Wait guys! Alice called after them. She pulled something out of her purse and handed both a pair of sunglasses. Youll need these so put them on.

What the *****? Shane asked as Andie put on hers and then tugged Shane over to the main singing bed, which had an iron bedpost. Shane jumped onto the bed, wobbling a little, but catching herself and then offering Andie her hand to help her up onto the bed. Andie took her hand and climbed onto the bed, they both stood on the bed. Shane looked out over the different beds glad that she didnt know anyone else except for her friends. She took a big breath then nodded to the karaoke D.J. Shane swallowed hard and then waited for the big monitor in front of them to list what they were going to song. The other girls were cheering for them and then busted out laughing when they saw the title of the song. Andie laughed hard and almost fell off of the bed, but then she regained her composure.

The title read, Rawhide from the Blues Brothers movie.

***** me. Shane said to her as the music cued up and began to play.

She followed the words on the monitor. Andie began to bend her knees, lifting her body up and down to the beat.

Shane sang out in a deep voice that cracked every now and then. It wasnt terrible, but it definitely wasnt good.

Rollin rollin rollin, Though the streams are swollen, Keep them doggies rolling, Rawhide, Rain and wind and weather, ***** bent for leather, Wishing my girl was by my side, All the things Im missin, Good victuals, love and kissin, Are waiting at the end of my ride. Shane sang louder and began to get into it, grabbing Andie when the song said wishing my girl was by my side. All of the women were screaming and clapping. Andie sang her part as if she was John Belushi.

A few shots later all of the other women had gotten up the guts to sing several times. Alice sang Like a Virgin. She rolled around on the bed and sang loudly causing several people to throw out catcalls. Dana, Alice and Shane sang Its Raining Men. A song that Andie and Zo had picked out for them. Dana got so into the song that she fell off the bed creating even more screams and hoots. Bette sang Tell Me Something Good by Chaka Kahn with Dana. Bette had been surprisingly good. Swaying her hips with the music. Jenny decided to sing a little Britney Spears “Ooops I Did It Again”, this made Andie roll with laughter because Jenny was trying to do a little Britney dance on the bed. But she was failing miserably. By the time that Alice and Andie had gotten up to sing American Woman all, but Andie and Tonya were drunk, but were now drinking water to keep hydrated. Shane sat back on the sofa bed watching Alice and Andie sing, Tarin sat next to her and laughed and clapped for the girls. Shane soon got up and went to the restrooms telling the other girls that she would be right back.

In the empty restroom, Shane stared at herself in the mirror and then splashed cool water onto her extremely hot face. When she looked back into the mirror, she saw Tarin standing behind her. She almost jumped.

You feeling ok? Tarin asked stepping closer to Shane.

Oh yeah, just hot. Shane said uncomfortably and then turned around to face Tarin.

Im amazed that Andie actually has a relationship. With her band taking off and everything else. She never was very good at keeping relationships. Of course, except for the one with Zo. Tarin looked into the mirror and fixed her hair a bit. Shane just stared at her.

They had this big fling for years. I think they even loved each other. Im sure you know all about that stuff though. Tarin looked at Shane in the mirror. Shane shook her head.

Its over though. She wouldnt have a relationship with you if it werent. Tarin seemed to be talking as if she was concerned.

Im sure. Shane said, trying to shake the fogginess from her head. Tarin walked closer to her. Shane watched her.

Shane do you think Im attractive? Tarin asked standing close to Shane. She ran a hand down one Shanes arms.

Shane said nothing she just nodded. Tarin smiled and leaned in and kissed Shane hungrily. Shane didnt kiss her back, but soon gave in and kissed Tarin back. Shane finally realized what she was doing and pushed Tarin away from her.

I cant do that Shane said. Tarin put her hands on her hips.

You just did and I think you wanted to. Tarin watched Shane closely.

No I didnt. Im just fucked up. Shane said her stomach turning. I wouldnt do that to AndieI.. I..lo..care for her too much.

Obviously not too much. Tarin said annoyed and walked out of the restroom. Shane followed her out of the rest room, but then began to feel sick. Shane hurried back to the bathroom and splashed cold water on her face again. She closed her eyes and tried to forget what had just happened.

She came back out of the bathroom and looked up to see Andie and Zo singing I Alone by Live. The others were still having a good time. Shane sat next to Alice who was complaining.

Thats not fair they sound good together. Theyre professionals! Alice yelled out.

Oh shut up trollop. Andie said from the bed.

After the song, they all sat down on the two beds. Their drunks slowly winding down.

I think its time to go home. Bette said taking a gulp of her water.
“I think I’m gonna grab a cab home,” Jenny belched and then hiccuped.
Yeah, Im wrecked. Shane said smiling at Andie and leaning her head on Andies shoulder. Tarin watched carefully, smirking to herself.

Andie dropped off Zo and Tarin at Dariuss. Shane had sunk low in her seat, her feet resting on the dashboard. Tarin and Zo watched them drive off. Zo stood with her arms crossed over her chest. She sighed and then looked at Tarin, who was smiling after the car. The smile fell when she started towards the house and noticed Zo staring at her.

What? Tarin asked.

What the ***** do you think youre doing? Zo stepped in Tarins way so she wouldnt be able to get away.

Tarin looked offended, her accent coming out stronger, What are you talking about Zo?

Okay, Ill just be blunt. You have a track record of taking everyone elses girlfriends. The number one example is Alice and Tayo. Stop pulling Shane into whatever it is you do. You know all the stares and *****. Zo was trying hard to stay focused even though she was drunk.

Im not the one you should be worried about. She is looking at me just as much as I was looking at her. Tarin smirked.

Let me just put it this way. It has taken Andie a ***** of a lot to let go her fears. She is finally letting herself be with someone. Its the same for Shane and while you are my friend. Andie is like family. If anyone ***** with my family. Well, then lets just say I hope that they have health insurance. Zo looked at Tarin intensely. All right, Ill see you tomorrow.

Tarin raised her eyebrow and watched Zo walk down the street. She let out a breath and shook her head, You just made things a whole lot more interesting for me, my little friend.

The car ride to Bettes was an adventure. Bette, Alice and Dana sang all the way to Bettes house, annoying the ***** out of Tonya. When they had dropped off Bette, the car had become completely silent.

All righty, it was fun ladies. Good night. Alice said stumbling out of the car and up to her apartment.

Tonya didnt drive away; she turned off the car and stared forward. Dana finally realized that they werent moving she glanced at Tonya.

We can go now. Dana said.

Tonya looked down and then at Dana.

Dana, go up to her. Tonya whispered.

Dana looked confused.

What are you tal Dana started.

I know you two want each other. Tonya continued. Its obvious. Ive been waiting for you to tell me. Im okay, just go up there and Ill go to your place and get my stuff.

Dana looked at Tonya, unable to say anything. Tears fell down Tonyas cheeks. While tears filled the corners of Danas eyes, but then Tonya took a deep breath and smiled softly at Dana.

You better get going. Tonya patted Danas hand and moved the hand to open up palm first. Tonya placed the engagement ring into Danas palm.

Dana nodded and slipped out of the car then turned around to look at Tonya.

Im sorry Tonya. Dana said sadly.

Tonya smiled again and waved slightly. She drove off with Dana watching after her. Dana looked up at Alices windows and saw the light still on.
