Shane followed her gaze and tugged on Tabithas sleeve impatiently.

Do you know her Tabby? Look at me.

She turned to Shane, unable to hide the shock from her eyes. She couldn’t let this woman talk to Alice and especially not to Shane. She knew everything about Tabitha, they had lived down the road from one another in England and practically grown up together. Having grown up in such a small village where the expression ***** was still used as an alternative to happiness, they ended up experiencing a lot together and consequently got to know each other very well. However this all changed when they fell out after this woman decided to inform Tabithas parents about her sexuality and numerous strings of lies about how Tabitha had influenced her and misled her in their friendship. She was one of the many skeletons in Tabithas closet that always seemed to appear just as she was getting her life back on track.

Yeah I know her. Tabitha said quietly, meeting Shanes eyes seriously. Shes trouble Shane.
