Alice rolled onto her back. She yawned loudly before kicking her legs off the bed and walking to the bathroom, stretching on her way there.

She hit the play button and made her way to the toilet.

Alice stared at her reflection in the mirror as she washed her hands.

God my eyes are puffy.

She ran over to the machine and hit replay.

She hit replay one more time.

Alice jumped at the sound of a knock on the door. She shook her head slightly to wake herself up more before making her way to the door.

Alice, open the door! Please!

The whispered sound of Danas voice on the other side of the door made Alices heart skip a beat.

Jesus, this girl is going to be the end of me.

Alice hurried to the door and opened it. She had it opened only half way when Dana burst through, pinned her up against the wall and kissed her passionately at first but then downed the intensity of the kiss to a more softer, loving one.

Im so sorry Al. I screwed up. Forgive me?

Dana looked at Alice with pleading eyes. Their faces, their lips only inches from each other. Alice stared intently at Dana, torn between wanting to trust Dana with her heart and being fearful of getting hurt again.

Alice?

Dana took a hesitant step back.

Shes gone.

Alice caught her breath.

Dana wanted badly to interject Alices rambling but instead let her finish before she calmly explained to Alice what she had meant and why she was there.

Alice slowly exhaled.

Alice shook her head yet again before slowly reaching up to close the door behind Dana, who just stood there waiting for an answer.

Dana was unsure of what to expect. She made her way to the couch and sat down. Alice looked at her.

Umm yeah, sure thing.

Dana just sat there while Alice ran into her bedroom, only to emerge 5 minutes later. Alice slowly walked up to Dana and held out her hand. Dana’s uncertainty was slightly lifting as she took hold off Alices hand.

Alice led Dana into her bedroom. In the five minutes she was gone she managed to create a romantic ambiance to the room just by lighting some candles, playing some soft music and turning off the lights. Alice turned to Dana and pulled her in closer.

Dane, I know weve still got a lot to talk about but not tonight. Tonight

She softly kissed Dana.
