    Seeing things as they are instead of how you wish they were.

    Tina: Babe what is it? Let me see the painting.
    Bette: No T, you dont need to see it.
    Tina: Bette dont shut me out”not now I need to know whats going on.
    Bette: Tina baby, you need to stay stress-free for your health and the health of our family. I will tell you this. The ***** Simone has shown just how crazy she is. At first it was just a suspicion, but with this, she has put any doubts to rest. How can she be this bold and crazy?
    Kit: Bette you dont have to work with her do you?
    Bette: After I tell the board about this stunt”hopefully not. But Kit at this point its not about working with her. This woman is crazy. (whispering) Im kind of getting scared.

    Alice and Dana got up to look at the painting and looked on in horror while Tina decided to adhere to Bettes request and not look. ***** she still felt guilty about allowing Simone to interfere with their marriage by kissing her. At this point Tina didnt feel like she should argue with Bette about anything as it related to Simone. How could she? Bette walked over and put a reassuring arm around Tina and smiled weakly at her before she decided she had to do something.

    Bette excused herself from the room and called James.

    James: Hello
    Bette: (upset) Hey James I know its getting pretty late but Im wondering if you could do two things for me?
    James: Anything
    Bette: Call a meeting with Franklin and Zandra first thing Monday. Call them at home if you have to. I know its the weekend but this is important.
    James: Done andyou said two things. Whats the second?
    Bette: A thorough background check on Simone Lennox.
    James: OK we definitely need to do that—actually this may be overdue.
    Bette: Tell me about it.
    James: (worried) Did she do something?
    Bette: (choking back tears) Yeah, James, yes she did. Shes threatened my whole world”my life in a not so subtle way.
    James: Oh Bette what did she do? Maybe you should just call the police.
    Bette: James I cant talk about it right now. Youll see Monday. Besides Im not sure if theres much the police can do about someone sending a gift basket.
    James: A gift basket”what?
    Bette: Youll get the details Monday.
    James: Ok, ok and boss; well know a lot more about her Monday after the background check too. Hang in there okay?
    Bette: Thanks James.

    2. Tamara, another amazing update….There is so much potential for drama in this story and you bring out just the right amount each time……I LOVE IT!! Extremely well written and well told….I’m feeling sorry for Shane, but she needs to back off and get her own life……And i really hope Simone doesn’t physically hurt any of them….but i will trust all these lovely ladies, in your more than capable hands……………..     4. Guess Bette needs to get a watch dog. Shane,Alice,Kit and Dana. Don’t leave Tina by herself. Simone is crazy. Maybe she has bugged the house? Unstable people does funny thing.     7. so i’m wondering if little shane is going to have a talking to with psycho bit**…and i’m with everyone else…shane needs to step-off…i bet simone has a record…please continue…

    8. Hmmm… many interesting stuffs going on here Tamara and the gift basket thing up the tension in my opinion. This line here “Bette allowed herself to fall into Shane’s embrace” I wonder if I’m reading too much into this. I should think a new “leveled Bette” should learn that Tina is the one she needs to be open to I should think this new “leveled Bette” learn from her past mistakes. This made me think of the old Bette, trying to be strong thinking she can fix everything but instead shutting herself out from people that matters most to her. On the other hand I like the way you stretch Shane’s inner struggle it shows depth characters wise for Shane. Lets see how crazy Simone gets from here on LOL. Love this new development, thanks for this up-date!

      To understand the strength that comes from the realization of one’s weakness takes practice everyday. The fact that one can’t get it perfect at all times is part of the strength. Fitting into new shoes requires time.
