After burn Chapter 4: Instructions
“Get B and T back together? How exactly do we do that?” Dana questioned. “I mean are they even talking to each other?
Alice looked at her glumly and shook her head. “Well no, I don’t think so, I don’t think Tina would want that… not after…” Alice’s voice trailed off.
“Not after what?”
“Nothing…”
Dana raises a brow and crosses her arms, “It doesn’t sound like nothing Al.”
Alice gave Dana a long and serious look. Dana didn’t flinch; she wanted to hear whatever it was that Alice had to say. She wanted to know the truth and although she knew that it took a lot of courage for Tina to say what she just did a few minutes ago, she couldn’t help but think that Tina was holding something back from her and Shane.
“Uh…” Alice started, “*****, there’s no easy way to say this…”
“Spit it out Al!”
“Okay fine! Jesus you’re so god damn pushy! Bette cheated on her! There, happy? Alice said exasperatedly.
Dana fell quiet, she couldn’t look Alice in the eye, tears were welling in her eyes but she was determined not to cry in front of Alice.
“Great! What’s wrong now?” Alice asked, feeling a bit annoyed that Dana managed to squeeze the truth out of her.
“Al, I don’t think I can marry Tonya.”

Tina stared out of Shane’s car window as Shane tried to find a decent station for them to listen to. Tina watched outside as the cars, which passed them, blurred in the background, not really paying much attention to anything else.
“You feeling any better?” Shane asked, still not sure how she what to do around Tina.
“Yeah a little.” Tina replied half-heartedly.
Unbeknownst to Shane, Tina was actually thinking of throwing herself off a cliff. Memories of Bette had flooded her head, everything from Bette’s laugh, to the way her lips felt on hers. She knew she was still in love with Bette, she didn’t doubt that for a second, in fact if she knew anything for sure it was that she loved Bette. But was that a good thing?
Shane watched the torn expression lingering on Tina’s face, and decided to break the awkwardness between the two of them.
“Okay so I’m dropping you off at Alice’s right?”
“Actually Shane can you take me somewhere else?”
“Yeah, yeah of course.”

Bette was lying on the couch. Kit had already left, and after what had just happened between them she felt emotionally exhausted.
The door suddenly swung open, “Baby? Are you here?” A familiar voice echoed through the living room.
Bette immediately struggled to sit herself upright. “T?”
“Yeah, can you help me with this?” Tina said smiling at Bette, pulling a big box behind her.
“Sure. What is it? Bette asked still surprised to see Tina there.
“See for yourself.” Tina said warmly.
Bette walked over to Tina and wrapped her hands around Tina’s waist, giving Tina a deep, hungry kiss. Tina playfully broke the kiss, searching Bette’s eyes, blushing slightly.
“What was that for?”
“Everything…” Bette answered.
Tina chuckled,”Baby I have to make a call, I’ll be right back.” Tina said giving Bette a little peck on the cheek and walked toward the kitchen.
Bette was so happy to see Tina there that she completely forgot about the big box that Tina was trying to lug inside the house. Bette moved closer and tried to examine the box, she smiled as she realized what it was.
“A crib? You bought a crib without me?” Bette yelled, sounding slightly disappointment.
“Yes…” Tina said, covering the phone receiver. “But baby you told me to buy it today… you picked it out with me a week ago remember?”
“Oh…” Bette said, feeling a bit confused.
“Anyway the man at the store said that we would have to do a bit of the assembly ourselves…” Tina continued, “he taped the instructions there somewhere…” Tina stopped speaking; Bette assumed that the person Tina was calling finally picked up.
Bette smiled and started looking for the instructions but couldn’t find them. “T, I can’t find them…”
There was no response. “Tina? Tina?”

“You sure about this?” Shane asked.
“Yes Shane I am…” Tina answered a bit shakily.
“Anyway she’s not here, her car isn’t in the driveway.” Tina said.
“Okay take all the time you need, I’ll just wait for you here.”
Tina walked into her house, the house that she considered her home for the past 7 years. She entered the house feeling a bit uneasy even though she knew Bette wouldn’t be in there, waiting for her. She started looking around knowing that nothing will ever be the same again. A wash of memories filled her mind. She passed through the hallway, and made her way down to the living room. She felt her heart stop as she saw Bette sleeping peacefully on the couch. Kit must’ve borrowed the car.’ she thought.
Tina tried with all her might not to, but she couldn’t resist coming closer toward Bette. ‘I guess she’s always had that effect on Me.’ she reminded herself. She knelt closer to Bette, pushing aside stray locks of Bette’s hair away from her face, thinking of how beautiful Bette was. God what am I doing?’ she thought.
“Tina?” Bette called out, softly at first, startling Tina. Bette persisted on calling her, not really knowing that Tina was right there, beside her. “Tina?” she continued, her voice sounding more and more urgent.
“Bette…” Tina said, realizing that Bette was just dreaming and that she was probably in it.
Bette woke up completely bewildered. The person she was looking for was right in front of her.
“Tina I”” Bette said looking completely lost, expecting Tina to turn away from her at any minute.
“Shh… breathe Bette… you just had a dream that’s all.” Tina said out of instinct, her voice was full of warmth, just like the one Bette heard in her dream. Tina came closer tucking a strand of hair behind Bette’s ear.
“Yeah I guess I did.” Bette took possession of Tina’s hand before she could take it away, closing her eyes as she gently guided Tina’s hand from her ear to her face. Tina sighed as Bette leaned in a little closer to her, taking her in for a long, passionate kiss.

This seems to easy. You have some drama lurking around a corner somewhere in ours and B/T furture.
You did a great job Angel, really good story. I love the cute banter between Alice and Dana. And the part with Bette and Tina is so sweet, and yet so sad. Can’t wait to see how it all works out.
ah, i like.
So sad since these two have always had such intense passion and love for each other…it just got lost.
omg i love it!! i hope Tina and Bette get back together!
it’s so cute… Bette and Tina back together…what’s more important? Nice job “Callmecrazy”, really! Please…carry on!
