I cant believe you did this to me!! Alice said looking around. The pristine hallway looking endlessly ahead of them.

“What?…I did nothing!…”

Stopping her track, pointing her face, Alice waved her hands in the air, making Dana jump because of the cuffs

“You said strawberry!!” Dana pouted, following Alices pace.

“I know…I know…” Alice mumbled, trying to hide her face with the t-shirt

“I didnt know Al… I…”

“I know, I know…where the ***** is the ER in this hospital?” She asked, losing her patient, unaware of how some of the patients were looking at them.

“Al…wait!” Dana whispered, hoping to take Alices hands, trying to hide the cuffs.

“You feeling any better?”Tina asked, her concerned tone painting a weak smile on Bettes face. Breathing deeply, with the head back between her legs, seated on a chair, Bette was trying to come to life.

“Am good…am good…” Bette mumbled, hating herself for being so weak.

Looking up again, pale as a ghost, she added,

“Am sorry”

“Why?…you were great!…me on the other hand…next time you will do it!..” Tina said, locking her eyes with Bettes meaning every word she just said.

“Next time?” Whispered Bette, her eyebrow touching the ceiling. Taking Tinas hand, carefully caressing it trying not to mess with the IV, she asked.

“Where is the she?”

“The nurses are cleaning her…”

“Oh…”Bette nodded “…how you feel?,… you ok? “

Chuckling, noticing where Bette was looking at, knowing what she meant, Tina said,

“Yeah..am doing great…”

Closing her eyes, sighing deeply, she added,

“This drugs are great…”

Seeing Tinas yawn, Bette said,

“You should get some sleep..”

Nodding, Tina opened her eyes again.

“I want to see her first…”

Smiling, feeling as if fresh air was filling her lungs just by thinking about the baby, Bette whispered,

“We have a girl,,,”

“I told you it was a girl….” Tina whispered, locking her eyes with Bettes, loving the amazed look

“I know…”Whispered Bette standing up. Sitting on the bed at Tinas side, carefully, very tenderly, she leaned down. Resting her lips on Tinas she mumbled,

“Thank you”

Nodding, Tina smiled. Moving a little, she offered the bed to Bette.

“You sure?” Bette whispered, concerned.

Nodding, Tina patted the empty side of the bed. Carefully lying at Tinas side, Bette started caressing Tinas face. Her forehead, her temple, around her eyes?Closing the eyes, Tina let herself go with Bettes tenderness.
Caressing Tinas forehead again, sweetly playing with the hair, Bette suddenly realized something,

“Where are Alice and Dana?” she wondered.

Smiling, Tina opened the eyes to look at Bette. Chuckling, she shook the head rising an eyebrow

“What?…what did they do?” Bette asked noticing Tinas gesture.

“Its going to be a while till we see them again” Tina said, closing her eyes, loving Bettes caresses.

“Why?… What happened?” Bette whispered, not really waiting for an answer, getting lost in Tinas soft skin.Moving down to her bare arm Bette moved up back to her shoulder. Seeing her with her eyes closed, Bette felt her irresistible. Moving a bit closer, very carefully, trying not to harm her, Bette kissed her. Feeling Bettes kiss, Tina opened her eyes for a second. Then, closing them again, she felt her muscles relaxing while Morfeos soft arms started cradling her to sleep.

Breaking the kiss, Bette noticed Tinas stillness. Smiling, she realized she was asleep. Sighing, closing her eyes, she smiled just before falling asleep herself.

Seated in the waiting area, Alice tried to go unnoticed. Dana, seated at her side was trying to hide the cuffs as a little boy was staring at them.

“Al?” she mumbled, kicking Alice on the ribs.

Seeing that Alice was not paying attention to her, worried as she was trying to hide her face with the t-shirt, Dana tried again.

“Al!..” she said, her voice a bit louder.

“What?” mumbled Alice turning to look at her.

“I need to go to the bathroom” Dana whispered, crossing her legs.

Looking down at Danas legs, then up to her face, Alice said,

“You got to be kidding me!”

“Am not Al!…am serious!” cried Dana

Rolling her eyes, Alice sighed.

“Besides…”Dana added, nodding to the boy in the Lucky Luke costume.

“He is staring at us” she whispered

“So what?” Asked Alice, just before showing the boy her tongue.

“Al!” whispered Alice.

“What?…he shouldnt stare!” She said holding the boys look.

“I think he saw our cuffs” mumbled Dana pretending to look somewhere else

Nodding, realizing what was going on, Alice slowly leaned down, getting closer to the boy.

“You know.. she (pointing to Dana) was a bad girl… so I will have to lock her up and throw the key…” she said winking at the boy who nodding, was looking at Dana trying to see her evilness.

“Al!” Dana cried, totally embarrassed.

“What? Is the truth!” proudly stated Alice.

Looking from Alice to the boy, Dana sighed. Leaning backward on the chair, she whispered,

“Yeah well…you…ve been punished yourself”

Nodding, Alice smiled till she realized what Dana was talking about.

“Nurse!…nurse?…”she called standing up, carrying Dana with her

“Michael! I told you shouldnt talk with strangers” said a small brunette noticing Dana and Alices cuffs.

Following Alice, Dana turned to look at the brunette talking with the little cowboy who was still looking at them.

“Nurse!” Alice said knocking on the ERs nurses lounge door.

“Yeah?” Asked the mother of all nurses. A six feet tall short hair brunette with hands bigger than Danas face.

Unable to say a word, amazed, Alice awkwardly smiled.

“I…”she mumbled, impressed.

Noticing the unfriendly look on the nurses face, Dana sweetly said.

“Uh…my friend.. (pointing to Alice with her free hand)…we…we think she has an allergy reaction…”

Moving closer, looking at Alices rush, the nurse from ***** said, her voice deep as an old bottle of whisky.

A doctor should see you…” Saying the words the nurse looked from Alices face to Dana, checking her up, noticing how close they were standing. Then, slowly, she rose an eyebrow.

“Yeah…but…you know…we?we have sort of…another problem…”Dana said realizing that Alice was, surprisingly, still speechless.

“And…what kind of problem is that?” Asked the nurse, crossing her arms.

Blushing, very slowly, Dana lifted her hand. Seeing the cuffs, the nurses face softened a hundred degrees.

“Well, well, well… see what we have here…” she mumbled wickedly smiling.

Blushing even harder, looking around, Dana said, her voice lower,

“We…people are looking at us…”

“Really…wonder why…”the nurse added, looking around, obviously amused.

“Come on in…” she said, inviting the girls into the nurses lounge.

Dana!…” Alice said, stopping Dana.

“What?”

“We cant go in there” Alice whispered, smiling at Florence Nightingale.

“Why?” Wondered Dana, whispering too.

“I know her…”mumbled Alice.

Looking to the nurse and back to Alice, Danas mind processed the information, changing the colour of her face.

“You do?” She asked, amazed.

Seeing the look on Danas face, Alice quickly added,

“No, no, Nooo (opening the eyes widely)…not that way…I…”

Ladies…”Florence said, waving at them with a couple of pliers.

“Oh god…”Alice mumbled following Dana inside.

Smiling, resting in a light sleep, Bette heard somebody entering the room. Opening the eyes, sitting on the bed, Bette saw a nurse walking towards the bed.

“Here we are…you want to go to with your mommy?” The nurse said to the baby.

“She just fell asleep” Bette whispered pointing to Tina.

“I know…I mean you…” the smiling nurse said.

Before Bette was able to react, to say anything, the nurse placed the baby on her arms, adding,

“Its a beautiful baby, congratulations!”


Nodding, unable to move any muscle, Bette saw the nurse walking away. Sighing, feeling her arms tense as steel, she carefully looked down. Looking at the baby, Bette felt as if her heart was going to explode. Seeing the baby, so tiny, so fragile, so delicate. Bette thought shed never seen anything more beautiful in her life.

Looking at her, unable to move her eyes from the weightless figure. Bette sighed again. She looked at the sleeping beauty for a long time, till the baby, in her sleep, lightly moved her tiny hand. Gasping, unaware being trembling, Bette smiled biting her lower lip. Carefully, very slowly she dared to lower her arms to be able, very clumsily, to caress the babys little hand. Unable to move her eyes off her, finding breathing hard, Bette smiled again.

Leaning down, noticing the babys sweet scent, Bette felt her insides tightening by the emotion. Closing the eyes, getting lost in the moment, in the babys spell, Bette started whispering sweet words. Unaware of Tina being watching her, Bette cradled the baby like a natural.Quietly crying, without even noticing the tears, watching Bette holding the baby, Tina fell asleep again.
