    Soul Harvest: Chapter 56

Two months had passed since Adams unfortunate death and Tina was meeting Alice out. It was a Saturday morning and they grabbed breakfast on the go to head towards a tennis court.

She can really tear it up out there? Have you seen her play before? Alice was amazed at the woman on the court.

No, I havent, but shes good. Maybe shell be famous some day. Tina joked.

Alice didnt smile. No joke, she totally could.

Tina grinned and Alice took a sip of iced coffee. It was a hot August day and it was rare to see Tina away from her job. Lately it seemed she was taking on more than she could handle. Bette had kept Alice updated on how Tina was doing since the funeral and she was apparently surviving. Bette had said that her grief was overlooked due to the responsibility she felt for taking care of her sister and Mandy. Bette had been afraid Tina would break down and her fears proved true after a month. Tina had a minor breakdown, mostly from exhaustion. She was so caught up in taking care of Mandy that she neglected herself. Bette saw it coming but took a few steps back, letting Tina fall hard on her own so that she could want to pull herself back up. Tina finally realized she needed to go on with her life and she encouraged Mandy to do the same.

Now, Tina was up for a promotion and worked so hard that her friends rarely saw her, including Bette. Alice took pride in the fact that Tina was spending time with her, especially since Bette wasnt with them. She truly enjoyed Tinas friendship.

A sweaty muscular young woman jogged over to them, wiping perspiration off her forehead.

    Hey Alice. Hi Tina.

Dana, you are awesome! Im sorry Ive never come to your games but I think I might have to now. Tina said.

Im the true fan. Dana, Ive known from the get go how awesome you are. Alice smugly replied.

Dana smiled and took a drink of water. Its nice to have two fans.
